  1. I kind of think by this point, Brandon will probably just publish it. The Way of Kings had barely been out for a few months when this interview went down. Brandon's fanbase has grown a lot since then, and knowledge about the cosmere has become more widespread. As far as I know, he's never mentioned publishing it on his website since.
  2. There is a meta-plot that will be resolved one day. Third Mistborn trilogy will have more, but it's not going to be that series. Brandon's got multiple books planned. He likes to call them, "conflux" books. He'd also like to do a parallel novel to the first Mistborn trilogy showing what Hoid was up to.
  3. Good to have you here, man! Elantris has probably my favorite premise of Brandon's books, I liked the idea of the fallen city of the gods. I hope to see you around the forums
  4. I don't think that anyone is going to be Soulcasting amethyst. I'm pretty sure that the restriction against Soulcasting gems there is in real life just to keep the supply of gems low. Even if amethyst is quartz, it's the color that really matters in Soulcasting. So they can probably Soulcast any type of quartz aside from those that are Polestones.
  5. Oh no, I totally understand. It's Brandon's property after all.
  6. A-okay, Peter. I'd been told that it was alright, but I'll be sure not to!
  7. Glad to have you here, Windborne Sword! You're in for a real treat with Emperor's Soul, it's tied with TWoK as my favorite thing Brandon's written. Hope to see you around!
  8. I'd like to announce that all the epigraphs from WoA and HoA are now in their own pretty tables on the wiki. And I've added anchors to all the epigraphs from every book that has them, so now when you click on a citation for one of them, it doesn't simply dump you on the page full of epigraphs, but rather brings you to the actual epigraph that you wanted to see. Hopefully this will help someone out!
  9. I'm fine with you disagreeing, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't act like I'm being unreasonable in my belief here. While you didn't say so in so many words, I think you certainly insinuated it with your, "Champions of Reasonable Interpretation," comment. I'm a tad tired at the moment, so maybe I'm overreacting, but there really wasn't any need for that, even in jest. Thanks.
  10. All of the transcripts to the ones that I own are already locked. I can't do anything about the rest of them. They'll be going into the interview database soon, and I'm running through everything I upload to check for accuracy.
  11. It's from the Liar of Partinel sample chapters.
  12. That straight to Roshar bit is not explicitly confirmed. We know that they arrived on Roshar together before Odium, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had been somewhere else first, with the whole Tranquiline Halls mythos going on.
  13. I personally don't think it's focused on it entirely. What we know basically is that Vasher and Vivenna will be dealing with Yesteel, who has been confirmed to have the knowledge of how to create Type IV entities. So, it will certainly be a part of the story, but I wouldn't say the focus.
  14. Good to have you on the forums, Warren, hope to see you around!
  15. How awkward it must be for the guy who has to oversee that... Seriously though, they totally have to mate. Parshmen are not immortal, so they have to come from somewhere.
  16. I'm not sure that it would be so easy as to simply change sheaths. I'm pretty sure Nightblood is tied to the one he has right now, it can block his powers somehow. On the other hand, Yesteel knows how to make Type IV Biochromatic entities, so I wouldn't put it past Hoid to have an Awakened sword.
  17. Dalinar had a parshman for a nurse, which traditionally would probably be female.
  18. The Parshendi do seem to recognize at least what Kaladin is doing. When he is infused with Stormlight, they shout, "Neshua Kadal," which I think probably means Knight Radiant, or Surgebinder or something along those lines. They also cease attacking him when they say this. This first one comes immediately after Kaladin pulls the whole volley of arrows into a shield with a reverse lashing. And then later I'd love to know what rhythem these Parshendi are chanting to...
  19. If I'm remembering right, Shardblades are near weightless. Honestly, even a dude would have to be seriously ripped to even hold a six foot long sword made of metal, let alone fight using it.
  20. I took care of the topic move. Welcome to the forums, Looter!
  21. Either that or the whole region is still referred to as Sela Tales, even after the collapse of that kingdom.
  22. That's a good point Azul. I suppose it could just be that he went to Sela Tales but didn't make it to the Purelake, although I certainly interpreted the original quote as him remembering the Purelake.
  23. Okay, this is a really simple little theory, but I noticed an interesting magic system connection. I think that zinc Feruchemy and Taravangian's curse and boon from the Old Magic work in the same way. They are described very similarly from what we've seen from Mistborn and WoR readings. Bolding is mine So, this is a pretty clear parallel in my opinion that shows that the slowness of their minds is very similar, and I'd be willing to be the reverse is true as well. While these are clearly different magic systems from different sources, I think this is likely one example of different magics doing things in the same way.
  24. Here are all of the readings from Words of Radiance that have been released so far. This list is going to be updated when more come out. Also, the spelling of any new names are merely approximations, not intended to be completely accurate. Jasnah Prologue Kaladin - Chapter 2 Dalinar's Vision Shallan Flashback 1 - Red Carpet, Once White Eshonai Interlude Rysn's Interlude Ym Interlude Lift Interlude Taravangian Interlude Enjoy!
  25. I would like to announce that I have returned from the savage and wild isle of Nebrask! I didn't make it around the Tower, but I had to dodge a few escaped wild chalklings. It's good to be back
