    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

Jan came around and unlocked the door. He pulled December out, and then closed the door again. Through the window, she could see them both enter the palace. "He'll come get us if he needs us . . ." September explained quietly. "Yeah, It'll just be October or something, the rules aren't going to change," March said casually. "Thank you for you confidence brother!" October said from across the room.

March sighed and ran a hand over his face, "He just MURDERED our 'CENTREL AUTHORITY', as you put it. So I'm going to kill him, because that's what Father would have wanted. This is not complicated!" The carriage pulled around the palace, arriving a in a smaller back-area that looked like it was used for food delivery and that sort of thing. It rolled to a stop and there was a few moments of silence were nothing happened.

"That's not how the law works kiddo, he just murdered someone." September nodded, not sure what else to do. The carriage had now reached the outskirts of Jouken.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

"I-I'm sure it'll be fine . . ." December glanced out of the window, "We'll be there soon, do you know what the plan is?" "Not really, I think he wants to use you to catch February off-guard, but that's all." She nodded, "I expected as much." March just stared at him. "I'm not sadistic or anything!! He needs to die because that's the law, period. I don't need a spectacle, I just need justice to be carried out."

      Spoiler

      I'm sorry I

I'm trying to be a good person but

have you ever had a conversation with someone that was so ridiculous that you had a hard time keeping from laughing at them

      like genuinely

I feel bad but what were we even talking about homie

I just can't take this teacher seriously 😭 his conversation patterns are so intensely strange to me

      Anyway back on topic

it'll be fine I'll just pack a lunch and eat it at a different time . . ..  but the whole point of the schedule change is to have long lunches before the holiday so we can hang out with our friends more . . . and I just won't be able to see them at all at lunch now . . . which is fine.

Basically I leave for half a day to go to a college class, and usually it fits in right before the normal, shorter lunch. But the longer lunch is set to happen right in the middle of when I'm gone. so.

      oh well

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

March tried to stop his approach but was too slow. June screamed loudly as a sickening crack echoed through the room. August winced from where he was sitting. "How is that better?" March asked, "I still have to kill him." December didn't really seem to notice. He nodded thoughtfully, "That makes sense, as they're sort of like dreams . . . My father won't be happy it's not a quicker process though."

"That's not very convenient," December said flatly. September nodded, "I see, and you have to be asleep?"

"Cause he just murdered my dad," March said, gesturing at June with his thumb. "What's not clicking?"

"Um . ." He said after a few minutes, "He asked me to--I'm supposed to ask you how the vision thing works, April." December glanced at her, clearly curious about how it works as well. "You think I care about the floor idiot?!" March yelled. "It is true that we've cleaned blood off of it many times," February said a little too lightly. "It won't stain, no need to worry--it is nice marble though, isn't it?"

  12. "Sounds good!" Nera stood, dusting her hands off. She climbed into the blue wagon and finished unloading the last of the cargo, this time being far more careful of traps. After about half an hour they were able to get everything of importance moved to the red wagon, including Master Igenes's things which Nera felt guilty about leaving behind. "Dint, you were the one with the healer stuff right? Will you help Heartache?" Nera asked.

February watches, and nods when he's done, "Thank you." "I'm glad you're all being so cooperative! Hopefully we can resolve this so that it all ends quickly," February said kindly. "It's been a long day after all, who'd have thought things would turn out like this . . ." March glanced at everyone, "I'll get it done with then." February nodded, "Yes, best to do it first." March turned to approach June and July, who were still standing near the doors, blocked by soldiers. July looked like he was in a bit of a daze, and June was still gripping his arm. Less then gently, March grabbed July and pushed him towards February, ripping him out of June's grip. He let February pull him away from the doors, he still seemed shaken up. "What are you doing?!" June asked, "Don't hurt him." "We're not going to hurt him June," February explained, hands still on June, "He's not that one who committed murder." June paled. He really had no way out of this. March raised his already drawn sword. "W-wait you can't do anything to me without challenging me to a duel first! Remember the contract?" "I think the murder of my Father is challenge enough," March said with a cold gleam in his eyes. February didn't contest him. ------------------------ January had been pacing, periodically checking the sky through window. "We ought to go back now, they've probably finished fighting among themselves . . . I want to catch them as they start going separate ways," He said, clearly anxious about the whole thing. December, still tied up, just shrugged. After a few more minutes of debating with himself, he finally decided to go. Jan untied December before they left the house so the staff wouldn't be suspicious, and she didn't use the opportunity to try and run. She didn't seem particularly worried in the first place. January lead them to his own carriage instead of Decembers, which had been hidden in a nearby grove. The new September was waiting for them there as well as a hooded coachman loyal to January. He shoved April and December inside before helping his son climb in. Then he muttered something about fresh air and nerves before locking the door on them and joining the coachman outside. September settled on the seat opposite December and April, and quietly started playing with the hem of his tunic.

  22. Jerehlu will be going with the second group that plans on coming from behind. The bandits seem fairly loyal, and if not loyal then content enough with his decisions. Most of them seem to be glad someone else is in charge and making the tough calls. There isn't any outright dislike of him.
