Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
The Origin Sea Bookwyrm stares back, transfixed. Then he smiles. "You certainly have changed, friend. You know a lot more than any of us, now. At least about how all this works." Bookwyrm's smile faded. "My corruption is gone. But I'm still vulnerable. I'm afraid that Kaos might be able to take me over again, if Emma or Insa get a hold of me. What do I need to do, Wizard? What's my part in all this?" -

Bookwyrm's Mind Light flooded the shadows. The tendrils of Darkness screamed as they were seared away, with a calm, warm light replacing them. Bookwyrm's soul was free to re-emerge, and he gained control of himself again. The Origin Sea Bookwyrm gasped and snapped up, jumping to his feet. He hesitated. "Wizard? How'd you get here?" @The Wandering Wizard -
Avi pulled her cloak around herself to protect against the slight chill in the air. She passed other Reapers and Acolytes, many of them smiling or laughing. A peaceful place. Not often synonymous with "the servants of Death" in most people's minds, but Avi didn't care. She walked towards the I'ki housing, for the lowest rank of the Reapers. The tiered building was beautifully designed and quite large, though not the largest in the almost-city of the Reapers' Headquarters. The Reaper standing guard seemed to recognize her, though she'd never seen the Dryad woman before. Her Reaper's cuirass was a floral pink color, which contrasted to an intricate green cloak that wrapped around her shoulders. "Ast'avi", she said kindly. "Your room, now filled with your possessions, is up on the top floor. You'll find your name on the doorway." Avi nodded her thanks and stepped into the entryway of the building, which was filled with I'ki, many of them young, like her. These are your colleagues now, she thought to herself. Whether you like it or not. Avi found an etherium-powered lift and let it take her to the top floor. After a minute of walking around the circular hallway, she found a room marked with her name. Stepping inside, she found a small, cozy room filled with her possessions. A few trinkets and relics decorated a sturdy desk, and a bookshelf along one wall held her personal library. The room wasn't too large, but it certainly wasn't cramped, either. There were plenty of comforts. I could get used to this...

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
The Origin Sea Bookwyrm was only tangentially aware of the change. The tendrils withered in the power of the Light, but their roots in Bookwyrm's own mind gave them shelter. The Shadows of his own Light provided them refuge, and allowed them to grow. He felt the will of something else slowly trying to take him over, overwrite his moral and thoughts. -
...Silhouette, I just came to a realization.
In your "Contact Info", you've put on Skype: "Stop kicking your pathetic elbow."
I've been reading it the entire time as "Stop licking your pathetic elbow."
...I'm not sure how that happened, but it did.

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
The Origin Sea No, Bookwyrm thought as Calano continued to deteriorate. No, no no NO! He slumped to his knees, the liquid light sloshing softly around him. What now? What is there left for me to do? I failed Insa. I failed Calano. I failed Emma. I'm just an observer. A Worldseer. I was never meant to take part in the story, was I? What did I do that changed anything, in the end? The tendrils fueled his thoughts, growing stronger even amongst the Light. They were too deep rooted; affecting his mind and emotion. The purest part of his soul retreated, leaving his mind to the corruption. To Kaos. @The Wandering Wizard -
"I'm going to go find my new quarters," Avi said. "As from there...I guess I can meet you in the mess hall for dinner?"

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Island on a Distant World A vision of Allsight struck Bookwyrm. Darkness. A dimension falling. Bookwyrm turned just in time to see Calano collapse. "Scud." Bookwyrm ran over and picked Calano up. Briefly, the tendrils of darkness in his mind stirred, causing him to wince. The Prison is breaking. Bookwyrm put Calano's arm around his shoulder and helped him get through the Wyrmhole. Maybe the Light will help him. If not... I don't know what I'm going to do. The Origin Sea Bookwyrm stepped onto an island in the midst of a gleaming white ocean. There was no sky above; just a ceiling of stone, miles above. It was covered in a mass of greenery, a biological forest hanging from the ceiling of a cavern that took up half the planet. The island they were on was fairly small, but it too had green grass and a few trees. What kind of an ecosystem does this Light support? The scientific part of Bookwyrm's mind stirred, interested. It must be huge if it takes up half the planet... Indeed, the horizon around them showed no sign of any wall or supporting pillar. The cavern was so huge that even clouds drifted between the surface and the ceiling. He shoved the curious part of his mind away. No time for that now. Bookwyrm slowly led Calano towards the shore of the island, then, hesitating briefly, stepped into the liquid Light, bringing Calano with him. @The Wandering Wizard -
Here is a message for Haly. "Hello, Haly. It's weird to think that somehow the information in this message will reach you, even if my unconventional means, and even if by several different mediums. - The Bookwyrm." Yes, I'm a weirdo. Yes, you can tell her that too. ...I don't know what the point of any of this post was. But it exists now.

Who LOVES The Legend of Zelda!
The Bookwyrm replied to Ironwill2112's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I'm kind of late but this happened to some of my siblings. -
Avi listened to the conversation with half an ear. Now that she was well enough to walk around without too much pain or exhaustion, she kind of wanted to find her new quarters in the dormitories for full Reapers. Her few possessions would have been transferred, theoretically. Then again, she should probably stick around for at least a little bit and find out more about her first assignment. This is your life now. Until you're strong enough, and respected enough, to go and complete your own task, Death is your master. They always will be. Avi wasn't sad about this fact. But she did have her own goal. And she needed to work before that point.

Island on a Distant World Bookwyrm nodded. "It really is." They landed at the perimeter of the camp, and the two soldiers standing guard let them in immediately. Not a second after they entered, and Revli ran up to them. "Something's happening," she said. "The Prison dimension is weakening considerably by strides. Skeletal armies are assaulting some vital worlds, and the agents of Kaos we're used to fighting have gotten more powerful. What's happening?" "Kaos is close to escaping, yes," Bookwyrm said. "A coordinated attack that was run by it's most powerful Corrupted. We need to get to the Origin." Revil nodded, which surprised Bookwyrm. "Whatever you need," she said. She pulled out a small device, like a phone, and tapped it a few times. A mental coordinate appeared in Bookwyrm's mind. "The Origin is in this universe, about 9.8 billion light years from where we are now. The coordinates you just received will lead you right to it." Bookwyrm nodded his thanks. "Anything else we can help with?" "Just do what needs to be done. We can defend our own." Bookwyrm opened another Wyrmhole, one leading towards the Origin. @Being of Cacophony -

You have absolutely no idea what has happened in 2000+ pages. Entire plotlines have risen and fallen. I've only been here since page 1760 and it's still drastically different.- 111832 replies

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Island on a Distant World The Wyrmhole deposited them on the mountaintop, same as before. It was nighttime, with the angled view of the galaxy splayed above, and the two moons rising in the east. Or maybe west. He didn't know which way this planet spun. Bookwyrm looked down at the lagoon, where he saw an encampment of Lightbringers; there were two more of the hovercraft-vehicles and some fortifications, along with a lot more soldiers. Bookwyrm, rather than hiking all the way down, grabbed Calano and Platypus by their arms and Lashed them through the air towards the Lightbringer camp. @CalanoCorvus @Being of Cacophony
