    "I've never met you before!" Lerac sighed as the spikes pierced his body, but didn't seem to be too bothered by them. He considered what to do, not particularly concerned about Thaidakar getting away.

    Lerac hit the ceiling and landed back on the ground without being so much as dazed. He approached Thaidakar again. "What will you make reality into, if you have that power?"

    The jolt of energy didn't seem to bother Lerac, and he held on. The energy continued flowing into Thaidakar. "What is it you want reality to be?"

    Just before he made it out the door, Lerac grabbed him by the arm. Immediately, waves of that warmth coursed through him. It was the essence of life, healing and comforting.

    Terrance looked at him, confused, though he carefully avoided eye contact. "What?"

    Terrance just shrugged.

    "They didn't. They haven't. From what I've been told, they don't."

    "And they think we're beneath them." There was obvious spite in his voice.

    "Well... at least from what I know, being in contact with your godly parent isn't really a good thing. They don't care about us."

    "Who is it?" Terrance seemed uncomfortable with the whole situation, but couldn't avoid it given their forced proximity.

    He paused before answering. "Not fear. That's Phobos. My father is Deimos, god of terror and dread. And I've known since I was six. Uh... he told me."

    I think basically it's best not to assume. Not to mention that among people who do have romantic feelings there's a lot of variation (i.e. demiromantic, gray-romantic)
