In the tolkien fandom, there is very little 'official' merch that I'm interested in besides the books themselves (especially as someone more interested in silm then lotr). Currently, I'm collecting pieces for a Tolkien themed ita bag, and I would not be able to do with all of the amazing small businesses on Etsy that sell fan merch.

Plus, buying from an artists shop just makes me feel a little better then buying stuff from a big company. I know I'm supporting someone instead of making a billionaire richer. (Not that I don't buy from Amazon, sometimes it's unavoidable as someone with a limited budget, but it's good to avoid as much as possible).

Agreed. I don't like Amazon for that reason, and because some of the brands are sketchy, and because of the working conditions for the employees.
