  1. Taeidin glances around like a deer frozen in headlights. "Uh..." He reaches out, trying to sense a way in which he can help. Turning, he opens a nearby door, revealing a dark chamber beyond. Within seconds, three bat-like creatures with barbed tails fly out, emitting ear-splitting screeches. Taeidin, clearly not expecting that, stumbles backwards. "Where are we?" he demands again.
  2. I think that aspect of the Wall is mostly meant to restrain Narrators from leaving the Thread due to their insane power level, but I'm not entirely certain.
  3. Sauerkraut! Wait no Goggles
  4. A man looked up from where he had been resting on a stump, shocked. He quickly signaled to the others to gather around him. They came, concerned at his expression. "We've found him." "What, now? This is a horrible time!" one responded. He sighed inwardly. Yes, with Erdikan not here right now, the timing was certainly not advantageous. But if they didn't act, they risked losing him again. "We must return. I just spoke with First, and she thinks she can get us there, as it is a particularly hard to reach location." He paused just a second. "Everybody, to me." Within instants, they all had faded out, leaving no trace other than the two pulsing black spheres floating overhead, which soon winked out as well. This isn't meant for interacting with; it's just a sort of cutscene.
  5. Taeidin looks around. This was definitely not where he had come from. Perhaps Asharak had been thinking about... wherever he was? There were a lot of people here he didn't recognise. But he did see Cep and Erryin. He started towards them, then stopped as, to his shock, a woman who had been standing nearby attacked. Taeidin took a few steps backward, wary. "What's going on here? Where are we?" Ah yeah this should work.
  6. Mmmm That's kinda what I figured Go ahead But you will have to forgive me if I do what I am contemplating right now
  7. There was never a rock in the first place, so I allow you to succeed. I also won our game of rock paper scissors and collect the sandwich as my prize. I take it back to Arrakis for safekeeping.
  8. Ash did not. He just had to quickly come up with a reason not to. ... Ah, of course! Ash thinks to himself. Aloud, he suggests that he was not, in fact, too lazy to check, citing evidence from multiple other threads where he had gone back through the pages to look for obscure details.
  9. You didn't specify when...
  10. The diamond rock, by definition, is still a rock, so it sees much of the same effects, with exception that this time, as it bounces off, a streetlamp falls onto it and smashes it into pulp.
  11. Ash had noted that, of course, but was too lazy to check if any were nearby. Also, he assumed one would simply appear anyways.
  12. Bro is apologizing for apologizing And don't you dare say sorry again Convenient. Taeidin opened the door and stepped through.
  13. I bury the evidence.
  14. I hold up a giant sheet of sinusoidal paper that I had so cleverly just invented, and the rock bounces off. Such is the way of things.
  15. Ash was extremely intelligent at times. This was not one of those times. He was also ridiculously stubborn. Hence: he sits on a spiny chair until Coder acknowledges that he was correct. And then he finds some way to switch sides and prove that he was wrong, for the sole purpose of continuing the argument. This tended to be how such things went. Also, Ash mentions to Kansas, assuming he is nearby, purple is a goated color.
  16. No seriously you're fine Taeidin watches the images play through. This is what he came for. Asharak was split off because of some sort of trauma involving this woman being sent away. So if she could be brought back, then perhaps he would see reason. Or maybe he could be convinced, without her actually returning. Either way, he was done here. Taeidin looked around for a way out. When he got back, he would have to see what he could pry from the Father about this person.
