    The serpents circle her warily, then begin to strike one by one, aiming for her face. As soon as he ran, the darkness in the water convulsed, and more serpents grew out of it to attack him. They lunge at him, red eyes flaring, aiming to bring him down. Several things happened all at once, or rather, in a short span of time. First, Alfonce began to run. He dashed straight towards the force of serpents, hoping to brute his way past them and get to the Beyonder. Second, the serpents lunged, rising out of the water yet remaining connected to it, and move to tackle Alfonce. And finally... Taurian grabs Alfonce's arm just as the serpents hit, and the entire group is tossed into the swirling water. They twist and turn, slamming into the bottom of the pool and continuing to be pressed down. Every now and then, they are able to get their heads above water, but then the beasts attack with renewed vigor, and they go back under. As consciousness begins to fade, the pair sees an odd reflection of the Beyonder, fractured through the water, seemingly chuckling. Taurian tries to walk over. In his current state, he's more flailing around, fighting off the serpents trying to keep him under. As soon as the beings lifted off into the air, the water began to churn and wave, disturbed by the movements. The darkness grew. But it was not the beings' motion that made it strike. It was the shedding of blood. As soon as blood (or any other bodily fluid, for that matter) was shed, the water in the pool suddenly began to revolve into a sort of whirlpool around the Beyonder, sucking things inward. Serpents rose up in all locations. And the water itself began to glow red. All beings remaining in the pool heard a voice in their heads. Hurry, feisty ones. You have angered It. With their careful pace, they all make it to their target just as the water begins to spin. As each one arrives, in turn, the Beyonder teleports slightly to the side and raises his arm, seemingly vanishing them. Like Cole, they each awake in their worst nightmares. They are all safe for now. The beings remaining in the pool, on the other hand... They're time is running out. And one of them is not going to make it.

    Yes. Greetings, mighty one. Ver’s mind flashed back to a similar experience, standing before Dazh, the Açila Sun. He was a different person then. This time, he was certain. I have come to you in a call for aid. The denizens of Açila face a grave threat in the form of the Cloud. In a matter of days, the Cloud will Reboot the planet, and everyone on it will die. Unless you choose to help them. We would seek to evacuate the citizens of Açila before the cataclysm. To preserve the beauty of this world. But we cannot do it alone.

    Well Guys I thought this was worth posting here All this week, I've had this recurring feeling that I've been doing nothing each day. Every morning, I promise to myself that I'm finally going to be productive, but all I do is procrastinate, and every evening I feel like crem for not doing anything. So, today, I did something different. I decided not to watch any youtube all day, instead focusing on actually doing stuff. And it worked!!! I feel like I did so much today. I practiced my instrument, I finished a design summative project, I read my book, and I spent time with my family. So yeah. I'm just really satisfied right now. And I wanted to share it.

    The knife sinks into the beings flesh, and it shrieks. A couple more serpents begin to break off from attacking Alfonce and start approaching her.

    Welcome, traveled one. Complete your first task. The being lunges for her face.

    A body of darkness coalesces around the red lights, and suddenly, it lunges out of the water towards her in the form of a small serpent. Just as Encocs reaches the place where the Beyonder was, the man in white seems to suddenly teleport away, appearing a few feet to the side. You’ll have to do better than that. A swarm of the serpents descends on Enocs, tackling him to the ground. As he is pushed down underwater, he sees the reflection of the Beyonder, refracted through the water, chuckle. That leaves the Beyonder silent for a second. Cole gets the odd sense that the being is… considering. Huh. For the first time since his arrival, the Beyonder visibly moves. He stretches his arm out, towards Cole. And Cole vanishes. To everyone watching, at least. Cole blinks, and finds himself in a new environment. A new location. He wears different clothes; a familiar grey, tattered outfit, stained with paint and torn by wood chips. Sweat streams down his face. A feeling of heat surrounds him. He knows this place. And he begins to fear. For he is back in the ship fire.

    The dark serpents rush around her and Puzzle, and she feels a strength winding around her legs as they get past them to Alfonce. Uhh... ahem... you must complete the first task I have left for you. The tear slowly drips down her face, lingering on her chin for an instant. Then, like a crashing wave, it falls and hits the water. Washed away by the ripples. But not unnoticed. Where the water of flesh hit the surface, darkness begins to coalesce. Hungering. And a red light begins to glow.

    Umm... no. The cloak he placed in the water vanished. Their careful movement doesn't draw the attention of the creatures of darkness, most of which were converging on Alfonse, anyways. As they approached Alfonse, they rose up out of the water, forming more serpents. They are now roughly two thirds of the way to the Beyonder.

    He is able to lift the bow and knock the arrow without trouble. As soon as he releases it, however, the darkness in the water suddenly seems to snap to attention. The arrow flies over the pool, and where it passes, the darkness in the water solidifies and begins to rise, straining against the surface. The arrow meets its target, burying itself in the serpent's head, and the beast shrieks, rearing its head back. It's eyes flash back to red, and similar red lights begin to flash all throughout the darkness in the pool. They begin to take form, rising out of the water, and float towards Alfonce at an alarming speed. The Scone is successfully summoned, appearing in the water before him. Ooo... kay? You can just... leave it in the water for me. The voice sounds slightly uncomfortable.

    The "glowy man" didn't move. The voice, however, reappeared in Cole's head. A present? What have you for me, broken one? The voice seems a little... confused.

    The voice simply chuckles. This is your trial to complete, undead one. The serpent lets her, but she can note the darkness in the ripples is rapidly expanding across the entire pool as the ripples continue to spread from where she splashed into the water with the serpent. The darkness begins to shift, as if something large is trying to break through.
