UPDATE

went to a Shrek themed rave on friday

twas very epic

very next day (yesterday) my throat hurts a LOT

it's super sudden

my roommate says they think it's strep

they take me to urgent care

they test me for strep and basically gag me with a q-tip (the lady doesn't even warm me beforehand so I gagged) (this was done by the nurse with a bit of an attitude)

it's not strep

(phew)

they test for covid

they shoved a q-tip up my nose (that one wasn't super bad, I've had the test done before so I knew what was coming) (this was done by the cool nurse lady)

we wait 15 minutes

right as I said "has it been 15 minutes yet?" the timer goes off

cool nurse lady walks in

me: "am I gonna die?" (jokingly)

her: *nods head* "I'll get you guys some masks"

me: "oh boy. [roommate] prep my coffin. prepare the Kahoot questions. it wont be long before you mourn me"

I have COVID  

so now I'm banished to my room for like two weeks (it would usually only have to be a week and a half I think but I want to be safe since my roommates parents are on immuno-suppressors (I think that's what it's called) so if they get covid they could actually die and I think they're pretty cool and epic so I don't want that to happen)

so this is day two of the bed-ridden covid shortcake
