She was clearly dead. Unfortunately, any remaining hope was lost as a white-hot flame consumed her body in a blinding burst. When it went out, there was nothing left.

The figure grabbed the girl, lifted his metal staff, and impaled her through the chest faster than she or anyone else could react.

The figure sped up, gaining on the sister.

Terrance reluctantly continued to take small bites, but he wasn't eating very much.

"I've done just fine so far."

"Why are you so focused on this?"

"I don't need to eat."

Terrance took a small bite, then put it down again.

He looked at it suspiciously.

Terrance subtly pressed the sleeve of his dark cloak against his arm to soak up the blood.

"I said I'm fine."

"I'm fine."

He winced slightly as he felt one of the cuts on his arm open up and begin to bleed.

"Okay." Terrance fidgeted with his needle.

"I don't care."

Terrance sighed, and sat down.

Terrance did not sit.
