  1. So, I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the image of The Dress going around apparently 'breaking' the Internet, but it's totally a thing happening right now. People can't agree whether this dress is White & Gold, or Blue & Black, so I'm sitting over here thinking, 'Where's somebody with the Third Heightening when you need one?' XD So.... without the use of 600 Breaths.... what color do you think this dress is?
  2. Indeed, I have received the email and placed my votes! Lerasium + Electrum please! I know it will be a while until these actually are made and shipped, but until then I will gladly await, and also start playing with my 3 copies of MAG! (1 physical, 2 digital!) Will we get updates in the manufacturing process, like when they're near completed, and starting the packaging phase, and then shipping?
  3. I'm voting for Roger de Bree/Alex (Phattemer) I'll be moving to the Dining Room
  4. Quick, somebody use a large burst of balefire on this entire production! Make it so it never happened!
  5. I will vote for Alvron. I will stay in The Theatre.
  6. Heh, I'm EST, but with my wonky schedule, when I GM from now on, my post times will be all sorts of messed up! Din tried to stay towards the back of the group as they ambled about and shouted at each other. It had taken all of his self control to not bolt from the room on multiple occasions, but he knew that there was no backing out now. He took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves and glanced at those standing around him, also silently waiting for the festivities to begin. We are at a party, right? He asked himself, not exactly certain. He raised his finger up and turned to the person standing next to him to ask them what they were waiting for exactly, but then froze up. No! He yelled at himself. Don't ask that, you'll just look like a fool! Who the heck shows up somewhere and is unsure why they're there? He closed his mouth and then felt awkward as whomever he was about to talk to just looked at him expectantly. Din flushed and brushed his upraised hand through his hair, trying to save the motion and make it look smooth. Great! Now they'll think you're stupid and awkward! "Uhm, waiting for these things can be quite nerve wracking huh?" He finally asked, fishing for something to work off of. He consciously avoided grinding his teeth as he nervously tried to act nonchalantly. As always, this was just exactly how he had expected it to go. He tried to hang back and stay silent, to avoid as much attention -- and judgement -- as possible, but of course he had to put his foot in his mouth before he could even open it. So he made a firm decision. He was going to make a new rule for himself. Before he mustered up the courage to come here and overcome his anxiety, he had promised himself a set of guidelines of how he would act, to avoid uncomfortable situations. So, to adapt to the situation, he had to make himself a new promise. a new Rule to abide by. Whenever he was the room, this White Room, he wouldn't even barely speak. Maybe a sentence or two, but he doubted he could manage much more than that. There were too many people in this room anyway, he reckoned. It was almost a full Legion of people he had to contend with, way too much for him to handle. He would wait til he had smaller groups to contend with. Less people to worry about. Yes. Much safer that way. Feeling a little better, and less daunted by whatever tasks were ahead, Din retreated back to a small corner by himself and slowly started repeating The Rules in his head to relax him until the time came. He even shrugged off the murderous glance some indistinguishable face shot at him from across the room. He figured it was just his paranoia getting at him again, misinterpreting a look, or seeing something in it that wasn't there. Although, he just couldn't help but feel the slight building of panic as a small bead of sweat began to leak down the back of his neck. He gulped. I've made a huge mistake.
  7. When you gaze into The Void, it smiles back.

      Kobold King

Hi Mr. The Void! Looking cheery today!

  8. O.o Huh, well I didn't actually expect Dow to be an OC. To be honest, I thought the votes against him were a bit of a bandwagon, but it probably wasn't worth defending an inactive anyway. The problem I had with everybody's analysis of Dow and his suspicions, I thought Winter was suspicious as well the first half of this game. Looking back now, it was obviously all just not understanding the rule sets completely, or grasping just how fast the Shards were all able to get together and be trusted/verified. From Maw's lack of posts, and Dow not even logging on the site recently, I'm starting to think that the OCs have mostly gone inactive. I mean, let's face it, this Shard Collective and Hoid is pretty storming OP. With Odium locked down, how much of a chance do they really stand? I figure their best best is to just sit back and watch the game play out to it's inevitable end, that or just give up and let the game go into Wrap-up. >.<
  9. Okay, these votes on dowanx might start being considered a bandwagon at some point. Especially considering when, looking at Dowanx's profile, they haven't even been on the forum in the last few days. So I'm not sure what these votes for an inactive are trying to accomplish at the moment, so I'm definitely a little bit suspicious of Swalij and leif now. Or are they Shards too, and me voting for them without knowing somehow will earn me votes, too?
  10. Din peeked back into the White Room. If anything, his trepidation had only grown, but strangely, so had his confidence. Oh, sure. He was shy and awkward around everybody else, but at least he wasn't insane. Not like some of the oddballs in there. So while their strangeness helped him find a sense of ease, their brash and confrontational demeanor was almost enough to send him into a panic. But no. He promised himself that he would face his fears. For as long as he could remember, social situations had always brought him extreme bouts of anxiety. Wait a minute, he paused with a thought. I can't actually remember any social situations I've ever been a part of. It was odd. He could remember always feeling uncomfortable around people, but he just couldn't recall any of those people in particular. What am I even doing here? He thought suddenly, aghast. Had his anxiety gotten so bad, that it had shut out all other aspects of his life? Was that what he was doing here, in this place he couldn't remember going to, surrounded by these people he had no clue who they were, or where they came from? He took a deep breath. "I only know one thing. That I'm going to conquer my fears." He took a gigantic leap and a small step through the door of the White Room, drawing the attention of everybody present. He gulped. "I'm Din." He said, barely above a whisper. Then before he panicked and bolted back out of the room, he shuffled over along the wall, working himself towards the corner and away from everybody's questioning eyes. I'd like to reiterate that I know nothing about the books (but don't care about Spoilers!), so I hope my RP isn't too off, or hope my portrayal of some weird version of Social Anxiety isn't too much! But with that said, I'll officially sign up for this game!
  11. Well, honestly I was completely suspicious of Winter Cloud and Snoopy, with how fast they gained the information they were throwing around in the thread like that, but obviously they seem to have been cleared beyond a doubt with what's all come out >.< So I've been trying to work back through the thread and figure things out from there, because it seems my initial suspicions have been quite off. Our best bet is to look back through and find connections to Vine, right now. See who he was trying to defend or who defended him, if anybody. I am interested on the vote for him though, because in light of him being revealed Poisoner, it does look like the OCs wanted him to be killed, so they could spring the extra kill. So that was why they did the fakeclaim, because they would've won either way. So we should definitely take a look at those who voted with him (one of them being Odium, apparently!) So right now, I'd like call Peng out. His most recent vote just sounds way too defensive about people looking at those votes on Vine. (and I think he then tried to hide the post O.o) Edit: Colour.
  12. I don't really think the show will "catch up" and pass the books all the much. I mean, there's still a lot of middle ground to cover, even with the few character arc cuts that we know of already. But there's still quite a bit to resolve from Season 4, that ties up the ending of Book 3. And with Books 4 and 5 happening at the same time, there is a lot more material to cover between there and now than it seems. Season 5 will have to introduce the entire new Dorne cast, with the Sand Snakes and Prince Doran, resolve everything at The Wall and get it ready to go into that next arc (Book 5). Arya has to reach her destination and begin with all of that, and Sansa in the Vale. Bran will not be in this season, because they've already sped up his arc and he's where he needs to be for now. Now they just have to catch everything else up to the points they need to be. I think we've got a little bit more time before we have to worry just yet about the show surpassing the books. Now, as for possible Spoilerific content and key scenes? Very possible. (Land of Wight Walkers, anybody?) ((Or proving/disproving theories by skipping or including things that were vague or important in the books)) I'll be watching. And I'll be waiting to read.
  13. Well, I was hoping that the trolling that Aonar and Snoopy were doing at the end of the cycle was just misdirection, but it appears that wasn't quite so. >.< It makes sense, since they're apparently all in the Shard Collective, with Hoid as their spokesperson, though, as he's probably Invested up to ying-yang by now XD But with that unexpected hit on Ruin, it does seem like Snoopy and others should be a little bit less loose with information going forward, just to be careful. So how should we proceed with lynches from here on out? Keep casting votes for suspicious people, waiting for Snoopy to come in and say whether that's a good idea or not? (When accidentally going after Shards. But Snoopy or Devotion saving them would basically just confirm them as a target for the OCs.) And finally... for some long awaited RP! Gramps barely managed to avoid the epic explosion as he hobbled his way through the portal from the Cognitive Realm and onto Scadrial. "Rust and ashes." He cursed. He hated this dreary, bleak planet. He had lost his walking staff in his escape from the remains of Nalthis. He was apparently losing some of his dexterity in his old age. At least now he wouldn't have to yell at the young ruffians to stay off his lawn. Although that Fool seemed to be making more noise than normal. "So is nobody going to talk about a storming planet just exploding? I swear, I'm hard of hearing and seeing, but you young folks must have cotton stuffed in yer ears, and blinders attached to ye foreheads. Even a ruckus like that can wake me." So, seriously, though. Are we not going to mention a planet exploding? I don't see the chances of a Villager Unmade hanging back so far and just randomly using their powers, exactly. It was myself, Luckat, dow, peng, and twelfth (and Joe!) on it at the time. It sounds like we have an awakener just reveal themselves, do we move on from there and start scanning?
  14. Hmmmmm. I'm really on the fence about joining this game! I'm just debating if I'll have enough time for two games or not! (I barely time enough time for the one! XD) So, while I'm hedging on joining up or not, let me at least create a character! Din peered in from outside of the White Room, trying to hide in the shadows and remain unseen. He wasn't trying to be creepy or anything... he was just a little bit.... anxious. He let out a huge rush of breath. There, he had finally admitted it. Now if only he could stop delaying and confront.... ....One of the people inside the room shifted how they were standing, and Din wasn't sure if he was seen or not so he ducked out of the way regardless. Just breath. 1,2,3,4. 1,2,3,4. He slowly calmed down and then cursed himself a fool. Why was there any reason to not just walk in there, say hi, and introduce himself? He just had to make sure he didn't do anything embarrassing. Or say anything silly. Or offend one of them, somehow. He hated being confrontational, especially unintentionally. He wiped the sweat off the palms of his hands on his pants, hoping they didn't leave any sort of visible sweat stain. He didn't want to be seen as dirty and unkempt. He had to make a good first impression. So Din just went back into hiding in the shadows, slowly repeating the names he could hear being declared through the thin walls of the White Room. He would make sure he at least knew all their names if he showed up. If being the keyword there. He really wasn't sure if he was ready for this or not. So, once again, not officially signing up yet, but this will definitely be interesting to watch or participate in, either way! I actually haven't read anything of Legion yet, so I just focued more on personal RP, trying to follow the whole theme of mental illness. If anybody things I may have overdone it, please let me know and I'll temper/remove it immediately!
  15. Have we really gotten to the point where a gloating eliminator gets more upvotes than the write-up? XD But yeah, it is rather obvious that we were wrong about Vine, well played good sir. And many apologies, Ant! >.< Snoopy has been dropping some less than subtle hints about things in the thread, and I'm still not exactly sure how he's gotten into such a position to be so free with information like that. Should we assume Ruin is going to be doing his thing on Vine tonight, or is worrying about Skeletals a thing? Because roleblocking Vine probably won't accomplish much, as I doubt he's invested anymore. ^^Proper example of Out of Game Blue text and regular Black text Edit: Oh, and @Peng, I changed my avatar just recently, only last couple days.
  16. Fiendish Gamma Lights Smiling Down Upon Us

  17. I don't think votes are considered grouping on you when you are the more suspicious of the two people in question. (Vine and yourself). Because I did actually wait to see what you said in defense before voting for you. First you pointed the finger at Vine, but didn't vote for him even though you still only had a handful of votes against you at the time. And then you even suggested that he could maybe have been the Ruin kill? As all Odium kills have been being shown with red smoke in the write-ups and are very distinct. So I'll be keeping my vote on you.
  18. Well it looks like the lynchtrain is doing it's think on Ant. His defense does basically seem like the exact scenario that's been mentioned, so there was really nothing to go off of there. Although that is interesting if he recently showed up on Yolen, like Swalji posted above, that is rather suspicious. One thing real quick though: Eh, as a past GM, I can say, that I did thoroughly enjoy trolling players in my LG6 game when being asked about the possibility of a secret role, and while I did leave them on the hook for it for a day or so, I ultimately only trolled the possibility because I didn't in fact have a secret role, but even then, I relented rather quickly. And really, isn't this game complicated enough without secret roles??
  19. Well, I hope this Devotion knows what they're doing. But Snoopy would have just been a distraction from the real lynch now, as we have the exact scenario that was being discussed last turn! O.o So I want to wait and hear from Antillar first before I cast my vote, because I am kind of wary of an OC fakeclaim happening. Joe, does the Witness get explicitly mentioned in the write-up (was it when Mek looked behind him and thought he heard somebody?? Or would it be more direct than that?) Does the Witness get publicly revealed, or revealed to just the killer? If we can get a ruling on that, that would be helpful to figure out the likelihood of the fakeclaim being successful and worth the risk for them.
  20. Heh, the same few people apologize for off-thread tangents, and then get right back to it. I didn't mean to come across as heavy though, there is absolutely nothing wrong with joking around and having a good time in these games, that proves we're coming together as a community and generally having fun! It's just that eliminators will try to take as much advantage as possible with that sort of behaviour becoming commonplace. The more we encourage posts that provide content to the thread, and contain analysis, and encourages game discussion and participation, the less any eliminator can get by on just posting the bare minimum required. The more we get people talking, the more we can get a feel for them! Which leads me into responding to Unodus... The lynch is exactly one half of what this entire game is. It's our tool for hunting the Eliminators. Without a lynch, there's no pressure for people to actively participate in this game, and any OCs can just sneak on by without any sort of suspicion. Mislynches are a part of this game, and they will happen. That's been discussed many of times before. It's the information we then grab from those mislynches that helps us moving forward. Who defended the lynchee? Who was up for vote instead? Was there an influx of suspicious last minute votes? How were the votes manipulated? (that last one doesn't really count for this game with the shards and all!) XD Without a lynch, then the OCs don't have to worry about any pressure at all this game, and we lose our biggest edge in finding them. Which leads into discussion about our best way leading forward to find an OC or Odium. The Witness. The idea of a fakeclaim being made about the Witness does seem severely unlikely, as it just buys that player a turn at most. But the whole assumption that everybody is saying that the OCs absolutely won't make such a gambit? The members of House Urbain are rolling over in their ash covered graves! The fact that multiple people are saying such a thing suggests that they would indeed try such a gambit. Yeah, sure, it loses them a member that's already being outted and going to die regardless, but it gains them the death of the Witness, the single best tool I've seen in finding killers in all of the games we've played so far. So I wouldn't say there's absolutely no way that the OCs would try that exact ploy. Thus the Highprince of Paranoia has spoken.
  21. One quick thing here real quick, while there's nothing exactly wrong with having good times with this game, and making jokes and laughing, but we really should work on making all of our posts in these threads be quality posts -- meaning with sustenance and content. Looking over this thread, it's 3 pages long, but probably with only a page to a page and a half of actual game discussion. Like I said, I found the tangents and jokes quite hilarious and amusing, and I will be friendly with my upvotes, but we really shouldn't let ourselves get so distracted so easily. That just seems like that's the perfect place for the eliminators to hide this game, since we've already discussed possibly taking out inactives, so they might be less likely to be hiding in there, but they could just then go for the next best thing -- posting, but not really saying anything, just popping in with quick comments and jokes to keep themselves under the radar. Question: Who all has still be inactive/mostly inactive this game? Because while we did discuss the Ruin-Inacive plan a little bit, that would have been enough to prompt the OCs to not hide in there this game, knowing they could be found while hiding, but the fact that we've kind of stopped talking about those plans, and very well have people who might be sneaking by while not really being active makes me wary that an OC or two could hide back in the inactives. Especially if there's really no longer any threat for them not to. Just something to consider.
  22. Well, storms, didn't expect that one, O.o, although I'm not too surprised Cultivation ended up putting a secret vote of Clanky as well from how they had acted at first. I will be keeping an eye on Winter Cloud, and also Snoopy, who ended up without any votes on them somehow. I guess now that Clanky was just trying to find information on who may be trying to manipulate things to poison them? I dunno. I guess a good thing he didn't select a target to take with him, as that role definitely seems like it could've helped balance the numbers late game if needed be. Excellent write-ups by the way, Joe! *Stop writing and have my up-votes!*
  23. Just posting an update and letting people know that we are indeed always welcoming any requests to GM a game! Just get ahold of myself, Wilson, or Meta, and let us know the game you want to run, and what size game it would be (LG, MR, QF), and we'll add you to the Lists no problem!. We are particularly looking for GMs for the Mid-Range and Quick Fix size games, as those tend to go end more quickly! I have seen lots of great game suggestions, and even better ideas and mechanics being proposed in this thread! I, for one, am excited to see how far we've taken this game on this sub-forum in just over the year it's been here, and am looking forward to seeing what we all come up with moving ahead! If you've come up with a game idea, but don't want to necessarily GM it, no problem, just when you're posting your ideas, just put a disclaimer that anybody can feel free to use your game, or certain rules or mechanics they like from it! So even people who haven't felt comfortable creating their own games can potentially run a game if they are so inclined! So, if you have any questions, or want to sign up, feel free to contact myself, Wilson, or Meta, and we'll get you ready to go!
