Wheel of Time fans will be disappointed to learn that the final installment of the series, A Memory of Light, has been split. Again. Brandon Sanderson confirmed in a recent exclusive interview with 17th Shard that the final book has been split into another three volumes, bringing the total number in the series to sixteen. There has been a significant amount of speculation on the part of 17th Shard regarding the use of this number, and rumors have risen that The Wheel of Time may, indeed, have been incorporated into the Cosmere. He appeared excited about the decision in the interview, though he apologized for the delay and assured us that he hopes to have the series completed by early 2020. In the meantime, progress on his other works will also be slowed, though he promised us that the second Stormlight Archive book will most likely hit store shelves before 2015. That is, unfortunately, all the information we have at the moment, but we will keep you updated as more details become known.

That's not a problem! We'll be happy to show you. It's basically like writing a book or a fanfiction, except you're writing it with a bunch of other writers. It's actually really fun. And I've added you!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Save Vin go up after the RSS? Or if it didn't, wasn't it the current article when that was enabled? If that's the case, it could just be that the RSS feed doesn't pull news posts retroactively.

My husband can help with the destruction part. And are we really doing this? Are we really launching a plan to stop Shiro forever? I can't help but wonder if we should be talking about this on the forums, though; our donors have given us far too much to risk Shiro destroying the entire site in a fit of rage.

I'm Kerry, one of your friendly neighborhood admins (I won't spike you, but watch out for Will; he likes to use atium sporks in his hemalurgy experiments). Except nothing on Scadrial was ever Splintered. Both Shards were whole and held, and we don't yet know enough about how being whole vs. splintered affects the magic.

Ruin couldn't destroy Preservation. Unless that has to do with Preservation's nature. And it's not just a journal thing. These visions, re-emergence of old powers, etc, are all happening right as the True Desolation is approaching. I don't think that's a coincidence, and if you subscribe to the theory that Aona's Splinters are running the Dor on auto-pilot now, this isn't consistent with auto-pilot mode. Honor is choosing people for a reason, at the time they need to be chosen. I think there's more to it than we've been looking at so far.

I know, but I felt like using them. Unless there's something preventing Shards on the same planet from Splintering each other. But something's going on with Honor - whether it's still a Shard or a bunch of Splinters at this point - that hasn't been going on before. Which makes me wonder if maybe Honor isn't still around. A fakeout, perhaps?
