  1. Idk why but when I first read it I thought it said “moash is the grimreaper of roshar” and started thinking about different points you’ll make. And started to make it semi poetic, lol. anyways to your actual topic, it’s an interesting thought and make you wonder if the nightwatcher and the deathrattles got conflated into 1
  2. Maybe they can alter their own looks with ishars guidance?
  3. So I was listening to shardcast (a recent event) and they were theorizing about why the tukari were Shrouded in shadow no matter the angle. and so a theory popped into my head, what if the tukari are not completely in the CR? so this theory hinges on two ideas. 1: that ishar didn’t know he could make a perpendicularly until Dalinar made one 2: that ishar can Connect people to the CR like he could Connect spren to the PR so the main theory is that he is connecting about 90-95% of the person and supplies they use to the CR to easily transport between realms, and once they come back to a meeting place, he goes over himself and pulls everyone back to the PR. what’s your thoughts? Do you think ishar used a perpendicularly before his meeting with Dalinar?
  4. I think the radiants were such a prevalent part of society that people could swear up to the third ideal pretty quickly, something on the coppermind mentions the bondsmiths squires went their whole life’s without bonding a spren but if they did they would have been a 5th ideal radiant.
  5. More at the end, when he was dominating the fused. I think a defining moment between kaladins soldierness and Dalinar being a warrior. Is that kaladin has a harder time fighting without back up. He’s good with team work but when he was outnumbered he was constantly in a panic it seems. Trying not to Be overwhelmed. where as when Dalinar who it seems was constantly being surrounded and was constantly being outnumbered, still dominated the battlefield it’s a difference in styles ultimately
  6. A soldier will follow orders, polish his spear and will do whatever he is commanded to do. Ordered to go on patrol? Of course! ordered to fight bandits? Part of the job. ordered to help bridges be built? Well I work for the crown. basically be a soldier is a job. We only think of the fighting part but it’s much more then that. a warrior is someone that is essentially a skilled killer. Dalinar in his youth is a warrior. His “guards” are people that can “keep up” with him. he runs through literal flames to attack a flank. He doesn’t do combat in a traditional sense, literally hitting the hardest parts to just to make the other person lose footing so that he can kill them. He chases the leaders tO the top of a mountain and fights a deadly duel instead of surrounding them. He doesn’t fight in a team. He fights by himself and dominates his competitors. so wile kaladin is a soldier that protects, Dalinar is a savage warrior that will do anything to win.
  7. What if gavilar killed szeth? what if gavilar told navani what he was doing? what if adolin didn’t kill sadeas? what if the recreance never happened?
  8. Exactly my thoughts. On each of my rereads I keep wanting to punch myself in the face because Dalinar doesn’t bond the honor blade. To quote the man. “With so many shards around i thought I might as well have one.” Also thematically it would be amazing, the honorblade of the man that was considered the greatest man alive? anyways I think Dalinar would be tempted to return to being the blackthorn
  9. And it was before RoW when everyone thought he was kaladin but on the singer side(and in a way he is, Just odium is literally the embodiment of passionate hate so moash is kinda how kaladin would have been if he fallen)
  10. “Reborn” I’m in audible so it’s about 9 mins in (it’s a 12 min chapter so 3/4 through it) lirin is making comments about the shardplate, How it doesn’t feel like anything, how it’s present but not intrusive. How it’s there but can be invisible with only an outline. This is said both wile the shards are fully up and wile they are invisible. So yeah I finally found the point I wanted to find
  11. The slow down of time really is an unique feeling. Where you see everything and can think in such a way that you almost wish you could always be “in the zone”
  12. Maybe with their current understanding, maybe they can leave a sphere there? Like shallan with her illusions
  13. But they don’t have to touch the mistborn and can easily move around them
  14. Another though. Reverse lashes I feel are not being used properly in fights. How would a mistborn do if one arm is pulled to the right and the other to the left? What if it’s pulled so much their arm gets ripped off?
  15. Have to go with bondsmith, windrunner, stonewared of the fifth ideal. Possibly elsecaller. I’m assuming that we are using the best of the best of each order/magic user so I can’t see anyone beating tahl in a fight. Ishar might even be able to take people powers away, and it known for doing things that’s thought to be impossible. windrunners for the most part are able to run anyway and have abilities to literally rip apart. Can use them to take metals away to throw people off with different reverse lashes. Idk if kaladin is the best one to represents the windrunners, I want to believe that jezrien would be the best option and can honestly see him being able to pull advance reverse lashings to literally pull a person apart. elsecallers idk about, jasnah is fairly competent with her abilities, but I wouldn’t say she’s the best. In fact I think she’s far from it. So I won’t say how they would win but I’m sure they can do attacks from the CR and that’s where a lot of the people are lacking defense from. The problem with knowing the heralds abilities is that we have only seen glimpses of them. Ishar who casually calls for a challenge to Dalinar while 5 people try to kill him, and he’s average in comparison to talh who is said to be leagues above even the other heralds in combat ability. The windrunners are contenders for the best combat oriented order so you can assume that jezrien was at least top 3. And we haven’t see the full scope of any of the abilities. So it’s easy to underestimate elsecallers as well.
  16. Honestly I can’t see urithiru the ship ever being taken down, it’ll literally too massive and will definitely have the capacity to fuel an spacefaring civilization especially with how big the Plato’s are. Being able to just teleport Ships directly into space? Just amazing if you ask me. I think the sibling would have to be convinced definitely. Maybe the prospect of seeing new lands and new fabrials?
  17. I’m not saying it was a ship, I’m saying that urithiru will become a ship in the future, sorta like a mothership. also I think the way to take spren off world is though the physical realm, as it seems their is no gravity pulling them back to roshar as in the CR (how I think that works is that in the CR it’s saying no you need to be here, whereas the physical realm already has their laws)
  18. So this theory is about urithiru. so the theory was bouncing in my head on possible ways to take a bondsmith off planet, as we know bondsmiths are as op as the cosmer allows, and it’ll be useful to have access to them on more the three planets at most. So the theory hit me, urithiru would be perfect to transform into a massive mother ship. within the books it talks about how the sibling is the metal not the stone in the tower, using the stone to build upon the massive city. So my thought was why not put it on a ship and fly off roshar, maybe just cutting the mountain off and flying that(not the most cost effective but it could work) now the only problem I can see is a lack of towerlight but I see it more as a non issue because of the bondsmiths abilities to, what? Open perpendicularities. They literally have near infinite light. But what if the Bondsmith dies? Oh that’s easy. In the honor spren fortress their is a large container to store stormlight, I’m sure one can be made to hold towerlight, so that the sibling has plenty of time to choose the next bondsmith. so what’s yalls thoughts? Ideas? How would rosharin space craft look like? And how much easier/harder do you think it is to make them?
  19. Alethela, the country that is the watcher at the rim. Who learn war to better protect the world when the voidbringers return. Within this country is a book. An important book that every officer has to read. But why? lets look at two people that suffer from the same affliction especially when you look back. Moash and Amaram. exhibit 1: Amaram Let’s look at past interactions with the light of RoW to see what’s happening in the background. (Also SA5 Prologue in spoiler section) We know after kaladin gained his first pair of shards Amaram betrayed and killed kaladins squad. But why? in tWoK after winning his shards kaladin and his remaining squad are in Amarams command tent waiting for Amaram to finish talking to someone. This someone we find out is restaries. The herald Kelek, leader of the sons of honor. we then hear Amaram saying that after hours of discussion he finally agreed to restaries idea to take the shards himself to better serve alethkar. Within this we can see that kaladin himself mentioned that he saw Amarams guilt on his face. And tried to do the most honorable thing in his position and sold him as a slave. after Amarams confrontation with kaladin and Dalinar he starts regretting letting kaladin live. A bit different then during the confrontation, where he looked hurt and guilty but also apologized and said that he did it for alethkar not personal. now in oathbringer we start seeing Amaram descend into a downward spiral. he tries to forge an alliance with Dalinar(who he witnessed burn a city killing everyone in anger) but keeps being shamed by him(for killing four men for literally one of the most powerful weapons in roshar). Being put to physical work in a broken country that every alethi knew would be a perfect, easy, capture. Being contacted by odium with promises of power, and no guilt or anger. exhibit 2: moash not much is really needed to be said in this post about moash. I talked more about Amaram because people don’t seem to want to understand him. Hating him because kaladin hates him. Or at best feeling sad about lost potential. but moash has been debated on and hated on constantly sense WoR we know he’s effected by the unmade losing his negative emotions and feeling a void. (Interesting especially sense it seems positive emotions aren’t effected as far as we know) and it seems he truly wants this. So theirs that. so back to alethela, my theory on this is that people read tWoK not just to make it easier to bond spren, but to help the leaders not to make miss steps, to not act in greed to open themselves to the unmade, as we saw the unmade alone completely wiped out cities, countries, with their advance emotional allomamcy. so what do you think? Was tWoK used as a life style to better live by honor?
  20. I like the kaladin becomes a bondsmith especially sense a lot of the oaths overlap one another, my crack pot theory is that the recreance was caused by the radiants going to war with the people, I’ll post a link to the theory as I posted it not too long ago. another one (I posted before as well) is that the high storm wasn’t always invested as much and didn’t provide storm light before honors death. and another that I’m hoping to post in the near future is that urithiru will become a massive mother ship in era three. Allowing a bondsmith to travel the galaxy.
  21. I know you both know more then me, however I’m only saying what I saw not as an insult, but as an observation. I don’t have a low opinion of either of y’all. In fact I respect both of y’all’s opinions greatly otherwise I wouldn’t go through the trouble of even making this post. so I do apologize if I made either you feel insulted. It definitely wasn’t my intention.
  22. Fair enough but my earlier observation still stands I think
  23. Source? you know you and frustration have the same problem of starting theory as fact. And that’s what’s causes more problems I think
  24. Idk I just know of the WoB that I’m too “at work” to look up
  25. Emotional allomancy doesn’t work on 4th ideal and up because their shard plate act like a copper cloud also for scenario one how reddily access does a mistborn have to chromium on roshar?
