    "Never," Terrance said slowly, "threaten me like that."

    Terrance reacted immediately. The celestial bronze needle in his hand expanded into a long rod with a wickedly sharp point which touched Jace's chest. Terrance met his eyes, hitting him with an intense wave of terror. @RoyalBeeMage

    "I don't need to eat."

    "No, I'm fine."

    Terrance watched, then winced as his stomach audibly rumbled.

    "I'm not hungry," he said immediately.

    "Uh, sorry if I scared you. That happens when I heal someone that hurt."

    "What happened?" Lerac asked, looking at the further destruction and the ashes and flowers surrounding him. @Spark of Hope

    It appeared that that measure would not prove necessary. Without warning, Lerac sat up.

    Terrance quickly averted his eyes to make sure there was no eye contact. He did not return the smile or wave.

    Nothing changed.

    Eventually, a general aura of warmth about him that she hadn't even noticed was there died. Its absence left behind a distinct feeling of cold. The flowers no longer grew.

    Her hands healed immediately, a wave of his healing energy hitting her. It was hard to tell if he had a pulse.

    She succeeded. Oddly, he seemed completely undamaged by the flames, even though he had definitely been burning. Some flowers began growing around him again through the ashes, though more slowly than before.
