  1. "I don't want you dead." Elan says, hugging Aventine tight. The guilt still hurts him inside. "I... I'll try and help."
  2. "You'll die no matter what." Elan groans. "There isn't anything you can do."
  3. Elan took a sharp, short intake of breath, stiffening. "Yes."
  4. "I sold them. I let him HAVE THOSE LIVES, let him DESTROY ENTIRE UNIVERSES just to try and be safe, to get him to leave me alone, I should have just died, I used INNOCENT PEOPLE as BARGAINING CHIPS." "I don't know... in the clinic somewhere... demon... formal... accented... oily black..." Elan says, not looking Pic in the eyes.
  5. Elan's eyes fill with fear. And pain. I deserve this. He should just kill me. "A thing. From somewhere else. The Realm of Infinity. It was connected to my original world I accidentally set him free I thought he was good he got the medallion he killed everyone destroyed everything it all joined his realm everywhere I go he follows and destroys I thought I would be safe here I'm not he's come you're all going to die and it's all my fault."
  6. Elan wriggles away, his insides burning with guilt. He doesn't deserve love, especially not at a time like now. "Yes. No. I don't know."
  7. Elan throws the covers off of himself. "I said WHY COULDN'T HE JUST KILL YOU!" He lets out a moan and tries to pull his blankets back over himself. "Just leave me alone..."
  8. "Why couldn't he just kill you... why..." Elan's voice was muffled, wreathed in guilt and pain. He was still crying.
  9. Elan huddled in his bed, hearing the voices outside. Don't come in. Please don't come in. He thought to himself. Confrontation was the worst part. He hid under his blankets, wrapping himself up. The door had been left unlocked in the hurry, so the group was able to enter with ease. @Spark of Hope @Cash67 @Exotic Almond
  10. The Being growled, a horrible, metallic screech. "You, little one, will DIE SOMEDAY." He hissed, his accented voice harsh and poignant. At that point the entire floor was made of Essence and Tal was nearly completely enveloped.
  11. The room around The Being began to turn into Essence, melting into him. He didn't grow, however, it just flowed in and seemed to disappear.
  12. The Being hesitated, only for a second. An energy suddenly flowed through him and he began, very very very slowly, to eat away at the soul's block. All shall return.
  13. Immediately a burst of the oily stuff, Essence of Infinity it is called, came out of The Being's face, enveloping Trevor. It began infecting him, attempting to consume his matter and turn it into more Essence.
  14. As soon as everyone leaves, Tal and The Being are alone. "Very well. So be it." He says. He lashes out with his arm, not needing to move the rest of his body as it stretches out and wraps around his arm. The oily black liquid that forms The Being's arm, colder than ice, spreads out over Tal's arm in an iron hold. "Your soul will be the catalyst." @Edema Rue
  15. "Oh, I am sure he is well on his own. Elan is quite resilient."
  16. "I do not. I have not seen him in much time, since we fled that universe."
  17. "Where I come from. Your friend Elan, it is a dimension connected to his universe. We have met."
  18. “You wish to speak with me, Tal the Sad Man?” The Being says. He’s gotten restless, just a little.
  19. Weaver and Clay stand there as everyone wastes time. "Wow. How productive."
  20. "And we're slowly approaching a cliff where we'll all fall and die before we know it!" Clay says way too bubbly.
  21. "Follow. I believe she will be near the gate." The Being says, leading the way. @Exotic Almond
