  1. Woah. I really like the cyclical style with the beginning and ending pasages. Elements remind me of stories like The Bridge to Terrabithia, The Greatest Showman and the Snow Queen book. I'm not much of a writer myself but I am an annoying nitpicker so here's the feedback I can give I like the parallel and I see what you're trying to do but it does read as a little bit simplistic and repetitive. Maybe you could find another phrase or way to mirror their feelings? Possibly even flip the sentences ( [he was fast] she had a crush, [she awesome] he had a crush). Not sure how to fix it but it seems a bit off. Okay here's the nitpicky I warned you about. Sooo basically that means that it is possible that all these could be flowering at the same time (YAY) That would set your story likely in England or Wales then (england is more plausible particularly for the forget me nots) BUT the end of flowering season ('wilting') would not be the start of Autumn because for all of these wildflowers to be in a grassy plain it would have to be WINTER because daffodils are a winter growing (and summer dormant) species, poppies usually don't overlap with the flowering of daffodils BUT sometimes they can start flowering at the end of winter [they do where I live!] (while the daffodils are still gorgeous) and the Forget me nots don't initially flower in winter but from experience their blooms last a long time, often into winter As foe the dandelions, they're weeds, its not too hard to suspend your disbelief and imagine they'd be flowering at the end of winter! So it's the end of winter in that section (probably in england) Sorry if this isn't what you were looking for but the continuity and details like that really make or break a story for me! --- To continue on the flowers I want to say kudos to you on your choices. Whether intentional or not they really add layers top your story. DAFFODIL Scientific name from the tragic unrequited love story of Echo and Narcissus. - This also ends with tragedy(?) and unresolved love also has themes of fate working against/manipulating love In the language of flowers while a bouquet of daffodils represents new beginnings, rebirth and joy; one represents misfortune so possibly you could throw in the detail that he bouquet contains a single daffodil or one of them hands the other one at some point as subtle foreshadowing. POPPY Death, magic, fate, sleep and dreams. That fits with the wish and the forever 'sleep'/'death' they find themselves in a figurines FORGET-ME-NOT Represents true love/respect in relationships that transcends the boundries of time and space e.g. I will love you always. DANDELIONS Transformation (usually good ones but... oof-) ---- This kind of continuity stuff is my jam, sorry again if it wasn't what you were looking for This is really long, whoops
  2. Competitively? No, I'm good at long distance/cross country racing but it I always feel like I am dying. However, I love to zoom everywhere. and have random bursts of speed all the time. TPBM is a horse girl
  3. Roseite, it's solid aether and will look really cool
  4. ALAS not even once! I've had it since it came out but I've been saving it until either I finish my exams or at least the first semester if I can't wait because I want to enjoy it and it has been motivation for me to study and get through the year but it's torture seeing it there in my bookshelf every day and knowing I could read it because it's right there and this is something I'm imposing on myself but also knowing I need the reward as motivation TPBM can do a backflip
  5. My true love sent to me: four calling birds three french hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree
  6. January, not just because my birthday is in it but also because it's Summer here and I get to see my family that I only see once a year and a lot of fun things seem to start then. What is your second favourite fiction genre?
  7. I'd probably prefer a really good oatmeal cookie over a meh chocolate chip one but overall I think chocolate chip is more consistently good. I've had some bad oatmeal cookies (and some really good chocolate chip ones) TPBM has worn tap shoes before

personally, I most enjoy the theoretical of TTRPGs more than the actual gameplay. I love maxing damage and figuring out how to survive things that no one should be able to survive. For example, my brother and I were talking about how technically Prestidigitation can be used to make a nuke ("You chill, warm, or flavor up to 1 cubic foot of nonliving material for 1 hour." Note how there's no limit to how warm you can make it, so you can just make an atom super-heated and create a nuke.), and we realized that in order to survive that, you really only need 2 turns and to be a 7th level cleric. 1st turn cast Death Ward. 2nd turn, use prestidigitation to nuke. BBEG dead, party dead, world destroyed, only you survive. Mission successful.

See platypus, I'm the opposite. I love the story and collaborative imagination rather than the numbers, dice and mechanics which is awesome because ttrpg's have stuff for everyone and you can tailor a game to what YOU find fun and a table with different types of players can work so well together if there is good communication :D

personally, if I want a story, I read a book or watch a movie. If I want to change the story, I change books. but that exasperated sigh followed by the age-old, "What?" just makes my day :P

  17. I'm what you might call a "strong mover" in the musical theatre sphere (not a dancer) but last night at rehearsal we were doing a lot of choreographed patterned movement (spot switching and confuddlement that looks really cool when a group moving in sync does it) and usually I'm just confused and trying to catch up in dance rehearsals but when we all did our in sync spot switching it looked SO COOL and I actually knew what I was doing and I got that shivery feeling you get when you do an awesome harmony. I've been so sick the last couple weeks and this was my first time back around other people and it was just awesome. The magic of theatre really is just the magic of friendship/teamwork under another moniker. Anyways ignore my sappiness
  18. I don't HATE it but I always give it to other people if I have a mixed bag TPBM is neurodivergent in some way
  19. really? aww man does this work?
  20. haha I forgot I made this. I would by no means call myself a visual artist but I occasionally doodle for funsies In the spirit of nostalgia here's a little drawing I did of my DND party as cartoon characters a couple days ago
  21. I don't even think it was on purpose, it seemed like the aim was just an artsy sort of thing but it came out very piratey in the best way possible. here's an artistic representation of what it looked like: not an accurate representation of my family but you get the gist lol
