Nah, it's not just you. We think it has something to do with the site crashing a few days ago. It should be fixed before too long.
-
I think it's worth bearing in mind that we're not entirely sure how long it took Preservation and Ruin to forge their pact. It could have been decided before Leras was changed too much.
-
White Sand, Aether of Night I think, Mistborn Prime, Final Empire Prime. Mythwalker (kinda like Warbreaker) is posted on his site. He will not send anyone Dragonsteel.
-
Mistwraiths have a totally fine Cognitive aspect, there is simply a blockage that doesn't allow it to work well in the Physical Realm. Brandon likened it to someone with a mental disability.

The name of the girl in the interlude that Brandon read.

The Recipient of the Letter is a Dragon!
Windrunner replied to GreyPilgrim's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'm pretty sure someone posted this idea elsewhere, but I kind of like it. Hoid laid a false trail for the members of the Seventeenth Shard chasing him, it would be nice if once they arrive at the end of the trail they come upon the letter. Although if Hoid's false trail amounted to "somewhere in the Purelake" it's probably a lot more effective at keeping them occupied. -
Oh no, it's right here. Brandon's not yet done with it. The only things Brandon emails are some early unpublished works.

That's very true. I'm hoping we'll see a recovery to some of Kal's wit now that he's finally managed to save some people. It's tough to beat the Wax/Wayne dynamic though. If you've listened or read any of the Shadows of Self (Alloy sequel) we've gotten, Wayne is even funnier so far. He has a bit of a bias against butlers now...

*cough*Way of Kings is better*cough* Just kidding, it's great to have you here! Is Warbreaker the last cosmere book you have to read?
-
The answer to your question is yes and no. So, as I see it, both Shards are still in there, but they've now become somewhat attached.
-
Also, directly related.
-
I think that there's not any elasticity to Ironpulls, so there's not really any advantage to try to use a slingshot type of approach.
-
Windspren and honorspren are related, but not the same thing. Honestly, I'm kind of confused about what this topic is discussing. Personally, I haven't seen too much in the way of people assuming that Syl is or used to be a windspren. Perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention to the discussions of late.

That's very interesting. I liked best listening to Lightsong try to pick apart his own theology and Llarimar's patient explanations as to why Lightsong was wrong.
-
Not any other officially endorsed places, as far as I know. Badali makes some cool jewelry, but it's all Elantris and Mistborn related. My personal theory is that it's gonna be integrated with Brandon's new store when the redesigned website is launched in September. That's just speculation though.

Good to have you here, I can't wait to hear your ideas! Emperor's Soul is excellent, you're in for a real treat. Which Brandon book do you like best?

Lerasium and Atium Theory (potential Mistborn spoilers)
Windrunner replied to Shardlet's topic in Mistborn
There's also this. -
I'm completely out of my depth here, but the distances are not that huge, although I'm not sure what you consider to be "large". All the Shardworlds are in the same compact dwarf galaxy.

I know he's not well understood, I was saying he's not like what is usually seen because he's not one of the three more common types. Vasher himself thinks that the process he and Shashara used should have just Awakened metal, no different from a rug or some other more mundane material. This isn't really evidence one way or the other, but Yesteel, the guy Vasher and Vivenna are after, knows how to create more swords like Nightblood.

Hey, and welcome to 17th Shard! Huh, a Warbreaker fan? I think this is the first time that I've seen anyone list Warbreaker as their favorite of Brandon's. What did you like best about it? And you're in good company, I'm about ready to explode waiting for Words of Radiance as well.

Not spikeways as the one Kel used, at least. Those metal pieces weren't fastened to anything, so a lurcher would just end up hurting himself. Probably a lurcher could just get a pair of rollerblades and pull on metals up ahead while wearing those Or a set of bars overhead might work, in a kind of Spiderman-esque swinging style.

Glad to have you here Jay! Way of Kings is my favorite Sanderson as well. Hope to see you around

Kalladin wood weapon against a Sharplate or Clasmfiend ?
Windrunner replied to Natans's topic in Stormlight Archive
This I agree with wholeheartedly. Very well put. I've got a few thoughts on Radiants, but these are mostly pure speculation. I think that every Radiant had their own personal Blade and set of Plate. The fact that they are each unique suggests to me that each was built with a specific person in mind. I also don't follow the belief that only some of the Radiants had Blades or Plate, simply due to the fact that they are considered knights, and I don't think that anyone refers to someone as a knight if they don't have a sword and a set of armor. I don't follow the "1000" knights interpretation for the reasons I outlined above. The math simply doesn't work out. If you're looking for a number that's related to ten, why not ten thousand? Lots of things are divisible by ten. And anyway, I'm not convinced that the number of Radiants needs to be a multiple of ten. The total number of Ideals in the Immortal Words is likely 41 and that's not related to ten even a little bit. As for the way Harkaylain (the name we believe refers to the male Radiant in Dalinar's vision) spoke of Dalinar joining the Radiants, I think it would be useful to have the direct quote here. Personally, I don't think the number of Radiants is limited by sets of Plates and Blades, but by spren. Harkaylain cannot promise Dalinar a position in the orders, because the decision to bond with him rests in the hands of the spren. If the number of Radiants is limited by anything, I believe it to be by the number of spren available to bond. All right, that's enough uniformed speculation for now. Hopefully this was somewhat interesting, and I'd love to hear from someone who agrees, or better yet, disagrees with my interpretations. -
Much as he did with Infinity Blade: Awakening, Brandon's snuck up on us again with another surprise novella set in the Infinity Blade world. It's called Infinity Blade: Redemption, and it's available for preorder today! The ebook itself will be released on September 3rd. Brandon wrote this as a side project, to refresh himself in between larger works. Brandon posted the press release on his site today. If you didn't read the last one, know that the Infinity Blade books have all the hallmarks of Brandon's writing, interesting settings, cool magic, and plenty of interesting plot twists for their short length. The first one is well worth a read, and I'm sure this one will be too. Hopefully, this means there is a third game in the works as well, which is good if you've played the other two, considering the massive cliffhanger at the end of the second game. If this is the first you've heard of Awakening, you can pick up an ebook copy here. I can attest to the fact that it's well worth a read, despite not being related to the cosmere or any of Brandon's other worlds. If you're a hardcore collector of Brandon's works, keep out an eye for any physical copies of this book. Infinity Blade: Awakening was a con exclusive a few years back, and now it's pretty tough to get ahold of.

Yeah, Splintered is the right term. And no, it happened centuries before Elantris was set. Personally I think even before the Aonic people discovered Elantris.
