    Unfortunately for both of them, the Beast opened its mouth to chomp on him at that exact moment. Lacket's hand is somewhat mangled, but because of the punch the beast has had several teeth knocked out and is left stunned. One of the teeth has come out and is stuck in Lacket's hand. Doug follows, but takes his time.

    Most of the fighting appears to be on the roof. There's a moment where one of the huge Beasts turns around the building, but it appears to be blind and doesn't notice Sharp. However, Doug Nilkingar does see him and begins shooting coins from his perch on a crumbling balcony.

    As he approaches, the screaming and roaring get louder.

    Dug Nora is doing a lot of the screaming. She's never been in a fight in her life. Doug Nilkingar is shooting coins at everything that moves. A huge Beast rushes towards him.

    Finished The Secret History by Donna Tartt last night!

    It was ugly and raw and yet somehow polished and sterile and calculated and artistic and completely unlike anything I've ever read. 

    I enjoyed it? I think??? I liked it a lot. 

    but I also hated it.

    It made me think and it was uncomfortable but it was also awesome and I'm very glad I read it.

    And I'm suddenly filled with a desire to learn Greek. 

    And I'm also afraid of my friends now.

    But now I get to start Wingfeather finally so hooray for that!!

    Idaho's good too. Speaking of which, apparently you guys get a two week fall break for spud harvest?? In the 21st century?? Lucky!! I will be there and I will find anyone who is willing to find me (looking at you Elan @Ancient Elantrian) but I'll also be with my mom and a lady and her granddaughter from my ward, who are all great people, but there may be some strange conversations. I'll probably be wearing my purple "ask me about the cosmere" shirt unless I get more sando shirts soon.

    Dug Nora blinks from inside the cornucopia. Realizing she's in the middle of what will soon be a terrible battlefield, without metals, she starts to climb out. Doug Nilkingar moves slowly towards the center, hoping to arrive once everyone is distracted and fighting.
