  1. I just got my confirmation that it has shipped and will be here in the next two days
  2. My question is "were the Heralds corrupted before the Fall of Honour? Or did their corruption happen after?"
  3. Cultivation is to prepare and use something to gardening. Perhaps the boons and "curses" are really just only boons. The man who went for something ( I can't remember what), and who sees the world upside down, we learned about him off hand, and I can't remember where in the book…perhaps he got that so he could fight against wind runners…he would have a perfect view of them as right side up (upside down to us would be right side up to him). I think the curses are only viewed as such because people don't understand why she's doing it, or it seems too odd or random to them, but I definitely think there is a purpose behind it…I think she does it as her way of preparing humanity now that honour is gone.
  4. I always thought of it as a "damnation you own souls, we're done damning ours" moment when they threw down their plate and swords.
  5. Or perhaps its how a Shard views them? We have WoB that there are spren that are more honour/cultivation and what not…perhaps those higher orders are more closely attuned with Shards than with humanity...
  6. But wouldn't the forced confinement of spren be considered dishonourable? It might not be the cause, but I think it might have some merit..
  7. Added in Spoiler tags and now offer my apologies….
  8. But the Knights Radiant also used Fabrials, we have evidence of this in one of Dalinar's visions (the one where he is healed), so it wasn't just non-KR creating and using them….
  9. THERE BE SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!!!! I don't know if I'm the first to think this but...
  10. I always thought that the lashings altered an objects view of gravity on the cognitive level. Is someone or something is stuck to a wall it was because for them, the point of gravity was changed. My basis for this was when Szeth was using his lashings in the prologue, and had to reorient himself when lashing himself to various walls and ceilings...
  11. Just found this image on google, and it kind of reminded me of the shattered plains…mind you there'd be crem encrusting the sides and streets…but its more or less how I pictured them. http://www.zastavki.com/pictures/1366x768/2009/Photoshop_Desert_roof_017298_.jpg
  12. Perhaps they are an oracle type vision, we know Cultivation was good at them, and if there are cultivation spren associated with the KR, I suppose its fair to say she is too. Perhaps he is receiving visions of what needs to happen in order to prepare for the coming desolations and is sending them to Roshar.
  13. I was wondering, if I were a Duralumin misting, and I swallowed Duralumin and another metal...would it flare that metal as well, thus releasing its power causing a one time different-power burst, or would it do nothing? And secondly, do we know if its possible for an Allomancer to burn all of his metals at the same time?
  14. I don't think it references Jezrien....i see it more of a praise god kinda thins. "Please god don't let him be an idiot" is what I got out of that
  15. I also don't think that Stormlight is Invested in an individual in the same way for each order. My basis for this is that I don't think you see Jasnah or Shallan having their spheres go dark when they use their power, at least not as far as I have read...
  16. it seems to me she expected it to work, as though repeating the words, even in her mind, would somehow trigger the magic, much like it would have when she get her Edgedancer abilities
  17. the first time he said it yes....i get the impression its not her first time...
  18. thats what I took it as too...seems a bit too deep to be an independent thought of her own
  19. As I think Wyndle is a cultivationspren, it could be that with his bonding, its his job to cultivate his bonded partner to become what she needs to be. Syl on the other hand was drawn to Kaladins honour, being an honorspren. I think she has a small part of cultivation in her, allowing her to cultivate his honor to make him what he needs to be.
  20. Who says that the heraldic table needs to be split neatly down the middle, left or right and top to bottom, to represent honor and cultivation. I see them as a mixture of the two. Ex (not literal just an example) orders 1,3,5,7,9 being of honour and 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 being of cultivation or any other number of possible combinations.
  21. I doubt that she mistook the plants...from the sounds of it, they are pretty distinctive. What I want to know is, if one makes dyes from the Tears of Edgli, and an Awakener uses them as fuel for a Command...do they make the Command stronger?
  22. Well if someone Invested with the powers of a KR (or non KR like Szeth) can't use their powers against one another....that pretty much ensures some crappy fight scenes...so I doubt this is the case.
  23. I have been going over the forums, and have found multiple references to Shadesmar being difficult to access from Sel. Now, as far as I can tell, Sel is the only world that has had its Shards Splintered, so I was wondering if perhaps there was a correlation, that Shadesmar went all wonky in that area because the main source of power, Devotion and Dominion were killed and Splintered
  24. From what I've read, the titles soulstamping and essense points seem awfully hemalurgical to me.
  25. Do we know how long years are in WoK? Last I read, Brandon had RAFO'd that information as it would give too much away. A thousand days could cover a period of several years.
