"Seriously, though, why is there an Inkling?" Bookwyrm turned to Telrao [@Ookla the Floofy]. "Let me know if I can do anything."

To scorpions, lobsters are mermaids. To your stomach, all potatoes are mashed. I'm trying to think of things that I actually thought of in the shower...I usually have religious/spiritual realizations, existential crises, and ponderings on the nature of the universe and existence itself. I just can't remember any of them.

The air shifted suddenly and Bookwyrm reappeared. "Sorry about that," he said. "I just...Why is there an Inkling?"

The Battle for the Sandwich
The Bookwyrm replied to AltonicKeys's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff

The Battle for the Sandwich
The Bookwyrm replied to AltonicKeys's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Because asteroid fields are very very very spaced out (pun not intended) I can only see one asteroid with the naked eye. It is obviously the one you are hiding behind. I explode it and steal the sandwich as your ship spirals out of control. Edit: I will have an astronomy rant about reverse black holes later, if you would like.- 13683 replies

The Battle for the Sandwich
The Bookwyrm replied to AltonicKeys's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I discover the unknown portion of space-time, making it a known portion of space-time, then open a wormhole there, fly through, steal the sandwich, then fall into a supermassive black hole.- 13683 replies

TELL ME! TELL ME SILHOUETTE, IT'S BEEN BOTHERING ME! HOW DOES THE CODE WORK!? I can agree with this. Elf has a tall person personality. I am a solid 5'9'', and our good friend @InfiniteInsanity loves to tease me about being tall.

'Twas naught but a poke vote. I didn't realize you had also voted him. And if someone did move my vote...hm... Now that we actually have some information, though, I would like to vote more seriously... *** Myhar jumped as the sound of a blaster reverberated through the cantina. He turned to look right as Szeth slumped over, dead. What was that? He'd been lost in his own thoughts, and hadn't noticed the conversation spiraling. He nervously fingered the small blaster pistol strapped to his leg beneath his poncho. Then pulled it away. It seemed as though the danger was over, but he didn't want to be caught unawares in the middle of a firefight. Though he assumed it wouldn't come to that. He stood up and moved to another table to get closer to where the conversation was happening. He didn't say anything himself, not yet, but wanted to hear when anyone else said anything. Then again, the Sith could just as easily be out an about in the town, he thought. No way of really knowing; especially with the comms down. He pulled out a datapad that linked to several of his moisture probes. They had stopped relaying data; the comms blackout affected his scientific equipment, too. Great. It looked like he wouldn't get any work done until this problem was solved. He put the datapad back in it's pouch at his belt and leaned back into his seat, watching those at the bar carefully.- 708 replies

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin Bookwyrm briefly expanded his senses into the surroundings, then into the future. "I actually think we're fine, for now. I'm not sensing anything else." He stood and held a hand out to Insa to help her up. "Let's go see if there are any survivors." -
The Battle for the Sandwich
The Bookwyrm replied to AltonicKeys's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
The Bookwyrm appeared from a random disappearance and woke up. He saw the rocket flying to the moon. "Did the Artemis program continue without me?" he asked. "Also, if time travel broke, how are we still continually progressing towards the future?" Then he went back to sleep. For about five seconds. Then he woke up again and went to go find another rocket to chase after Sequence and get the sandwich.- 13683 replies

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin Bookwyrm walked over to Insa and sat down beside her. "I'm not quite sure," he said. "Whatever it was, it was corrupted by Kaos. It once was something natural, probably from another world. But now..." he sighed. "We'll have to keep our guard up." Bookwyrm looked over at Insa. "Are you doing okay?" he asked, concerned. -

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin The Ember hissed with a strange sound as Insa's sparks hit. Steam poured from a few cracks in its solid portions. As it spun to attack her, Bookwyrm threw out his hands and took control of it with his mind. The Ember was made of fire, on the inside. That was the core of its being. But there was something else....something that had corrupted it, morphed it, changed it beyond what it should have been. Bookwyrm, using his various abilities, began to drain the fire from the Ember. It wailed with a strange noise and slowly dissipated. The ash and stone that formed it's physical body fell to the ground, lifeless. A strange tendril of red energy hung in the air once the fire was gone. Then it vanished. Bookwyrm released his magic. "Well," he said. "I guess that takes care of that..." @InfiniteInsanity -
Mid-Range Game 61: Shadows and Dust

Okay, I'm late to the party because I was busy watching Andor all of yesterday and busy being sick all of today. Um....no one is being really suspicious as of yet...we'll poke vote Ookla the Debonair/Silhouette because he doesn't have a poke vote yet. And because we all like poke voting people today, it seems. *** Myhar Impay stood in the streets of Dreshdae, looking up at the bleak sky above. It's dry, ruddy color seemed to permeate every aspect of his life. How long has it been since I've seen a blue sky...? Myhar wondered to himself. A cool wind blew across the town, though it held little moisture. You couldn't study a planet for as long as Myhar had and not notice the weird things about it. Korriban was a desolate wasteland, for the most part; the few lifeforms that flourished were either incredibly resilient, or ferociously violent. Usually both. Three of the world's seven moons hung in the sky above him, lit by the distant sun, Horuset. That was one of the nice things about Korriban; plenty to look at in the sky. It was one of Myhar's favorite things about the otherwise hostile planet. Yes, it had certainly grown on him, and the people of Dreshdae even more than the planet itself. But he still longed to leave, study more exotic worlds. The moons of Endor, perhaps, or the trenches on Mon Cala. He'd heard of a remote planet called Bogano that had a vibrant biosphere almost completely uncharted... He shook his head. Maybe after another planetary year; Dreshdae still needed him. Perhaps he could consider leaving after he solved their water crisis, but before that? He needed to help these people. He couldn't just abandon them. Myhar sighed and pulled out his comm to hail one of the local farmers, but for some reason, it wouldn't work. Huh. He tried contacting a few different people; nothing. Myhar frowned. Then he started towards The Drunk Side. He walked into the cantina. Myhar rarely ever came here for his own pleasure; he certainly didn't drink, but because his friends and colleagues did, he would often accompany them for conversation and laughter. And even if he wasn't doing that, The Drunk Side was a good place to gather information, whether from the locals whose tongues were loosed by the alcohol, or from offworlders with secrets to share. After eavesdropping on a few conversations, Myhar settled into a table near the bar to think. A Sith? Here? Then again, of all the places in the galaxy for a rough Jedi to pop up, Korriban was probably the one that made the most sense. Studying the planet's ecology...Myhar could tell something was off about the planet. He could feel it. So, the Sith was causing a town-wide comms blackout. Great. And now people were pointing fingers, trying to figure out who the hidden Sith was. If you really want to help these people right now, he thought, finding the Sith is your best course of action. *** Yes, I looked at the Wookiepedia article for Korriban to help me write that. So what?- 708 replies
