  1. "It powers my abilities. Which include general physical enhancement and...some other things."
  2. "Seriously though, guys, are we getting off here?" Calev asked.
  3. Calev blinked. "Not really. It's just energy...that comes from stars."
  4. "I have some," Calev said, pulling it out of his backpack and handing it to her.
  5. Calev looked around, somewhat agitated. "Aren't we getting off the train?" he asked.
  6. "Still..." he trailed off, then shook his head. "No use dwelling on it now." He turned to the boy. "You said we're stopping soon? Where, exactly?"
  7. "Vena healed you," Calev said. "Also...I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you. I tried...but that monster...nevermind. Suffice it to say you have my apology."
  8. "You okay, Eddie?" Calev asks. @Edema Rue
  9. "That's really interesting..." Calev said, thinking.
  10. His eyes widened. "Really?"
  11. "Hm," Calev said, thoughtful.
  12. "Lightwielders can absorb energy emitted from stars and turn them into usable energy under the right conditions. The process is somewhat complicated, otherwise I'd be overflowing with energy from this world's sun. We use the processed Starlight to power our abilities and solidify the Blueprints."
  13. "Yeah, same. But why do you sound like you're offering the Starlight to me?"
  14. Calev, still caked in snow, turned to Aster. "What do you mean?"
  15. Calev glared at Lilyana dejectedly. "What was that for?!"
  16. Calev sighed and shook his head. "Of all the train cars I could have climbed into..." he said under his breath.
  17. Calev started to speak, then hesitated. "Why did she jump out the window, anyway?" he asked Lilyana and Aster. @The Wandering Wizard @Aeoryi
  18. "She's fine now," Calev said, gesturing towards Eddie. "Physically, anyway..."
  19. Calev warily looked at the newcomers.
  20. "You're welcome. And thank you," he said, for everything that you've done." @CalanoCorvus @The Wandering Wizard
  21. Calev sighed. Calev walked over to an empty chair in the train car, sitting silently, somberly. That monster didn't belong to the Makers, he thought. It would have reacted violently to my powers, otherwise...so that's good. The thoughts didn't completely block out the worm of guilt that crept up inside him. He shoved it down.
