      yes Sabaton is very good (though i have been listening to more rap than metal recently). Me personally, my favorite albums are Coat of Arms, Heroes, and The Marshall Mathers LP2- wait that’s not a Sabaton album

    I finished the Chosen by Chaim Potok today…

    That was a very good book. I highly recommend it.

    It’s one of those books that, even before I finished it, I couldn’t wait to read it again.

    It’s one of those books that makes me want to learn, to know, to become. To grow wings just so I can fly to close to the sun. It made me want to live.

    It also hurt. Because, like Babel or The Night Circus or Symphony for the City of the Dead or a dozen other beautiful books, it reminded me of the way the world could be. And that makes the world that is hurt so much worse. It is so endlessly frustrating to look up to the stars and find yourself unable to reach them because of a dozen heavy chains that you’ve never controlled.

    Anyway.

    If anyone’s read it and has recommendations for similar books (not necessarily the same topics, but the same feel, the same vibe, the same power) I’d love the hear them :)

    Struggling a bit, but alive.

    The shard is quiet. That’s a lil sad, it used to always be so alive.

    Connor grins and snaps out a “thanks” before spinning to the side and slamming the brand into Tondon’s neck, right at the base of his skull. (he still had the dagger in his hand, he just stabbed Tondon and then dragged it out of his arm when he spun, carving a gash in his arm) as he’s behind Tondon, he spins the dagger in his hand so it’s reversed (like the blade is near his pinky as opposed to his thumb) and whirls again, trying to drive it into Tondon’s back where his heart should be
