    I was originally going to do a post in Mistborn about the 3 metallic ones, but this is more widespread & Cooler.     He didn't have enough time and materials to charge up the Gold feruchemy and then use gold allomancy in that short amount of time with his limited Bendalloy on his person. It would take signifigant prep and planning to have enough time and reasources, of which he did not have enough of.
