Terrance frowned. "You said you'd give up."

Terrance sat down.

"Okay." He got up and followed Jace.

"Fine."

"No!" Terrance was clearly agitated. "Just give up on it, alright?"

"No."

"No... He's the god of terror. Nothing to do with the underworld."

"He showed me how to use it. And... gave me some things to do, for a while."

"Yeah, and I got regular visits from my dad. I told you, there's nothing you can do."

"Yeah. Well, I've known since I was six. I've had time, and nothing's changed."

"Did you know you were a demigod long before you got to Camp?"

Terrance almost laughed. "You think after I've tried and failed for years to control my abilities, it'll be "easy-ish" for you?"

"If you don't expect me to, then you wouldn't be trying to do anything. But whatever you want to try, it won't work. And since it won't work, you know it'll be best for me to leave."

"Yes, I do. You just haven't seen them yet. You already expect me too, as you just said."

"I know I cause problems. That's why I don't stay around the same people for too long."

"Why not?"
