  1. Suddenly, more pineapples. Pineapples are the mascot of my school's Science Olympiad team. They hold a special place in my heart. I did not mean to blaspheme.
  2. Welcome to the Shard! I also started with Mistborn. It's incredibly well written for sure. We're glad to have you here!
  3. "That's...understandable. I guess when you can see everything, you think you're obviously the best one to rule the world." Bookwyrm helped Eof up. "Come on. We're going to find your family. Then we're going to stop Foe once and for all."
  4. Bookwyrm smiled as he watched the two spar. They found each other at just the right time, he thought to himself. They've been able to support each other through the grief of losing Wizard. Bookwyrm paused. And yet you're the one who's strangely obsessed with bringing him back, part of him said. Why can't you let go? Why aren't you moving on in the way they're able to? You've let Wizard's death hurt you more than you intended.
  5. Bookwyrm stood, blinking. Then he turned to Eof. "Why'd you turn evil for the longest time, then? Or did you only seem evil, from the perspective of those who didn't have your vision?" At the back of his mind, Bookwyrm told himself that his next order of business would be to reunite Eof with Esmeralda and his older children, so that he would better be able to fight Foe.
  6. Welcome to the Shard! ...Just a suggestion, but you might want to get around to reading what you haven't so far...
  7. Bookwyrm said that this would be appreciated.
  8. Bookwyrm sits down to watch, slowly regaining energy.
  9. Bookwyrm appeared in front of Calano and Emma, looking fatigued. "Hello," he said tiredly, then paused. "Oh, you're in the middle of training."
  10. Meanwhile, far away, Bookwyrm stumbled out of the museum. Several alarms were going off, and panicked squawks came from the burning and ruined portions. The wounds across his body healed, thanks to Stormlight and a few other abilities. Bookwyrm held the severed foot of a jackalope in his hand. With a short spell, the talisman vanished in a flash of light. The energy from the spell cured Bookwyrm of his curse. "That feels much better," he said as he removed his Chromium metalminds. He then created a portal that would take him back to the Clinic. Time to start researching.
  11. Teach the horse that humans are tasty and starve it beforehand. When falling the wrong way.
  12. Bookwyrm stood on the top of a hill, overlooking a museum run by chickens. Then he Lashed himself into the fray. Time to get rid of this curse.
  13. Astrym Calendar 1054 Holy Year 0005 Research as continued into the applications of a new metal known as Adamantium. Technological progress has been made with this metal, and we shall continue researching it. Fearing invasion from other kingdoms, we have also begun a military program using our magic and technology to ensure that our kingdom is protected from outside threats. An alliance has been made with the kingdom of Realmingsburg. We have decided to send an emissary to help create a more secure alliance, and to negotiate further terms, so both of us can benefit. We have heard that a mishap with the usage of magic on the island known as Vandora. We are sending a team of specialists to see if we can do anything to solve the problem, and provide a relief effort for the people who live there. The Republic of Astrym continues to research their Adamantium technology, and has begun training a stronger military armed with magic and Adamantium. They send an emissary to Realmingsburg to secure their alliance. Hearing of the troubles in the Commune of Vandora, Astrym sends a team of specialists armed with magic and Adamantium to try to help with the problem and provide a relief effort to the people there.
  14. Bookwyrm stood there, thinking for a moment. Then he walked over to Calano and Emma." "I have questions. Questions about your shared past. But now's not the time." He turned and looked at nothing, staring off into space. "He still exists. Somewhere. I'm going to find him, and see if I can bring him back. If not, then at least I'd have tried." Bookwyrm turned to look at the two of them. "None of us hold the blame for his death. I don't know if I can convince you otherwise, but both of you, listen to me now. "He would not blame you for his death." Bookwyrm stood up and summoned a portal, which warped the air around it and glowed with a faint blue light. "Let me know if you need my help. I have something I need to take care of." Then he stepped through, and the distortion in the air vanished.
  15. Yisten stood with the rest of the Cadets, a surprising number of which had come in late. Don't they realize how important this all is? They were training to join the fight for humanity itself. Why were they showing up late? When the Captain detailed exactly what they'd be doing, Yisten wasn't sure how to feel. On one hand, it seemed simple. On the other, he guessed it would probably feel far worse than what he was thinking when it was over. Either way, when the Captain blew the whistle, he started running.
  16. Bookwyrm heard the voice in Calano's head. He summoned powers, powers he didn't fully know he had or understood, and sent a single command to the source of the voice. "Leave." He released the power, and a wave of energy rippled powerfully through the clinic.
  17. Welcome to the Shard! Or, in your wording, the Fellowship...
  18. "I was-" Bookwyrm shook his head. "Nevermind. It's not important."
  19. "Don't tell me that someone is going to give you an ingot of metal and a gemstone and tell you to make them your own," Bookwyrm said.
  20. I'm a tiny bit late, but welcome to the Shard!
  21. Bookwyrm appeared next to Eof. "Do you know my part of the prophecy?" he asked. "No one has told me yet."
  22. But they were taunting him with it and not letting him eat any.
  23. Which was why he was angry at the ninjas for stealing it.
