  1. “And what would that be?” he whispered back, humoring her.
  2. “Or you could take the more conventional method of using a protagonist. It was my impression that Malevolence is already trying the ‘other antagonist’ thing and it hasn’t worked yet.”
  3. “He’s the Antagonist, currently has most of the Thread under the dominion of his empire, and wants to unleash the Witherlord as its Mantle. I met him a bit ago at a party. Overall has done an excellent job of making things hard for us.” Why are you waiting for me? Did I miss something? “I suppose we are here?” Taeidin remarks to Erryin. @Keke
  4. Wow. This is an impressive piece of writing so far; I hope you get around to finishing it.
  5. Emphatic
  6. “I’m not exactly going to turn down help, if you’re offering.” I gots no clue what Rebus is doing beyond making vague threats and being basically everywhere. I think he’s pretty much given up on the Lost Pages for now.

  13. I snap the violin in half to stop the torture. A dying cat would sound better.
  14. Erdikan raised an eyebrow at her. “That would be wonderful for us, so be my guest, but I think you will find that to be very difficult to achieve.”
  15. He scowled at her. “It’s been a while since I’ve had to fight something like that. And I suppose I may have been a little hasty,” he conceded.
  16. Erdikan teleported away. Out of the duel, out of the plane. He appeared on a lonesome, rocky expanse, wind battering him. He had no idea where Ribbon had gotten to, but they weren’t there for the fight. He probably should have marked them, he realized in hindsight. “That,” Erdikan said to himself, “did not work.”
