I'm using speech to text so if there's no punctuation then suck it up I guess and I will try to fix any spelling mistakes if I find any
so tomorrow I was supposed to work in 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. shift, but the person that I normally work with in the morning time from my 11:00 to her ending of the shift which is at 2:00 p.m. got in a car crash so my boss texted and she's like hey can you come in doing the 7 am to 2 pm shift and she thought that I was looking to 10 am to 2 pm shift which is what I do every other Saturday and so I am working a double I'm working 12 to 13 hours tomorrow I'm working either 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
and I can't find my phone charger. I know that I had it in my bag but I literally searched every single bag that I have and I can't find it so I texted my boss (she's super awesome by the way) to ask whether she had one or if we could stop by the gas station on the way over there to let me buy a new charger since she's picking me up cuz my grandma has to go to a funeral and I can't go because I told my boss that I would take tomorrow's shift
the thing about my work is that if you get done with your things and everyone else on your section is done or didn't need help, you can clock out early and you can also clock in early if you get there early but the earliest you can clock in is I think like 30 minutes? and there's usually a set schedule but since I told them that I could do morning and evenings every other Saturday, they are letting me stay in the dining room and stay clocked in, because usually if you do double like I do closing shift, you would have to clock out by 2:00 p.m. and then you can clock back in at 4:00 p.m.
so basically the available shifts is 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as a server, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as a side maker and a server which is what I usually do every other Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as a morning breakfast and lunch cook which is what my boss does, and then for evening shifts there's a 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and that's just two people doing that same shift and so basically you can do drinks or you can do silverware, and then whoever gets done with the thing they're working on first, usually it's whoever is doing the silverware (aka me) does the science for the evening. but since I have started the 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. shift, I can do my sides between 2 and 4:00 p.m. and then it just makes it easier overall.
also another thing is that I usually only work three days a week, Monday and Thursday 4 to 7 and then Saturday either 10-2 or 11-7 based on the week, but I'm working this Saturday (tomorrow) 7 am (possibly 6 am based on when I get picked up) to 7 pm, Sunday 4 pm to 7 pm, monday 4 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday 4pm to 7 pm, Thursday 4 pm to 7 pm, Saturday (again) 11 am to 7 pm
sorry for that huge ramble but yeah
TLDR: I explained how the shifts work at my job and was explaining how I'm working at least 12 hours tomorrow. and then a lot throughout spring break

I worked by myself the entire day other than the two cooks. ;-;
I was supposed to have another person with me for two of the meals, since for breakfast, they do things a little bit differently for serving
breakfast and lunch was understandable because there was an actual reason but the person I was supposed to work with during dinner quite literally no call-no showed. me and the cook were really stressed because it was a leftovers night but the cook the day before used most of the leftovers as a "second option" (which isn't allowed) so we had to ration and most of the residents were really angry about that, and I had to stay 40 minutes past my shift was supposed to end to do things to help the people out on the floor (other than the dining room, so like helping residents get to their rooms and stuff even though I'm not supposed to do that since that's not in my job description) and we still didn't get some of the stuff done, but since there was only one of my, it was okay since if there's only two kitchen staff you don't have to mop. our dishwasher broke halfway through the cycle for our silverware and wouldn't;t open, so we couldn't set tables for breakfast the next day. also, we didn't open up the dining room until 10 minutes after we were supposed to and we still weren't ready. also, the cornbread that we made since we didn't have enough biscuits from leftovers went from undercooked to slightly burnt within less than 5 minutes. I had to have a resident aide that still does kitchen shifts sometimes help me with the drinks and pour them since we weren't ready. also all of this happened like two days after the main shift manager left for a mission for her church for two weeks. I can't wait for her to get back. I worked like 13 and a half hours yesterday. not that I'm complaining, since when you pick up a shift you get a bonus, and if you work weekends your pay goes from $13.50 to I think either $14 or $15 on those days. and since I worked a double, I get a bonus for that as well.
also, two of the residents were super nice and offered to help me clean up after dinner
tldr: everything was going great up until dinner. and then everything exploded.

continuation: I think my body thinks I'm an old frail man, because I wore cushioned shoes and my feet, knees, and back were just radiating with ache once dinner started and they still do.
also another thing, is I'm supposed to have like 2 hours of just having free time to relax and stuff between cleaning up from lunch and prepping for dinner but I was working my tushy off that entire time
