"I don't know if I'll be much use to you in there," He said matter-of-factly, "I don't have the halls memorized yet." --- "Listen, I haven't killed her yet, alright?" January said, his voice going hard. "She got away from me, though I don't want to admit it." "Yet?" August asked, "Good grief Jan, you really are doing this." "As if you're one to talk Ranyua," January spat at him. August ignored the comment, "You're not in the clear just because you didn't kill her, idiot, she'll still find her way to February and tell him you held her captive--whatever hostage advantage you though you had is gone now." "Both of you are going to find yourselves in a lockup after we find December," October grumbled. "What direction did she go in?" January shrugged, "I didn't see, she ran when my back was turned."

"Automaton soldiers is new . . ." He grunted, "Though at this point I've fought stranger. Do they have any weaknesses? The similar mechanisms where I come from were all very fragile."
-
"Not die," September said quickly, "Which would involve running but . . . I suppose if we had your brothers with us, we'd have a higher chance of getting away un-scathed." ----------- "Maybe," August replied, clearly only saying it to keep her hopes up. "Or maybe," October said darkly, "Someone's going on a murder spree and they don't want us to know where they hid the body." "W-what? That's ridiculous October, why would I do something like that at a time like this! And you know I'm smarter then to kill December first, if February found out . . ." "--It'd ruin everything for you, I know." October grinned, "Shall I go tell him right now?"

Sharlin watched after it, bewildered. Her gun hadn't really done anything, and yet it was leaving. Now that's scudding luck if I've ever seen it, Sharp said. She couldn't see him, as always, but she could hear a grin in his voice. "Now we just have to survive the tsunami . . ." Sharlin waved down at Squall, she couldn't seen Winter any longer, hopefully he was nearby. It wasn't super deep, but it was long, going from his shoulder to his middle back. After following through on the move, clearly satisfied he'd finally gotten a hit in, February raised the blade to strike again. February faltered, seeing the bomb, and dove out of the way as it exploded. It shook the whole room, tapestries on the walls fell and the chandelier in the ceiling rattle loudly, bits of glass breaking off and falling to the floor. Groaning, he pulled himself up into a sitting position. He hadn't gotten out of the way soon enough to completely avoid the blast, and was left with minor burns on his arms, several bruises, and a few cuts from the glass. September nodded, stepping fully out of the carriage. "Should I wait here then?" ----- January looked even worse, "Really, there's no reason you'd need to--" "There's no reason for to not look," October corrected. He shoved January aside, and stomped up to the window, opening it and looking down. He nodded to himself, unsurprised. "Where did December really go?"
-
"No, I can get out of a carriage myself," He said flatly, moving to do so after she had stepped out. "Do we have a plan from here, other then running?" --- January glanced at her uneasily. "It does seem unlikely that December would do that sort of thing," October finally admitted. He took a step towards the window, but January blocked his way. "Now Jan, if she really did jump then her body should be visible on the street below, shouldn't it?" January paled, "Yes of course, but it's a really terrible bloody mess down there, I doubt you'd want to see that--" "You think I'd be affected by a little gore? Me? The warmonger? honestly, you can be so irrational sometimes." "Fantastic," June said tiredly, "It's the thought that counts I guess . . ." He used the wall Niamh had put him against to shakily stand. It wasn't too bad, after he got his balance, his legs weren't injured after all. February used the opportunity to come up behind him, and slash at Arke's back with the sword.
-
"Right," October said flatly to January, "May told me you were with December, where is she?" "The stress got to her, the poor thing, and she jumped," He said, gesturing at the window. "Isn't that a shame?" August frowned, "That seems very unlike her." "Well, she knew Father the longest, it only makes sense that she wouldn't feel herself after his murder," January said, closing the window and moving away from it. "Is it open?" September asked, hearing the small click.
-
"Yeah well, turns out improve skills in music don't translate to murder," He said with a chuckle. "What's the plan?"
-
"Whatever, it's not worth arguing over," She said, turning and continuing her search.
-
October just shrugged and opened the door, motioning for August and May to enter first. Inside, January was standing by an open window, clutching the edge and leaning out. He cursed softly before whipping around as he noticed the door open. December was not there. "Oh . . . October, you scared the crap out of me." He clutched his chest, looking out of breath. He stared at her for a few seconds, hesitating. ". . . Well, I suppose I'm not really one to turn down a stupid idea, after tonight," He said quietly.
-
"Sure, if it's actually a natural hole in the first place."
-
"And it's called logic," Liv muttered back.
-
Liv just rolled her eyes.
-
"True, that has to be a natural phenomenon with the hole somehow."
-
"No, you won't that's--that's my point, they'll just throw you in a cell or something." "Well there's our conformation they aren't going to be friendly," October said. He stood and followed a small trial of blood droplets to a door across the hall." "That room is a dead end," August said quietly, "If they went in there, then they'll likely still be there." ---- He nodded, and folded his hands in his lap, waiting patiently. There wasn't really much he could do to help.
-
October frowned, and crouched down to look at the broken pieces. "There's a little blood on the carpet here," He said gruffly, "It's unlikely she cut herself pushing the vase, she'd have to have grabbed one of the sharp pieces." August nodded, "It's classic enough, though not something I think January would have fallen for . . ." he turned to May, "Were they talking about anything interesting?" ----- He paused, "What are you . . . "Oh, you really can pick locks."
-
They rounded a corner in the hallway to find the table and the smashed vase shards all over the ground from before. December and January were no longer there. ---
-
"Will you show us where they were May?" October asked, changing his tone to sound cheerful, "That'd be very helpful." August didn't say anything ---- He leaned back against the seat. "I doubt that, though there's little I can do to change things now. Unless you know how to pick locks or something along those lines."
-
October paused, thinking. "He'll probably use her to get to February somehow," August whispered. "Well that's obvious enough," October replied harshly, "He couldn't have waited a few days, could he, he's been waiting for an opening like this for forever." ----- September just shook his head, "For all I preach about logic, it's a disappointment that I didn't see this coming."
-
October nodded to her absently, and started leading August down off the dias, his thick hand gripping his arm. They exited through one of the side doors, and entered the dark halls. "Did you see them doing anything May? Anything out of the ordinary?" He sounded nervous. He tensed slightly, but didn't mention it. "And of course I'd be easy to get out of the way in the end, weak and blind . . . I'm so stupid."
