  1. Siannain looks like he’s about to hit Leonidas really hard (in a not necessarily legal way) and Leonidas looks like he’s trying to poke out an eye.
  2. No, they are not told if they failed. I didn't intend that to be a serious ability, more a dig at the Hand of the Light in the books. It's probably best to just remove that or take your suggestion of failure being inconclusive. I don't really know how most GMs actually do role distribution, so I just came up with this on the fly. This is the part I'm most likely to change. How it worked was the guaranteed roles were randomly distributed, and then the rest of the players rolled on this table. For example, if there are 16 players, a player would have a 1/4 chance of getting one of the 4 guaranteed rolls. If they do not get one of the guaranteed, then they have a 1/2 chance to get vanilla, 3/16 to get Lord Captain, and so on. That's a good point. (Although some of the spymaster, and all of the Lord captain can be blocked). I was unsure of whether to include roleblocking. The problem with roleblocking any of them (Inquisitor,Anointed,Lord Captain Commander) is that you have to make a new PM will everyone else. Unless, I suppose, you could have them stay in the PM, but they couldn't speak in it our vote. Edit: This is a very rough draft Edit2: I’m thinking of just tossing the elim roles (aes sedai & informant) altogether. The vote manipulation is very minor, as Jo mentioned, roleblock is not extremely helpful, and the Shadow Informant doesn’t do that much either.
  3. I mean, that could just be due to the fact that we couldn’t do much during cycle 0. You say that you will “note publicly now,” why now? Why not before?
  4. I was planning for only a majority being required for actions. Although full consensus is an interesting idea, I think that it would a) be too time consuming to achieve b) be really brutal on less active players and c) make it way to easy for the mafia to gum stuff up. Edit: The actions all require a positive vote to happen. If a vote fails, it just doesn’t happen.
  5. I am enjoying the current Hogwarts themed game, and I had an idea relating to the Group PMs (but no individual ones).MR## - Authority wherever the Light is.pdf
  6. I knew of the general idea of linguistic evidence, but I haven’t watched that specific youtube video.
  7. He joined in on the “through the lives cult.” His username is @Through the Living Hopper
  8. What's the point of this? Aren’t the only votes the +3/+2/+1/-1/-2/-3 in the gm pm and the prefect votes in the houses? Or am I misunderstanding something critical?
  9. Aradan is not using hemalurgy. He has a Malwish medallion that gives him allomantic iron.
  10. I agree. Hopper’s been active 10 minutes ago, but hasn’t responded recently. (Although I wouldn’t read too much into activity, as I too am the kind of person who leaves all my tabs open.)
  11. Feels like it'd be easier to make a chess.com account. I'm curious what Ravenclaw is up to.
  12. That sounds very unlikely, though I suppose it's possible.
  13. It has been. We've had productive discussions like: No, not really. I'm somewhat suspicious of @coco.pudding and @The Unknown Medallion, but nothing concrete. I think we should analyze all the stuff people said when we were confused about house selection and eliminated picks. We might find an inconsistency somewhere.
  14. My perspective is that, with the except of valuable roles, the villagers gain the most benefit from knowledge being freely available and discussed. The mafia is the (mostly) informed minority against us, the uninformed majority. If we can narrow that gap, that is how games are won.
  15. He’s from Yolen, and was at the Shattering, but didn’t take a shard. His plans are up in the air, unknown.
  16. I had assumed that the initial elims were told they were elims at the start and the "unless told otherwise" was if enough players had signed up to warrant more elims, as signups were still open when GM PMs were being sent out.
  17. No idea. I doubt that they would bunch up in one house, as it would be fairly pointless. I suspect they’re mostly spread out. Slytherin has TUM, Twinstorm, Comatose, Araris, Coco, Wahr, Doc, and me.
  18. How interesting. I might as well check it out. Leonidas pulled out his wand, it was a longer one, and followed McGonagall
  19. It’s probably just a prank, right? RIGHT?
  20. Leonidas watched the sorting. Most of them like children, he watched with a detached disinterest. Although, the mention of "Ill intentions" from the sorting hat gave him pause. He had never heard of the Sorting Hat spouting off anything like that. Perhaps... Dumbledore had given it a new routine? Regardless, it likely didn't matter. He watched as some of the last first years came up. "SLYTHERIN!" Interesting, a Leo of Slytherin. Leonidas nudged the student next to him, "and look, he even has a cape too. I had no idea I was so famous." (I left who he was talking to open, so anyone could join in.)
