  1. Some days I see clouds, others birds, always paired with trees. Wind and rain and sun all together to form something greater, almost another world in this one. If I could choose, I would always be there, gazing up, time passing. But life is rarely that kind. Instead, I see plain white ceiling and harsh lights, linoleum floor with the sounds of a classroom, here every day for a purpose we don’t exactly see. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind being here, but don’t see the meaning behind it. The purpose. The drive. I’ll do the work, the presentations, the practicals, with a smile on my face, but I won’t really mean it. And when all of that is over, I go back. Far away from all the noise. To the wind, clouds and sky. For another few hours, before I am drawn back into mundanity. The cycle continues. Until it doesn’t. One day I find that there is no mundanity to return to. It had all been destroyed in a battle for the extraordinary. So I turn back to the sky and sun, the only place that will take me now. I’m not glad about this, but I can live with it. I can live in peace.

  3. January brings hope, false but there, for a new self, new life, new world February sees continuation, lessening, but existent Only time will tell if it is persistent March tests dedication, as it flickers and wanes fighting along with the other pains April heralds the news of change For better or worse, you escape the curse May is spent pondering, reflecting on the time gone by Was it all for a lie? June feels slow The progress takes long to load, the days cold July is the worst Days shorten and expectations increase in size Every day a reprise August struggles with much the same, though change is once again on its way We just have to stay September brings spring, which in turn brings life Metaphorically and literally, you’ve made it, be proud October experiences a resurgence A new light, a new hope Let's see if this one was really up to scratch November finds challenge, though this one meaningful, as the flowers bloom again December becomes lax Just enough, to fall into the cycle again
  4. I don't know if anyone here does Artfight, but my user's 'Katalri_105' if anyone wants to attack.

  6. Hmm… then probably something like Mistborn would be a good starting point. I myself haven’t read the most yet, so I probably can’t give the best advice, but there are plenty of people on here who can
  7. Hello! Welcome to the 17th Shard! I started with Skyward as well, but I think that there can be many viable starting points. What genre of book do you usually read?
  8. It will pass with time… and eventually the next one will come…
  9. Don’t worry… it passes eventually… (mine was in early May)
  10. It might look like I’m appearing out of nowhere, but this was originally a thread started by me that kind of died. But then got revived. Thanks KSauce Back on the previous island, 105 walked out of the cafe. It was the morning after almost drowning, and they knew what they had to do. Before leaving, they had ordered a few pouches of hydrogen peroxide. They were going to find Viridis. He was just too intriguing to let go.

Stressful… (the reading bit) but the ending was nice (though i was reading it REALLY quickly so I might’ve missed something…)

  13. Yep… For others in the program, you can choose but for the specific one I want to join, this year, the auditions excerpts are, one in A flat major (violin btw), and one that requires shifting to I think 5th position and a choice piece. Goodluck!
  14. Alas… time zones and schedules… *picks up the eyes and puts them back in their sockets* Exactly! Just don’t sleep till 2am! I want to join my local youth orchestra but like all the pieces for the audition are hard….
  15. My OG instrument….. what trauma do you have with it…?
  16. *gasp* Another one…. I’m a band kid who plays an orchestra instrument because my school doesn’t have an orchestra *WIDENS EYES MORE*
  17. Pride month has started…. (In my time zone at least)

  18. Measure up, they say “Be like the others, it’s not that hard” But I see the others And they’re dying as much as I am, heart, body and soul Measure up, they say To the ones who work now, relax later To the ones who we have lost, long ago Work and die now, be dead later Measure up, they say When the cup has no bottom and each accomplishment, each success falls into the void Measure up, they say As a projection of self As if saying that will solve all their problems as well as mine As if they’re not perpetuating a loop that has existed as long as we have
  19. Having thoughts not my own Having doubts not my own Having opinions not my own Having experiences not my own Every day not my own Every second not my own It started as a moment, a moment of weakness Moments turned days, and days turned weeks, and weeks turned months, and months turned years Now noting is my own, only a copy of someone else A whole life lived, but was it my own?
