Sage started telling a story. (Spoilered because its long and slightly dark):
Sage took a deep breath when he finished, then smiled.
"Wow, it was so nice to let all of that out! You were such a good audience, everyone!"
I hate Largos, Twig thought. However, it would have to do. She flew the ship up high then deactivated everything except the acclivity ring. No reason to waste power. She made sure she could turn all the systems on quickly, though.
Twig sprinted for the ship that hadn't taken off yet, hoping to get there since Silver was doing something with Aria's ship. She was a good runner. She might make it...
Twig approaches the ships, her feet burning, to see Silver and Aria are already there. Silver is faced with a wall of fire, so Twig tries going around, if she can do that.
Shallan and Raoden foolishly wrote some horrendous Paw Patrol creepypastas and safely dropkicked her happy Niv-Mizzet because sentient MeeM sniffed rotten fish drunkenly.
Twig remembers her book reading (because she didn't learn anything like that in school) and leans back onto the quicksand, trying to spread her weight evenly. She slowly brought her legs above the surface of the quicksand, and used very small movements to push her body slowly back to "shore."
