  1. So the Unmade are basically super-spren that came from Odium, they're similar to the Godspren like the Stormfather, the Nightwatcher and the Sibling, though probably a step beneath them on the totem pole. So my question is could someone Bond with an Unmade? Not Yelig-Nar I mean like Sja-Anat or Nergaoul, would it be possible with one of them? If so what kind of craziness would arise from that?
  2. I'm talking about Elend being able to control Hemalurgic constructs without Duralumin, though not as many as Vin could with Duralumin. Hmm... Yeah I guess you have a point, so then you'd need both A-Iron and A-Pewter to do this without breaking your legs, either though being Misborn or through Hemalurgy. Thanks, I was pretty confused on how to do that.
  3. He could he just never learned how to do it, there's a WOB on it but I don't how to post that stuff. Elend could do stuff that Vin would usually need Duralumin for. So I'd say that's a pretty big difference. As for the rest of the physics stuff that I only half understand, from what I'm getting your saying that if a regular Lurcher did what I suggested they'd break their legs if they flared while Pulling. But what if they Burned Iron at a lesser rate and pulled with just enough force to lift themselves off the ground? Without breaking their legs.
  4. Damn, on one hand if I wanted the cool powers I'd go with being a Mistborn, but It'd be really expensive getting Bendalloy and such. With Feruchemy you just need one piece of each and your good, no need to spend more. But the storing thing would be kind of annoying but at least all of the metals would have some use, unlike Allomancy where half of the metals would be borderline useless in 'the real world', but the other half would be really fun. But Feruchemy would be a lot more useful if your just trying to live life, so I'd choose to be a Feruchemist just for convivence and for quality of life improvements. Plus I might be able to figure out Unsealed Metalminds and make myself rich by selling MAGIC.
  5. I always thought that the math behind the strength of Steelpushes and Ironpulls was 'User weight + Innate Allomantic strength' else how would the Steel Inquisitors and Elend have Steelpushes that were so much stronger than Vin and Kelsier's? It couldn't just be because the Inquisitors were heavier because then Vin would have managed something during her 'pushing match' with one instead of going 'Woah this Inquisitor's Steelpushes are so much stronger than mine!', and I don't recall Vin ever saying anything about their weight being the cause. TL;DR your weight isn't the only factor in determining the strength of your pushes and pulls, so your Ironpulls would be a bit stronger than what you weigh. So my idea is somewhat plausible. Not completely, but somewhat.
  6. Yeah That's the plan for my story, but he's going to need a lot of boats though. It's what happens when your trying to evacuate a whole population.
  7. Any combination? Also remember that there's also a Resonance between each combinations so that'll add a little extra spice to any combination. For everyday life A-Pewter and F-Copper is the way to go for me, A-Pewter would give me all sorts of benefits and would be fairly cheap and F-Copper would be insanely useful in this day and age, where you can just look up anything you want, then put it in a Coppermind and remember it whenever you want as if you'd just read it. Not to mention you could put your personal info in them and boom, no more forgotten passwords you have to change for the billionth time. Just so useful if your a total goldfish like me. Specific uses is where it'd get interesting. If I wanted combat double steel would be my best bet, I'd just rush in at 100x normal speed and put metal coins through everyone's heads. Speedster + Living Gun = BS If I wanted to make friends as fast as possible or wanted to go do espionage I'd pick A-Brass and F-Duralumin, I could store into a Duraluminmind and Soothe away anyone's remaining awareness of me or something. If I wanted to just have as much fun as possible I'd want A-Steel and F-Iron because then I'd be able to pretty much fly.
  8. Maybe a metal chair? Also for changing directions there's always tilting, though that's where the 'tricky' part comes in.
  9. So Allomantic Iron allows a Metalborn to 'Pull' metals. So what if a Lurcher (or Mistborn) wore metal boots and pulled on them, would they be lifted up? Would this be a more effective, though more tricky, form of flight through Allomancy than using Allomantic Steel?
  10. Ah okay, so it's unlikely for a Nahel Bond to work the same way if someone becomes a ghost due to the lack of a Connection to the Physical Realm. Chances are the CS would lose the Surges, but they might be able to keep the ability to breath Stormlight, which if they weren't a Sliver might help keep them from going Beyond so long as they had a renewable supply of it.
  11. I remember that once you give up the power of a Shard, you become a Sliver and your soul is expanded. So would this mean you could handle more Bonds, or maybe attract more Spren to you? I read a few WOB's and one of them said that it was technically possible for multiple Spren to Bond with a human, though they wouldn't like it. Perhaps because the average soul can only properly support a single Nahel Bond and it would be difficult for two Bonds to advance to any meaningful degree, thus leaving the Spren unable to gain more sapience. And perhaps a Sliver could properly support more Bonds, thus preventing their spiritweb from getting clogged up by the number of deep spiritual Bonds. And yeah I know that it's also because of potentially conflicting Oaths but not all of them are going to conflict, I'd think that one could easily uphold the Oaths of both a Windrunner and a Willshaper with minimal difficulty.
  12. Hypothetical situation, some guy becomes a sliver, bonds with a Spren then dies and becomes a Cognitive Shadow. So what happens to the Nahel Bond? Will it break or continue after death?
  13. Ah okay, so using Cohesion on Liquids would be rather superfluous but Tension on liquids would probably work. Aw, I was going to write a story about a guy traversing the Cognitive Realm by moving a small patch of land around by using Cohesion. Back to the drawing board, or just to boats I guess.
  14. Ah, so Shadesmar really does reflect the Physical Realm, they were pretty much dealing with their own Diet-Desolation. As well as being very un-unified. It'd be pretty interesting if Dalinar's 'Unite Them' extended to the Spren too. Also likely in my opinion.
  15. Polymerise? Are you referring to Cohesion with this? Also do you think it would be possible to affect the ground in Shadesmar with Tension or Cohesion, because Shadesmar is entirely made of Investiture and I don't know if that would mess it up or not.
  16. That sounds concerning. Ah, I forgot about that. So I suppose that it probably won't become a concern, at least probably not until space age stuff and Nalthis's population reaches the trillions or something.
  17. So what exactly were most Spren doing before and during the Final Desolation? They already knew it was coming due to the Everstorm and a few Spren did go out to Bond with humans, but what exactly were the majority of living Spren doing in Shadesmar? Just sitting around waiting for Odium to kill them? Because I'm pretty sure Odium would have absolutely killed all Spen after he was done with Roshar and humans. Did the Spren in Shadesmar really make zero preparations?
  18. So could the Surges of Cohesion and/or Tension be used on liquids like water, or would that not work? And could they be used on gases as well? Thoughts?
  19. So if overpopulation occurs on Nalthis, Endowment will eventually go Old Testament to not lose too much power?
  20. Well it would have to have been known to have been 'Lost' and I'm not sure if Sazed would like an unchecked Godmetal that anyone could use just lying around so it would probably be the Electrum/Atium alloy that we know as Atium from Era 1.
  21. Wait, do you mean ripping pieces of someone's soul out without stabbing them or do you mean stapling stuff onto your own soul without stabbing yourself? Because one sounds like an absolute nightmare and the other just seems convenient.
  22. Can Endowment choose not to give a Nalthian a Breath when they are born? Or is that beyond her control? Just curious for thoughts.
  23. So in order to make a Perfect Gemstone, you'd have to cut a (specific) Gemheart until it's Flawless?
  24. The Mists are regional in Era 2, it was Era 1 where the Mists were global. But yeah, there is actually ambient Investiture on Scadrial, what with the Mists being from Preservation/Harmony, so I think it wouldn't be too unbelievable if one of the scholars figued out how to use the Mists to keep themselves alive, like Vasher with Stormlight. It would probably be trickier then just stepping into the Mists and breathing in though. Perhaps compressing it into a liquid and drinking it?
