  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TPBM is MBPT
  2. Brightlord snapped awake from dreams of a galaxy far, far away and came to attention, looking at the board. "Reconnaissance?" he mumbled. "Why would we ever want to do Connaissance over again? We did it perfectly fine the first time." "Also, when are we planning this mission for anyway?"
  3. Kinda....? Not really though. I play enough instruments TPBM likes JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz ...not Jazz
  4. Nope! I'm from Drialscad TPBM is a fantastic person
  5. It's not a stick figure in a dress.....? Oh wait I love it!
  6. Ooh yeah very good point Those who didn't vote were <Ash, Mad, Turtle, Alv, Fadran> Idk I thought another day to live might have been fun. And also continuing the snarky attitude I actually didn't notice this @everyone is it bad manners to say "after my flip this will be true" Cause like my flip is happening no matter what I think especially with Mad's post ...Yeah These are the darwinian forces coming to slap me in the face for not properly villaging After this game I need to seriously rethink my playstyle Actually the reason I said E!Devo was literally just process of elimination Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe everyone on my train is village. Maybe Wiz is Evil. Maybe I'm evil and I just misread my GMPM Cause I'm V!reading Mat and Wiz I'm planning on looking at said POE and nonvoters later in post They'd probably prefer the situation we're in rn, honestly. As to how they would get there actually I don't know Dividing votes is something I've seen elims like to do as a distancing tactic especially if both are village Nonvoters also get scrutiny I notice you say this after I note that this is a villager behavior But jokes aside I'm still leaning towards V reading you Yeah I agree with that. I don't know since I haven't had an elim game since QF63 (*cue eye rolls of my voters*—but it's true) I think it's getting more comfortable with thread and all that jazz I gotta go back to the past, man Thank you. I rely too much on people seeing past my suspicious playstyle and using their gut on my posts I like this very much. Drake if you're evil Thank you, and I understand. Been thinking about what I should do if the genuine best thing is for the village to vote me out. First I was fighting it cause "guys I'm village this is a mistake" and whatnot and that's worked for me a lot actually just convincing people of my village tone. This game my actions are a lot more important, and honestly, they've been kinda bad. So I guess the best thing to do is give my input before I die. As Fifth emphasized repeatedly Thoughts The elims have no motive to vote this cycle so that's a place to look after my death. Most likely some will vote later in the cycle, or there's one-two on me right now. I suspect most lie in those who haven't voted yet My Poe from my earlier post is <Fifth, Fadran, Devo, JNV, Hael> and nonvoters were <Ash, Mad, Turtle, Alv, Fadran> Fifth - (changed to village read) Fadran - slight elim but won't vote here Devo - null, not voting here JNV - null Hael - null Ash - elim lean Mad - slight elim Turtle - sliiiiight vil Alv - elim lean Anyway here're my thoughts village do what you will with them @Fifth Scholar my bad for the misunderstanding If Fifth really is evil I'm sorry my reads are terribly messed up Quippy!Silho will return MR61: You'llSeeTomorrow!Shining + Volatile Activity + Random votes = Quippy Chaos Casual Silho What if I really was feeling casual Sometimes you gotta feel the casualness inside you. And when the stress starts to come up All you gotta do is remember you're cool And casualness rules the world And being confusing confuses the Elims too —Silho out
  7. Analysis in another tab and coming soon but no I didn't vote you I voted mainly because people kept voting Fifth without much reasoning, so I decided to vote with no reasoning at all to make a point--Fifth also hadn't responded to the votes so I wanted to see if I could make him sweat a bit Yes that's confusing to people but sometimes you gotta have some fun
  8. I need advice.

So at the end of the year seniors go on internships for about six weeks. Students can essentially choose their internship by talking to sponsors and organizations ect. The form for the internship choice is due in about two weeks.

One option for me is to go intern at my uncle’s software company in DC. In college, I’m planning on double majoring in Math and CompSci, so this will be extremely useful for my career in the future. This kind of thing is also very important for graduate school admissions and I’m confident I could do impressive work at the internship and receive a fine recommendation.

The other option is to intern with some professional musicians in NYC. Music is my greatest passion, and I feel like this could be a musical renaissance for me, a once in a lifetime opportunity. My orchestra teacher tells me I should publish a book with my compositions/arrangements—this could open up the door for me to do that. But it won’t help me in college and what I want to study professionally.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    1. Mat

      Mat

Oh geez, that's a hard choice. As someone who also loves music and math both... yeah that's tough.

One thing you could do is weigh how much the software internship would help your college (something you've probably done a million times, now that I say this out loud :P) but if it's an amount that is 'minimal' (in quotes, because any amount is good) then maybe go with the once in a lifetime opportunity. But there have to be so many variables that I don't know about.

And... pray, is what I would say. Cause I believe God will direct your choices, and that you can figure out which one you 'should' do.

And should is quotes because seriously, there's not really a wrong choice here if you know what I mean :P Two awesome opportunities that will take you far no matter which you choose, and I wish you good luck in whatever endeavor that is :)

    2. Morningtide

      Morningtide

What Ookla the Tall said. I can't offer any advice besides restating that.

  9. *hugs* That's downright stupid. I like your haircut! I think those people don't know what they're talking about. I'm sorry you had to go through that awful day. You deserve so much better. You're a wonderful person, and I think the people that are ignoring you are missing a gem right in from of their eyes. Their loss, I think.
  10. I wrote the part about Stick before I saw the votes. Yes I posted like a full six hours later but like...I was on a long car ride and I didn't want to waste time reconsidering. I think I was totally biased in hindsight I think cause I trust Kas and I read his Xino post before I did mine Sorry about the exclusion...wasn't intentional Post on its way
  11. Very fair. That's ClosedMinded!Me right there Off the top of my head I have a moderate v read of Mat and Wiz atm. Both seem actively trying to solve. I like how Wiz brought up posts from previous games—that feels like the V!Wiz that has stepped up in previous games. I feel like Mat is genuinely considering the possibility of V!Me and I appreciate it. I'm trying my best not to instantly e read those who are voting me, but my V!Fadran read has started to feel a little weird. @Ookla the [Redacted], you haven't really expressed why you're voting me or what makes me sus to you. Drake, though you e read me, it feels like you're trying to do what's best for the village and I appreciate that. Bookwyrm is a little weird in how they defended their defense of me, could be tmi, but I liked their post where they were like "Wait why Siliho what's going on there". Probably null but slightttt vil I feel strongly that there is at least one Elim on the Silho train and probably because of that, there are some elims distancing on JNV Edit: Xino. Out of the voters on me, I lean heaviest on E!Devo for what seems like a convenient/opportunistic vote and Fifth by POE. Just because a train started quickly on Fifth doesn't disqualify E!Fifth Actually, E!Fifth is totally possible. Just because it started with quickly and little reason doesn't disqualify its legitimacy. The same thing happened in LG90 with E!Archivist and a victim picked by a shot in the dark shouldn't be ruled out just because of the method picking it. Yes I know this applies to me too. I'll have to look back at where the votes were when my train started to see how likely I think that is. I've said my thoughts on Bookwyrm, but as for Xino, probably JNV/Hael are most suspicious here. In summary my POE without backreading is (unordered) <Fifth, Fadran, Devo, JNV, Hael> Is anyone ever really 100% committed to a train even at the end of a cycle? Villagers, I mean :P. Gtg for a bit but in a couple hours I should have time to reread and make a real analysis post.
  12. Silho winked. "Those guards will never know what hit them"
  13. Hoyd. One syllable. That's how I've normally heard it
  14. Woah That's actually really interesting
  15. I was thinking like it's just another weird thing going on with me this game but yeah it's not particularly relevant Yeah honestly pretty bad move on my part You see I was tracking all votes in my original post and I would've caught that—but I'm a really slow writer so I just decided to focus on votes on me. You explained yourself fine; I meant that in the context of like the three other voters in a row who didn't explain themselves Interesting in that I want the thread to see it interesting Okay. My thoughts after looking through the posts were surely there had to be another candidate who was just as suspicious but not as apparent out of principle. Because there definitely must have been an elim slip somewhere, and since it wasn't me (haha well not an elim slip) we should be able to find it. I'll analyse/post reads tomorrow I promise I'm just a little wiped out right now Interesting things to think about for sure. You're right, it does have downsides Basically people are suspicious of me cause I was saved and V!Xino killed And I've been attempting to defend myself
  16. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I JUST GOT ANOTHER JAZZ PIANO GIG AT THE LOCAL SOCIETY IN MY TOWN FOR A CHRISTMAS PARTY

LAST YEAR I DID IT THERE WAS A SENATOR THERE

    I'M SO EXCITED!!

  17. Just kidding! Double posting, because I have stuff to say! Edit: Thanks Drake Okay in summary: The reasons people voted me were: Unusually inactivity My vote on Fifth I'm seen as worse than Xino ...And that's it Like what! If I missed your justification you can @ me but like no one really cased me. People just voted. Also interesting to think about was that Mat was elim with me my one elim game and said that "I guess my biggest problem with this train is that, like, you dug your own grave. Which is just bad elim play and I… don’t think you’d do bad elim play tbh." Okay I'm sulked for a bit but I'm not going to give up I realize. Shining Silhouette I genuinely believe that there are better reasons and better people to exe this cycle for the village. Regardless of my alignment. I'm sure there have been people more suspicious than me, and just because I'm the obvious choice cause I was supposed to be exed doesn't mean I should be. Anyway discussion about this is good because it'll allow for more posts to be analysed later game. So even if you want me dead, please just discuss it! Also while reading I realized I never clarified myself for Mat. I comprehended zero of those words if I’m being honest Oh wow I actually made no sense there. Yeah I was saying that sometimes the best way to defend yourself is to reply to possible comments before they happen and that that was something I was trying out that game. For example when I told everyone that I was lurking but I was only lurking because I was in the middle of class. And there I was saying that though Bookwyrm was defending me, we're not e/e Edit: Also I will do some more analysis tomorrow and case somebody. I'm just kinda tired now :P.
