  1. Edgar felt her relax and smiled. It was working. And…well he enjoyed holding her like this. “I love you.”
  2. He held her firmly. He didn’t think anything would happen, but best to be sure. And maybe it would comfort her.
  3. Edgar helped her sit down again, then leaned against her, his arm around her waist.
  4. Edgar pulled her back carefully. He hadn’t been afraid of the height, but with Jenny so close to the edge…well, now he was.
  5. “You’re right! She probably has his lunch.”
  6. “I don’t think it can yet. It’ll learn though.”
  7. Edgar went with her, glad she seemed to be handling her fear. He smiled, looking at the baby bird. It was cute.
  8. He leaned her face up towards him, then kissed her. Then he pointed her towards the nest.
  9. “There’s a nest right on the edge, actually. It looks like a falcon’s. There’s even a chick!” He hugged her tightly.
  10. Edgar extricated his hand from her grasp, wrapping it around her waist and pulling her against him. “Sorry it’s so scary for you though. Can I do anything to help?”
  11. He leaned against her. “It’s beautiful…you can see the whole city from here. Though it doesn’t compare to how you look.”
  12. “Ok.” He made his way towards a less crowded area, right up next to one of the enormous windows. He stared out it, then sat down, helping Jenny down.
  13. Edgar led her through the throng of people. “Where do you want to go? By a window? As far away from a window as possible?”
  14. He squeezed her hand gently. “Do you want to go back down?” he whispered so only she could here. He looked at her. The city was beautiful from up the arch, but nothing compared to her.
  15. The elevator dinged, the doors opening. Edgar gasped as he saw the view. They were so high up! He glanced over at Jenny to see how she was handling it.
  16. He smiled back, though there was a sadness to it. How had she gotten the kid’s trust? He’d have to ask her later.
  17. Kind of, I’m not very good at it and I take my own routes, but I like to play through games fast. TPBM should be doing schoolwork.
  18. Edgar smiled, glad they were getting along well. He wished he and Terrance could do the same, but the boy was just so frustrating! He sighed, taking Jenny’s hand.
  19. Addison closed her eyes, still just wandering through the Clinic. Things were better when she couldn’t see. She could be standing at the edge of a cliff…right on the brink. She took another step and was disappointed. There was no cliff. She took another step, hoping for a cliff again.
  20. Addison wandered through the clinic. She wasn’t sure where she was going, but she didn’t see anyone. That was good, no one to hurt. She’d make sure she never hurt anyone again.
  21. “I guess.” She’d never had much time for luxuries like it.
