    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

He ignored her question. ". . . it makes sense, he wouldn't want someone capable to take the place of September, so he'd have someone he knows won't be a threat take the place instead, and he has the perfect excuse because I'm his son . . ." September took several deep breaths trying to calm himself down. "Yeah but, I'll probably just die anyway." He did his best to give her a grin, but winced after trying to shrug.
  2. "You're right, it's highly unlikely for us to see the exact same thing if it's a psychological effect." Liv continued to think. "Maybe a hologram or a projection then, we have no proof it was physical."
  3. "Uh--it never touched you, right? It didn't touch me either, that means it could still be a hallucination . . ."

June shook his head, "Nah . . . they'll chase me--that's what I get for being stupid again. They don't really know you, and you seem harmless enough, if you just disappear they won't notice." His voice sounded strained. He sat rigid now, thinking quickly. "She has never liked my father, it was a political thing and they try to stay out of each other's business . . . " He mumbled in answer to her question, not really paying attention, "Jhosino's last button, he's going to kill me isn't he?" September ran another hand over his face, breathing quickly. ------ October glanced at the others in the throne-room nervously. "Come on," He finally grunted, pulling August out of his chair. "Let's go find out what's going on with them, I'm sure it's nothing but--" There was a flicker of worry in his eyes, "Yes, they'll just have news, and after we talk we can all leave to sort this out later."
  5. "I guess I'll try anyway then," Nera said with a sigh when no one volunteered. She'd need rest too, so hopefully they could take shifts driving during the day. For now, their priority would be to get away from the area as quickly as possible. The wagon began to roll through the grass with a creak as she flicked the reigns. It was slower now, and the bigger load would be harder on the horses, but it would work. Soon, they were back on the road, passing flat green fields of dry grasses. By mid-morning, Nera switched with someone else to drive, and took a rest. Everything was smooth going for about 4 hours. Just as the sun began to reach noon, something appeared on the horizon, large and bulky. As they got closer, it became clear what it was--a humble building, made of wood and stones. A way stop, or an inn or some sort. @Ookla the Mom Friend @Ookla the Interdimensional (pls come backkk) @Just_a_Fan @Ookla the Dragonslayer

"He said that . . . that I . . . well . . . mother didn't want me to come here, but he insisted, he said he wanted another Month to be someone he knew . . ." He put a hand to his head. ------- October frowned. "I thought both of them had left as well, what are they doing back here?"
  7. "Well, that's something," She told Astrid as she ducked inside. "At least their aren't any misty ghost people in here." She began sorting through the debris for any other papers that might match the one she'd found. @Ookla the Inconclusive

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

"I beg your pardon?" September asked nervously, "I'm here because he needs me to be . . ." ----- "Oh, hullo May, I thought you'd run," October said as she approached. He was still holding August down by the shoulders in hist chair, and August was staring at June across the room. "They're just fighting it out at the moment, if these people don't give up soon we can run out the back." He didn't look her in the eye as she did so, and didn't really react when she tied it down. "You should run away," He whispered.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

Inside, things were still in chaos. February was fighting Arke. March was unconscious on the floor. June was kneeling, holding his bleeding shoulder his his good arm. July who had been held back by a guard was now trying to wrestle his way free, but was failing. October still held August down on the other side of the room. Niamh and Rye stood to the side of the action. June was kneeling on the floor nearby, the blood spreading quickly. He seemed to shocked and in too much pain to even cry. There was some kind of inevitability in the way he stared at the floor, like he hadn't really expected this to go well in the first place. February lets him do so, using the chance to catch his breath, and grab his sword that had fallen a few feet away. It's hit's poor Jerem who seemed like a decent guy but has unnaturally bad luck.
  11. She shot at it's eye again, without hesitation, aiming past the vine.

February immediately tries to flip them both so that he's no longer on the bottom, using the fact that he was heavier to his advantage.

The palm hits him hard, and Arke's hears a crack as he breaks a rib. But February grabbed his wrist with his non-sword hand as it did, pulling them both down as they he backwards.

"Yes, that makes sense . . . he wouldn't help someone who's no use to him." September said. "Everything follows the same pattern of logic, when it comes to my father." --- "On no! I'm so sorry!" December said, crouching down to touch the glass shards with her tied together hands. "Get away from that, I'm not an idiot!" "I never called you can idiot Jan." "You'll use the glass as a knife to break away, I've seen it before." She looked up at him and shrugged, it was worth a shot. Jan turned back to May, "See how silly she's being? We know better, don't we." He grunts loudly, and the impact causes his grip on the sword to loosen, so when the hilt came down on Arke's head, it didn't hit very hard. February brought his knee up, trying to slam into Arke's middle.

"He might kill the others, but that's his way of things . . . and he didn't hill you," September rambled, "It's really, very logical." --- December sighed frustratedly. She accidentally back too far into the table, and the vase fell onto the floor and shattered. "Hey! Be quiet! Yelling and smashing stuff is not going to help!" Jan growled.

"Which means that logically, you should be too! I don't understand why one of you should be treated differently--and anyway, whether you were kidnapped is irrelevant to the current conflict." -- "That's right! A scary game for dark places, but this isn't the time for that." "MAY RUN!" December yelled, loosing her patience.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

It is in fact, not! He was unable to leap back because March and June where in the way, so instead he attempts to bring his sword hilt back in time to slam it into Arke's head. "Oh yeah, sure . . . I'm sorry for not believing you, it's just such a wild story. Surely, my father would have told me about such things if they were true." He handed the necklace back to her. "I don't think he'd want me to be a month so badly if he knew it was as bad as you say . . ." ---- "May, you should run," December said in an even, but dark tone. "W-what? No, we should all stay together, I'm sure she doesn't want to be alone," Jan said, strained. He was clearly still regretting not gagging her. "He'll kill you, run." December was edging towards the side of the hallway, wear a decorative table and vase stood. "December is . . She's trying to scare you! It's a fun game we play sometimes, but she should know better then to play games at a time like this, right?" January continued to May.

He thought for a moment, "Which means they didn't trust you, so I shouldn't trust you!" September sighed. "Father is always telling me that people will try to trick me because of . . . the way I am, and I don't want that to be that case but--well--he's also right most of the time." ----- "I know sweetheart, it's really scary." He crouched down to be at her level, "I'll keep you safe okay?" March slumps to the side, causing his blade to yank to the side while it was still inside June. He let out another whimper. February really truly frowned for the first time. He waved a hand towards Jerem, who quickly obliged him by handing Feb his sword. "None of you people know the definition of surrender." After a split second, just as Arke was landing, February was there in-between him and March, sword ready. He slammed forward at Arke, sword pointed at his middle.

March shrugs, "As if I'd wait for you . . ." He then stabbed June, who had be kneeling on the floor. The blade sunk deep into his shoulder. Wide-eyed, June let out a soft wine. "Stop it!" July yelled, completely at a loss for what to do. He just shook his head. "And? If you truly hated it there, you would've tried to leave--didn't your brothers do that? Why didn't you go with them? It doesn't make sense to me." --- January let go of December, though she was still tied up. "Hey there May! Are you okay sweetie?"

"I still don't understand why you couldn't have taken the risk, it seems obvious to me, if you were so unhappy . . ." --- Jan came to a complete halt. "Who's there?"

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

"Oh . . . really?" He seemed to be able to believe this a little more. "So you had a friend smuggle you things, but they couldn't have helped you escape?" "You just promised me you wouldn't use your weapons," February said darkly. "Are you breaking your promise?" "Yes." March said, "I've made this clear already, he killed my Father." "For heavens sake just do it!" October yelled form across the room. "Look kid, if you don't get out of the way, I'll kill you too." ------------- January was pulling December down one of the silent halls of the palace, his grip on her arm was tight and his head was sweaty. If the fight was still going on, they had no way of knowing. December couldn't here any sounds of battle, but it may have fallen into a stand off. "What's your plan with all this?" She asked as he pulled her down a red-carpeted hall that seemed more narrow then was standard. "I should have gagged you back at the mansion," Jan grumbled in return. "I mean, if you show up with me tied up that will just make February more angry and he'll kill you . . . if you threaten to hurt me, he'll kill you, I don't see this going your way." January just continued to pull her forward, not answering. @Ookla the Mom Friend
  22. Sharlin nodded. Climbing the tree had been a good idea for the tsunami, but definitely wouldn't be her first strategy in fighting a big monster like this. She raised her gun, aiming it at one of the creatures eyes . . . hopefully a shot like that would at least blind it, maybe cut through to it's brain. Sharlin pulled the trigger, and the shot rang out across the island with a satisfying BANG! @Ookla Rye
  23. "THAT IS A BAD IDEA," She yelled down at him, "YOU SHOULD STAY ON THE GROUND WHERE YOU CAN RUN!!"
  24. Alrighty, Treamayne's right to say we should start a new thread, so I made a headcanon thread if you're still interested in giving us your ted talk Sorry for derailing your intro thread! That's my bad as I misunderstood some of the rules. To hopefully change the subject back to getting to know you: Do you like bagels? If so do you have a favorite kind?
