He did, letting Jace out of the vision. Then he ran, quite literally disappearing into the groups of pedestrians milling outside.

In reality, Jace didn't do or say anything, but Terrance could see and feel his terror. Terrance was terrified too. He didn't quite understand what Jace meant or felt, but something inside him pushed him to try and kill whatever it was.

Terrance looked Roy in the eye intentionally, holding his gaze.

"Why?"

The man who had killed the girl turned to Jace. His eyes were dark, unnaturally so.

Terrance blinked. "Huh?"

"The sun rising is inevitable. 'Liking' me is not."

"What are you saying? I still don't get it."
