  1. The building she enters is dark and dusty. There is a furnace in the corner, which is steaming as if it had just been put out. There are stairs off to the left.
  2. Alderic purses his lips. This boy… He thinks to himself.
  3. Far, far down the alley she comes just soon enough to see a limp pair of booted feet dragging into a dark doorway.
  4. Lukas nodded, running around the corner. A few seconds passed. Then a few minutes. Then a scream came from around the corner, it sounded muffled and far away.
  5. Alderic nods slowly. “Well… don’t press it again. That’s not how this runs.”
  6. The mosquitoes are vicious and quickly there are hundreds of itchy swelling bumps on Roy’s skin.
  7. The figure glanced back, then turned and started sprinting away. It was only three or four feet tall, definitely a child.
  8. The Gambler nodded. He felt a drop of sweat form on his forehead and didn’t know why. This girl was scaring him beyond belief, and that NEVER happened. He took another swig out of his bottle, hoping the fear would go away. It didn’t. Allergic walks in, a stern expression on his face. “Who did that.” He said, voice deep and resounding.
  9. Lukas smiled, glancing about. This was his home planet, Ignellior. The ground was plain old dirt and black grass covered everything that wasn’t the road. The buildings were wood and built like those in a small medieval village. Wooden barrels lined some of them, and there were many dark alleys. Just then, Lukas spotted a small figure run down one of the dark corridors between buildings. ”Th-th-there!” He shouted, pointing.
  10. Lukas looked around, though he couldn’t see as well from his lower vantage point.
  11. “H-he has d-dark hair. He’s p-p-probably like five now? L-l-last time I saw him he had a b-broken leg?”
  12. The Gambler slid back, just slightly, away from the table. He slides three chips to the center of the table, each embossed with a silver goblet of glowing spheres.
  13. Lukas nodded, following her as they entered the door.
  14. "Y-y-y-yeah." Lukas said. "B-b-but it's d-dangerous?"
  15. "T-t-twin taken. Y-younger brother forgotten. I d-d-don't know if he lived. W-w-we had to run and h-he couldn't s-s-s-so we had to l-leave-" Lukas starts trembling.
  16. Lukas nodded. "I h-h-had three, I th-th-think. A young-ger one, a t-t-t-twin, and my o-older brother. O-older one died t-trying to hide us f-from her. I d-d-don't know where other t-two went."
  17. The massive Elan stumbles back and shatters into dirt clods. Elan falls among them, performing a backflip before landing on his feet in the rubble, weapon held at the ready. With a wave of his hand thousands of mosquitoes appear, starting to attack Roy and Arranis viciously. Gladly Elan had worn 1,000,000% deet bug spray as a precaution to this battle.
  18. The Gambler grumbles angrily. He's only won ONE GAME the WHOLE. STINKING. GAMES. He hands over the brass, a dark look on his face. The Gambler looks up. "Sit down. Let's play." He says. Something seems... off, about this person, but he could probably still beat her.
  19. "I-I-I d-don't know. I-I-I just st-st-started having it after th-th-they killed m-my br-brother. H-h-he was only th-thirteen."
  20. Lukas shuddered. "Th-th-that's bad. I-I-I'm sorry."
