keep in mind shes the sister of a king, messing alot with her could cause war or other huge problems =) wasnt there something like only the kings ardents are allowed to use soulcasters in the aleti kingdom?

the spren say they were betrayed by the humans. this seems the reason they didnt comunicate with anyone for a very long time. we know the knightradiants are comming back and they will have close relations with the spren, they need their cooperation and help. but what are the spren going to think about the more and more common use of fabricals? (the enslavement/slaughter(!?) of spren) are the future KR going to prevent the use of fabricals? dismantle/disenchant shardblades/plates to free the spren? i guess if fabricals would be accepted by the spren, the "old" KR would have used lots of them. how easy would it be to make them with the cooperation of the spren?, but we dont hear anything of old fabricals, except of the soulcasters(shardplate/plate?) we dont see any fabrical use in Dalinars visions. this has alot of confilct potential, who would accept to stop using/building them except the KR?

dont forget thouse blades are very dangerous, if you cut/pirce anyone or even youreselfe by exident you will deal permanent damage, or even kill. holding out youre hand will savekeep everyone around you, including youreselfe. if the summoning of the blades would be more casual and in any stance, there would be atleast a very few exidents. it would be, i guess, a huge shame to hurt someone by exident. maybe radiants can use their shardblade like a normal sword, and prevent dealing any damage.

please keep in mind, thouse shard were never created to kill ppl, they were made to fight the monsters of the desolation. i dont see many advantages of a spear like shard weapon, as soon as you would puncture something farther then the "shard spearhead" youre weapon would get stuck badly. keep in mind you fight huge much stronger creatures, which would move with that spear sticking in them. you would have to summon the spear again after each strike which does not kill or disable youre oponent. even if they just fall down, you would have all their weight blocking youre spear. --- im actualy no longer sure this encounter will actualy happen. i guess that the desolation will change the mindset of szeth. hes going to abandon his "stone" and go a different way, maybe home to warn his ppl. i dont think he will join forces with the alethi, he was just part of an interlude, which somehow tells me that he will not become more. this encounter would be much more then a interlude point of view. i dont think we have any interaction between interlude characters and the main ones yet. the point of having interludes in the book itselfe would get a bit silly if thouse characters would have more impact on the book then the none interlude point of views. so it would be more or less wrong to have szeth chapters as part of the interludes, when he kills any of the main point of view characters. if the hole spear would work like a shardblade, there would be no difference to a sword. so a spear is useless as a shard, because it needs to be summoned again after each strike, or get traped in the bodies.

brandon was allways hinting that pov chars can die - how he liked it from martin. so if Sazeth realy attacks, i think a pov char is going to die, not sure which one. otherwise it could be just some heroic death against the voidbringer forces.

maybe this encounter will never happen. if Szeth would see a voidbringer, he might decide that his belive is no longer correct or importand enough.

i dont think Sazeth will retreat. because what he realy wants it so die, but he cant commit suicide. so he can only die in combat. i guess they will capture Sazeth, and then things can happen. maybe some of thouse KR idomes might stop him.

maybe ask about the huge spren from the interlude, which allways surfaces at sunrise from the ocean.. it was shown us as a curiosity in the book, but i think it is more then that. --- there are things we will learn for sure with the comming books, but some things will be allways in question =)

if the KR know they would channle the stormlight from other KR, they would just carry a small sack of gemstones instead, and avoid the problem. i would need to read the chapter again, to say anything about this. but it seems reasonable that something else provided strength for the catching of the claw. or shardplates can realy provide so much strength and toughness.

hmm if i look at the plate armor it has a visor, dont see anything special on it either, so i would say a normal plate armor. dont se anything special on the spear either - do we have different pictures? =)

sounds interresting. but i think the strom would need to be realy fast to reach most of the planet within a week. the size of the storm would be very huge think the storm is usualy longer then 2-3 hours -> so it would be realy large like a continent. because of that i think its unlikely just one storm. maybe several permanent storms?

i think a moving chasmfiend is like an earthquake, propably sounding like a rockslide. so whatever they hunt will know long ahead. small things could easely hide away, with that much warning. i cant see chasmfiends activle hunting, maybe ambushing. but go after alered pray? will be alot of running for each kill. <- hunting like this in the chasms? sounds impossible. maybe they need very little food, and get alot of ther energy from stormlight.

maybe the chasmfiends were bound to honor spreen, and the result of hunting them was that Kaladin could meet one if the first place. idk i guess bridge 4 would have fould the creatures which gets eaten by chasmfiends, but nothing at all - this is actualy very odd. i dont think a cashmfiend can hunt in silence. so maybe an ambush hunter? i kind of dont think they were eating inside the shattered plains before - we would have heared/seen the pray. so maybe they went outside the shatterded plains to hunt, but dont have to now, with all the bodies of the war. i guess thouse chasmfiends have to eat something like 100-500kg of food a day(ok i dont know much about large predators and how much they eat.), actualy the size of them would suggest that they eat plants(or a bit crazy stone/dirt), because there is no large pray which they could hunt.(atleast we know of)

you can atleast shatter it with a shardblade, which is a magic attack. and i ment soulcast more like in a workshop then on the battlefield. likely it can be destroyed in the same way its created. some crazy thought about shardplate, shardplate adapts to the size of the person carring it, can you put it on a horse? that would be a battelingram lol

wonder why you dont get to the maybe? simple way to destroy shardplate? souldcast it?

i dont remember when Kaladin said it about holding the stormlight. but there could be a connection to the parshendi-carcasse armor and holding the stormlight better. there are some clues that parshendi can use highstorms/(stormlight?) in some way with their bodies to transform. maybe parshendi could hold stormlight much better... just guessing =)

maybe spren are only interrested for bounds when the desolation is near/started. we dont know of any way to destroy a shard-plate/blade. shardplate can be deformed and hacked into pices, but regrown from anypart. but it seems to be one entitiy, you can only grow one plate with the pices, not as many as there are pices. maybe the passage about regrowing shardplate could give a small insight, if there are spren used for the plate.

idk maybe Sly could speak/motivate other spren to bound with ppl. usualy she has no reasons todo so, but i guess Odium winning the desolation would be bad for the spren too.

maybe the requirements to become a radiant will drop when it becomes known that the desolation is here.

the name SHARDblade and SHARDplate could be a very human thing. do we have any Radiant or someone in Dalinars vision calling them SHARDS? let the series start 20 years later, and halveSHARDS would be a known item, called SHARD too. i can see a connection between cut gems(shards?) and SHARDplates, which use gems as power source. not everything the characters in the book say/think/belive is true. there can be alot of missdirection for the reader. but youre right there could be a connection or not, we just dont know much and from bad sources, until further books are out.

not that i know about, but maybe calklings arent effected by the field of the line, but only by the calk.

so the knight radiant had "relationships" with honor spren - but they threw away their plates/swords with "traped" friends? sounds wrong. i would like to say again, shardplate and sword are very different, one seems indestructable, the other can be grown back from parts, but take easly damage,

dont think Kaladin is able to teach Renarin anything. a spear is a very different weapon to a sword or a hammer. we allready know that the weapons for Renarin will be a sword, a huge hammer/mallet and the greatbows. maybe he can help him with bow technices. even with his weakness, im sure Renarin was trained in weapons for a very long time. dont think this in an optional thing for alethi men. he could be even trained in shardblade stances, because who would have used Dalinars shards after his death?

i would like to add here, that powerfull in the magic is maybe not as importand as being more skilled in the magic. --- im not sure if Cultivation and Honor is bound so much on human ideals then on natures. some animals eat/kill their weak children, are they less honorable now? isnt the most honorable thing to sacrifice youreselfe for youre family, do all you can to save/help them - like Shallan tried? the parhsendi are not human, they will most likely think/feel different about honor. maybe we bring to many human and standards of our own time into this. --- so Jasnah is doing something evil because of this interaction with an assassin? if i had to compare Jasnahs position in the world with ours, i would say shes like a member of the cabinet (USA) is it evil for them to speak with the CIA or NSA? thouse high princes represent states of the alethi kingdom.(very new kingdom)

there is another way - i agree its unlikely, but Sylphrena could be a windspren which wishes to be a honor spren. or there are no honor spren at all, and spren wish to be thouse.
