I feel shallans problem is the fact that she’s part of a trio of main characters (one leads, one fights, one spies) with the other two having what they do be a massive part of themselves, while shallans main part is almost like an add on. Kinda like her chapters in tWoK and RoW. She easily gets distracted and accidentally falls into the perfect situations. However shallan does gets interesting when she is doing the infiltration herself (not vail) IMO. RoW shallan withers up and is forced to grow or die. (Hardest book for me to read on shallan due to it going nowhere for so long) I hope her story is more interesting in book 5 because she is finally determined

Perhaps one thing to also take into account is the lighter gravity on roshar

Well what is a spren? You’ll have to answer that to find your answer. Something with a soul? The everything has a spren. Well maybe not aluminum. Something we can see? Then only the spren that we have/can seen/see really count. Tho new spren can be created, soo it’s limitless
-
Can you give a quick summary or at least a link to what you mean? This seems like a really interesting question
-
Aluminum was rare before we found out how to make it. Just like purple dye

Honor metal burn: see connections Spike:steals bond Store: bonds (idk) cultivation metal burn: let’s you see a negative aspect of a person Spike: steal discernment (?) Store: growth odium metal burn: push/pull investiture spike: steals passion store: emotions That’s all I have for now tho I think it’ll be ineffective as a spike/storage due to the nature of invested metals

Oops sorry -
I’m not saying it’s ideal just better, also it just better to dodge the cannon, tho we don’t know the force the listeners slings had. They threw rocks the size of heads at the shardbearers
-
One I’m not saying the blade stops the ball I’m saying that the cannon ball hits you with the full initial impact but then transfer the rest of the momentum to the sides like a bullet ricochet. not best scenario but certainly better the being hit and pushed by the cannon
-
Oh they would hit the bearer but the halfs should bounce away in a movie like way. Damage yes but a whole lot less follow through
-
I think the difference is like hitting water and hitting concrete one moves away after the initial hit and the other stays firm
-
Hmm slider seems useful
-
then maybe it better for the nonradiant shardbearer to cut the cannon ball if they can. That way the ball bounces and the energy is dispersed better

Still something to consider especially sense as far as we know he didn’t even have plate

Wouldn’t we look at renarin for this one? In oathbringer battle of thylen city he got smashed by a giant rock monster. But 1)healed so fast it didn’t matter 2) was in good enough shape to fight effectively almost immediately

Moash, Kaladin, and a redemption arc noone wants.

If art’s subjective and a picture is a thousand words that means words are subjective. So I can interpret your words as I wish as long as I don’t go beyond them. so from your words you hate Brandon and fancy kaladin and kaladin has no choice in the matter because you said he’s gay. (In all honesty I think I’m gaining joy from annoying/twisting peoples words. -

Moash, Kaladin, and a redemption arc noone wants.
Rg2045 replied to Thaidakar the Ghostblood's topic in Stormlight Archive
One moash might be gay. Where as you haven’t proved that kaladin is. Sure kaladin was always sad but I think it’s a compound of his depression and the fact that moash was not saved, is still alive, fighting for the enemy, AND is constantly reappearing reminding kaladin of his failure. Now that kaladin is better, not healed, he should be able to focus on the ones he can save and not on the ones he can’t save @Thaidakar the Ghostblood also your wrong kaladin is more traditional I think Brandon has said. Even bridge 4 thought he was being too stern with the bridge 4 member that is gay(is it drehy?) -
Also deadplate shapes slowly in the ideal of the wearer over time not as fast as living obviously but after a generation shardplate should be great

But, why. Why post this? How does this even make sense. please, please explain yourself -
Now I love the idea of perpetual motion and it took me a wile to read all the comments and theories, and I got confused half way and decided to just place my question/comment here. wouldn’t it fail no matter what by destroying 1) the gemstones 2) the device holding it? Maybe it could work in theory but in practice their is many variables that make infinite energy near impossible (it’ll happen one day one day)
