  1. Peter said he thought it was in 3 weeks so around the 23rd, but could be later if he was off on the estimate.
  2. And here I have been scratching the numbers on the wall! Much more convenient.
  3. I think it will depend on how she finds out. She will likely start off upset either way but if Kaladin tells her himself she will likely forgive him for it. If she finds out on her own she may feel he was lying or keeping it a secret from her and could hold it against him.
  4. Fruitcake wouldn't work, its already too heavily invested already. Everyone knows there is only one actual fruitcake in the world, and it is a holy relic, passed on and gifted and regifted since the beginning of time. I would suggest a french baguette that is at least a week old.
  5. I wasn't suggesting she was a member, only that she knew of them. Envisagers makes little sense as they were said to be actively attempting to return sugebinders to the world, they would endanger themselves in attempts to hopefully awaken surgebinding abilities but they did not go out and put others in danger. If her mother had ties to the envisagers then she would have been thrilled about it, not seeking to kill her own daughter.
  6. and a follow up tweet from Peter.
  7. He did, when Lift was spying on them in their base of operations. What others have mentioned was when Lift was following him to the hideout.
  8. In mistborn we know that Vin snapped during her birth, its possible something similar happened with Shallan. It could have been just about anything traumatic. All we do know is that she was far enough along in the bond at a very early age to use her lightweaving and that this is what her mother noticed and what lead to her attempt on Shallans life. I do agree that it sounds like her mother had some sort of ties to one of the secret societies, with the skybreakers being the best candidate.
  9. @maxal The info came directly from Brandon, but I guess he could have been teasing me. WoR had 14 chapters including the prologue and Lifts interlude. It was all in order except for I believe ch 7, which was left out.
  10. I think Wyndle is making assumptions here that Nale is a bonded surgebinder and does not realize he holds a honorblade.
  11. Do we know if no spren are in Shinovar or if spren are just not visible there? Either way I would guess something is going on in shadesmar there.
  12. From Jasnah we learn that many orders of the Knights Radiant were not militant. I would imagine both Windrunners and Stonewards are which would explain why they would likely be at the forefront of any confrontation. This could explain a camaraderie between these orders. Their virtues seem compatible as well.
  13. My guess would be that their spren were still alive before they abandoned their blades, that the bonds may have been weakened by them deciding beforehand but it took an actual act to finally break them. Dalinar notices the glow fade from both blade and plate after they discard them.
  14. I finally broke down and tweeted Brandon and Peter if we will get sample chapters similar to what came out for WoR. This is the response I received. With 122 chapters, 14 interludes and the prologue and epilogue this means we could get somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 sample chapters ! No idea when they will begin releasing them but WoR sample chapters started up about 2 months before its release.
  15. Sometimes a mad beggar is just a mad beggar.
  16. This has always been my theory as well. Something I always found very interesting was in one of Dalinar's first flashbacks. The wife, Taffa, at one point exclaims "Three Gods, Heb". At first it seems most likely this could be a reference to Honor, Cultivation and Odium, but if it did I would find that very odd, as it feels many exclamations such as this tend to use more benevolent deities. I have felt perhaps this is reference to 3 powerful spren, maybe even the same spren tied to bondsmith.
  17. Kaladin comments that Szeth didn't bother to heal his shoulder. One thing I think we need to keep in mind is our definition of 'killed' when it comes to shardblades, I'm guessing when a shardblade kills a limb it is doing it more spiritually than physically. Limbs may not function but I am guessing they still have blood flow, otherwise it would begin to rot and need amputation. For a stomach wound if the injury didn't kill the entire organ i imagine it could cause complications but would not always be a death sentence. The best example I can think of is Hobber who still has his legs, though grey and useless, weeks after the attack.
  18. I am fairly sure that the flashbacks, at least the ones contained in their own chapters, are us seeing into the past and not someones memory of them. At least I hope this is the case. Peoples memory of the past would not be nearly as reliable.
  19. I have to disagree @maxal. We get several indicators that he did come to love his wife. As Dalinar has said, he is a man of extremes, I while i agree he always loved Navani I believe he would have put his whole heart into loving his wife and losing her would have devastated him.
  20. My idea on this was always a bit boring. I thought he felt overwhelming grief over losing someone he loved, No idea if it was just from an unexpected death or as some have suggested over guilt and asked the Nightwatcher to relieve him of that grief. So his boon would be losing the memories of his wife and his curse would be never being able to hear her name again. Like i said, very boring.
  21. Lift will eat both Odium and Cultivation, becoming the newest shard, Indigestion. (yes i made this joke already on a different post!)
  22. Where is all the Renarin love! Its about time we got a pov from him.
  23. ah, found it myself.
  24. The Horneater peaks are inside Jah Keved and we know the bloodlines have mixed in the past.
  25. I've seen this mentioned a few times but do we have a WoB this happened? I know in WoR Stormfather tells Dalinar I always took this as it was peoples belief that made him what he is today, similar to how Jasnah talks of anger spren at the start of the book.
