  1. Dave chuckled. "No, that would fairly presumptuous of me. No one has worshiped me for a long time. Except maybe those few villages?" Dave blinked away his memories. "It is a fair enough comparison however."
  2. "I severely doubt you can withstand me invoking my power. The problem is I don't know if I could withstand it either." Dave trailed off thoughtfully. Dave quirked a smile. "For him maybe. I'm finding it to be an interesting experience.
  3. Dave raised a finger. "Ah! But, if you eat me I can't get you apples, and these polite folks will probably kill you somehow."
  4. "Well if your going to be so polite about it." Miyako mumbled quietly. "Coming." She said louder to the guard.
  5. Dave shrugged. "Personal preference I would guess. Myself, I'd go for some apples but whatever you like works."
  6. "Umm, maybe? I don't know what going on." "You guys are very bad at whispering." The witch said drily. Miyako groaned and pushed her face into her pillow. "Tides, can we at least have food before we see the princess?" Miyako said loudly to the door.
  7. Quest pointed over at the witch and whispered to Antin. "The witch is back and she is demanding the house."
  8. Miyako blinked awake. What was Hyron saying? "No. I'm asleep." Miyako mumbled. She rolled over and pulled the blanket over her head. -------------------------------------- Quest poked the dying embers of a long fire as he slowly bit away at his meal, of a single fruit. He blearily threw his arms back into a silent yawn before slumping back down to his log seat. Quest quietly enjoyed the serene peace of fully noticing the world, feeling the cooling breeze brush through scattered leaves, the calls of sparrows weaving with the dampened still world and the full smell of dirt and clean rot, of animals and life and all beautiful things. The wind in his hair. The boots against his feet. Each beautiful in the right light. He enjoyed the kind of awake you can only really notice half asleep. Quest began to stir from his thoughts. He strained to hold on to the moment, but it slipped away the faster he chased. Such is the way of things. It was probably time to start researching anyway. Quest sat up. He had forgot about his notes! Holding the edge of a smile, Quest pulled around the edge of the house towards the front doors. He bit the fruit, and absently wiped the juice away from his chin. Quest grinned, it was just such a beautiful morni- A sucking sound, of reality cracking in on itself played out behind Quest. He spun to find an old woman standing behind him. She wore a ragged red and gray dress, now with the addition of several new tears leaking blood. Her gray turning on white hair was riddled with broken twigs and leaves and a large gash seeped blood above her eyebrow. She held a large tome under her arm, but noticeably there was an absence of her lantern. She was doubled over, leaning against a tree as she breathed in heavy gasps of air. Quest froze and glanced back to the house. Eventually, he cleared his throat. The witch straightened and held her book under her arm in an imposing manner, at least that looked like the intended purpose. "Um, are you ok?" Quest asked tentatively. The witch's frown softened momentarily before quickly freezing over. "Give me back my house." @The Aspiring Archivist
  9. "Mhm, good to know." Dave turned back to Fadran and Pyro. "Let's not try electricity." "I think Obsidian is some kind of parasite trying to eat me. Currently all pain he feels is translated to me." Dave frowned. "It's not to dire yet but we should probably do something."
  10. Dave nodded and pointed at his arm. "Obsidian here is trying to eat me. Do you have a way to stop this? Also, if you could, try not to hurt him. The pain translates to me."
  11. "Thank you for helping." Dave nodded at the vanishing boy. Dave began to rock on his heels. "Did that cut hurt at least?" Dave queried.
  12. "Hello, I'm terribly sorry but it is probably not the time for pleasantries. Could you perhaps do something about this?" Dave said, gesturing to his ooze covered arm.
  13. Miyako fell asleep in seconds. She lay sprawled out there, sword half held in her arms, an open canteen next to her head and hair splayed out across the pillow. With wisps of dreams and thought dancing through her head Miyako slept.
  14. Miyako blinked. "Oh, right." She looked up at Hyron. "Why are we sharing a room?"
  15. "Ok, I'm over this." Dave glanced around the foyer, calmly looking for someone to help him, ignoring the black ooze creeping up his arm. "Hello? We may have a parasite trying to consume me. Fadran? Anyone?" @Channelknight Fadran
  16. Miyako passed back into some form of conciseness and fumbled to wrap her fingers around Hyron's canteen. "Hyron?"
