  1. Ver began to object, then hesitated and thought. These people seemed like the good guys. Maybe they were worth working with. “Good luck accessing them. I didn’t even know I HAD modes until recently. O assume they are written into my code… perhaps they can be temporarily blocked somehow, but I would be afraid of how that could interfere with some of my other functions.” Ver made a conscious choice to ignore that for now. Wrath! ”Please forgive our friend here. He is a particularly… chaotic aspect of Eternity. His speech does not always alone with his behavior.”
  2. “O - okay, then.” Another mind reader, then. Huh. The Cloud hadn’t put up any resistance to their exit at all. Of course, they were probably eager to get them off world, but it was still a little worrying. “Well, you must understand, I am not exactly… physical.” Ver waved his void-flesh arms. “What could I possibly give up?”
  3. *hugs* I get it. I feel like an outsider in my friend group too. Even if you don’t feel recognized, you are important to them. And when they need someone the most, you’ll be there. Not many people can claim that. *hugs tight* Oh, Hawks You’re right. We need to face life. We can’t run away forever. And I’m happy you’re finding away to do that. It’s easy to dwell on the past. To miss the times that were better. But… We can never go back. You didn’t kill that boy. Life did. And to shield himself from those challenges, to protect himself from all that pain, that boy created you. You are his champion. That boy never survived the things you did. He never felt all that pain, and chose to live. So yeah, maybe that boy was so much happier. And maybe that is something worth mourning. But you are infinitely stronger. Uhh… what?
  4. Ver nodded, satisfied for now. ”Then take us to this ‘Custom’. Our time is running.” Ver neglected to mention the hidden reason he was excited to interact with divinities once more, a reason he was still attempting to understand himself. Perhaps they could help him recover his past. Perhaps they could help him finally figure out what he was.
  5. Thanks, guys *hugs* Ur awesome too, Hawks. Ooh! Otter, please BECAUSE Life doesn’t make sense nearly as much as it should *hugs* *sigh* do not trust everything you see on the internet Although you ARE technically dying As in you will die eventually But for now, cherish the living And don’t trust Google Aye Beautiful, isn’t it?
  6. Ughhhhhhh *groans* Why am I such a storming piece of crem? Why can't I do anything right? All I've done all week is do nothing, but I still feel so tired I'm just tired of everything I could use some hugs right now
  7. Okay, I see how I look really suspicious My new wincon has to do with going to the village. That’s not all of it; I’ll probably discover more once I’m there. But considering my new wincon is called “Discover the Secret of Area X”, I would say I’m on a good track.
  8. Hey guys!

So, today I was bored at school, so I wrote a random scene that would take place in book four of the book series I will get around to writing someday

For some context, the characters are both like 18, but they've been through a LOT in the past books. And going through all of that as just teenagers... gave them some serious trauma. The two of them are really close, and this scene would take place after they haven't seen each other for a while. The guy (Aytun) is basically having an existential crisis, and before this, he mentions that he wishes he could go back to being the sweet, innocent boy he was before any of this happened.

It's a little dramatic, but it just came to me and I thought I should write it down before I forget, so I hope you like it

(Also, this might be slightly inspired by the Mental Health club)

    Spoiler
“I want things to go back to the way they were.”
“I know. But that boy...” Aytun heard Bea take in a deep breath, and turned to face her. But her own face was rigid, her gaze focused on the distance. “That boy didn’t go through all that you went through. He didn’t survive what you did. That boy...” A silence, and Aytun knew that Bea wasn’t now speaking only for him. “That boy is dead. He didn’t make it.” A silent tear, trickling down Aytun’s skin. “But you... you did. Tell me,” Bea finally looked at him, and her face was wet with tears as well. “Who is stronger? That little boy, that thought the world was perfect? Or you, a warrior. You...” Bea choked up a little, and Aytun waited. He felt his own weight begin to rise in his chest, up his throat, but he didn’t make a sound. He just sat there, and listened. “You saved me when no one else would. You saw something in me. I’m here because of you. You’re amazing, Aytun. You’re a miracle.”
    ...
Bea was sobbing shamelessly now. It came in a wave, suddenly overwhelming her and tearing up and down her body. The weight suddenly came back, pushing her under, drowning her. All the things she had hid away. The massacre at the plains. The years of war and bloodshed. Even the fire that night, when it all began. They all returned, and she sobbed.
And then, suddenly, a new weight arrived. It wrapped around her shoulders, and fell against her newly washed hair. Aytun had wrapped his arm around her. He leaned his head against her own, and it took her a second to realize he was sobbing too. Their bodies rose and fell together, and this time, Bea didn’t try to hide her demons. She let them run free, wracking her body, tearing it apart from the inside. She let them consume her. The two sat there, together. Broken. Breaking. They let the pain, the hurt, the nothing wash over them. And let the tears wash it all away.
    ...
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, Aytun managed to choke out a response amid the tears. It was weak, and his voice cracked halfway through.
            “I miss that boy.”
            “Me too.”

Every now and then I think of moments of these and I’m just like “oh, that would be so cool to put in book three!” or something. But I haven’t actually made any progress writing the books cause I don’t know how to start and I don’t have time 😭

  9. The Fox had been left in the temple quarters with Owen. The same temple that had been occupied by the Cloud, who had later pulled out of the caverns. If they had taken the Fox with them... Ver stepped forward. "I am most definitely coming. But first, we must search for the Fox... he is a friend of ours. A minor divinity of the local pantheon of this world. His powers are nocturnal, and he fell asleep when the sun rose... the last we saw of him was before much of this whole ordeal. I am afraid the Cloud may now have him in their possesion."
