Second su for tonight and I will go to bed soon BUT I wanted to talk about my reading a little.

I kept saying I was going to read Mockingjay next, and I did get two chapters in but . . . I think I'm going to put it down and come back to it later. I'm well aware that's it's going to be pretty brutal and sad, and I just don't think I have the mental capacity to take that on right now. Don't get me wrong I've loved the series so far, and I will definitely come back (I even managed to thrift a copy, so it will sit on my shelf and hold me accountable), I just really don't think I'll be able to enjoy it right now. I'm super stressed over a million things atm lol.

I'm actually thinking of rereading lotr. I got a really nice new copy for my birthday and I've been really wanting to dive back into tolkien (I own a few other books from the lengendarium but they're more notes/history then tale, and I don't know id i have the energy to undertake that just yet). On the other hand, I'm tempted to try something new, maybe one of the many fantasy series I have saved. I've recently been craving a vintage fantasy with a ton of the those tropes that most people dislike, but they scratch a bit of an itch for me when done right. Does anyone have anything in particular they really enjoyed? I'm curious to hear about it. I'm also open to reading literally anything that has elves in it. I'm so obsessed with elves.
