  1. I'm going to join. Name: Retereter RPW: Reader for now, I might change to Board Player. Fav Genre: Sci-fi Fav Plot Concept: Sudden betrayels Fav Main Concept: Speculative Evolution
  2. I wish to be clear, the Shards you all choose now are not guaranteed to be the ones you get. The allocation will be RPed once we have 16.
  3. Welcome to the Shard!

I see that you created an account for the Aether of Night Manuscripts, but if you have any plans to do anything else, I recommend you make an introductory post here.

    1. The Metallian

      The Metallian

      Thanks for the tip!

  4. Rhynchosaurus It's a Triassic Archosauromorph, which mean it's closest living relatives are crocodiles and dinosaurs (birds) See the resemblance?
  5. Really nice, actually. Get a nice summer at the end of the year. Where I live (This does not apply to the whole of Australia): Decemeber to January it's actually hot February and March are alright April starts getting cold May it's definitely cold. Rainy too. June and July, freezing (not literally [actually on one occasion literally]) August, still cold September to November usually nice temperatures again The actual seasons are: Dec to Feb: Summer Mar to May: Autumn Jun to Aug: Winter Sep to Nov: Spring I want to note that in Australia, it doesn't snow unless you live on a mountain. Unless somewhere in Tas it snows.
  6. 2nd Ideal. Also, for Lightweaver truths, you don't have to post them here if you don't wish to. Just tell us when you say the Words. 4th Ideal Windrunner, 3rd Ideal Skybreaker? Now, something I want to note. Kaladin didn't say his second Ideal until he was already saving Dalinar's army, and his third was only after he started defending Elhokar. You must prove you can do it before saying the Words. I know my next words, but I can't say them until I prove I can do it. I feel that your 4th Ideal doesn't much much right now because your 2nd and 3rd haven't fully come into effect yet, but when you become like late RoW Kaladin it will. Regardless, welcome to the Knights Radiant. Welcome, Radiant. Now, just to make it sound cooler and fit with the other ideals, even though it's got the same meaning, you could say, 'I will reach my potential and strive to become the best version of myself'. You know, these are words I might say someday. But not for some time now, as I've got so say the Truthwatcher 3rd Ideal, Mathematical Radiant 2nd Ideal (See the Bookbringer's Extra Radiant Coalition) and maybe the 3rd Ideal.
  7. The RP itself won't have major story spoilers. However, I marked spoilers for one reason. It's inevitable that people, myself included, will draw comparisons from the real Cosmere to the RP one, and for something this scale I just don't think we can tag all of that. Examples: RoW HoA You all have already talked about the non-intervention agreement here. That isn't spoilery, but things could easily get there. @Spark of Hope @Hoid Slayer if you think this'll be fine, go ahead and join. Otherwise, I won't force you.
  8. I'll do this. Not now, but hopefully within 4 hours. EDIT: Alright I'm doing this now. My character... is a bronze/tin Twinborn named Bronitotin. I might change that name later.
  9. The 3 realms. I think you forgot the Dreamscape, which I reappear in. Also my 2 clones are still in Physical. They have slightly different spirit webs, especially the one I name Sandy, who is a fourth Ideal Mathematical Radiant. Sandy sends you to the SR, while using Realm Manipulation to pull @sneak spooky spook guy out.
  10. Hello! Have you read Ender's Game, The Three-Body Problem, Red Rising or Dune? Have you read all of the Cosmere?
  11. Yes. Some of them at least. The Sho Del too. That should be fine. We still need 8 more Shards. Yeah, if you all choose to do it, it must be RPed.
  12. Alright Radiants. On Friday, I helped a friend prepare for a test when I normally would've left 'em to their own devices. I think of getting the hang of the Second Ideal. I know what I must say next, but I need to prove to myself I can actually do it before saying the Words. Also, I'm contemplating making an Unoathed thread. Any thoughts on this? Of course, I'm not Unoathed, but I feel like there would be some Unoathed.
  13. Hello! Welcome to the Shard. What is your favourite Cosmere character? Are you talking about your display name? So you're a Willshaper. Do you want to be Radiant?
  14. You undo mistakes. Your bane is that you do not get a cool bane. But that is a bane... so there isn't a bane... which means there is... which means there isn't...
  15. Accepted. All good. I was thinking of making it so that the Shattering destroyed Yolen in the process, flinging the Dawnshards away. It only gave the 16 enough time to take a Shard and run.
  16. I had completely forgotten who Cenn was before this. A 'tune that no man can hear', does this refer to the Wind or his therapy?
  17. Mil was happy with whatever occupation he could get at the Keep. As long as he didn't have to trudge through ash every day and sleep in the all-consuming mist every night.
  18. I completely missed when I became a House Lord and I have 100 rep! Actually I have 101 now... *sigh*.
  19. Mil Veriel arrived at Blackkeep. A distant off-shoot of the Tekiels, he had found the Keep after his village was destroyed by a band of Inquisitors. He had managed to hide and was the only survivor. Even his parents hadn't made it. Mil, then only 17 years old, had to flee or risk starvation as the combination of the Deepness and growing ashfalls blocked out sunlight. For a year, he been been a wandering scavenger, subsisting on food scraps, or, if he was lucky, hunting feral sheep. But now, all of that could change. In Blackkeep, he could wait out the events of the world. Everything will go back to normal, he told himself, even though he know that wasn't possible. Everyone he'd ever known was already dead. The only thing he do now was survive. Mil knew that he had a decent chance of being an Allomancer. His father was 1/4 noble Thug that worked in a plantation, and was such a nice guy that the plantation lord's daughter, Mil's mother, fell in love with him. So Mil was 5/8 noble. But even Allomancy might not help him at the end of the world. Mil would have to rely the resourcefulness and the ability to process information he acquired over the last year.
