  1. I'm at work and don't have my book, but the quote regarding the Parshendi being able to grow entire suit from a gauntlet definitely implies Cultivation. As for the blades, there was never any mention of it growing and the way that it can only be handed to someone (from the current owner) or retrieved after death seems to jive with it not being from Cultivation.
  2. I do plan on transcribing it, but was derailed by husbandly duties last weekend. I probably won't be able to get to it until this weekend. If someone is interested in doing it before then, PM and let me know. I was also worried about copyright, but know that the folks over at Theoryland have been known to transcribe the audio chapters when they're released.
  3. Hey Folks, Long time lurker here who decided to take the plunge to give you all a special treat. I went to Brandon's reading in Markham today (just north of Toronto) and he read the wind scene from AMoL, but also surprised us with a reading from a new Stormlight chapter. The Q&A portion was a little light, but the chapter was worth five thousand golden question (in my opinion). I did happen to record it and plan on transcribing it, but have posted it below. Fair warning, there are crying babies and random noises from a gentleman leaning on a keyboard. Obvious warning, there are spoilers involved:
  4. So this may or may not impact the theory the Parshendi are the Voidbringers, but Brandon read a chapter from Stormlight 2 today that was from the POV of a Parshendi character. Her inner monologue was definitely ripe with honourable thoughts about the war, but it was also revealed that Parshendi have a caste system that changes their physical/mental characteristics (he referred to them as forms) and that the forms are controlled by which type of Spren an individual bonds with. He also revealed that the Parshmen are basically a slave casted Parshend; they are Parshendi that are not bonded to a Spren.
  5. Hi All, Long time lurker, first time posting. I don't really know what to say in my intro, but did want to say that I am currently at Brandon's signing in Toronto in which he read a Parshendi chapter from Stormlight 2. I also recorded the Q&A session and wanted to know if you would like a transcription to be posted.
