  1. My favorite song from Hamilton: "Wait for it" just hits different.
  2. Also, you know the scene where the thousands of Fremen unsheathe their knives? Fremen culture states that once a crysknife is unsheathed it cannot be sheathed again until it has drawn enemy blood. So every one of those Fremen is going to draw Harkonen blood, or die trying. Knowing that gives the scene so much more power in my (humble) opinion. It's a really well put-together trailer though, I'm so exited. I'm totally going to see the thing on opening night.
  3. I just finished Dune for the first time, and it is SO good. The trailer for Dune part 2 gives me shivers, and the book was a masterpiece. I wish I had time to write a 300 paragraph essay about how good that book was, but I'm a busy man so I'll just say this: Reading Dune is an experience like no other. You don't want to miss that. It's feel is so different from everything I've read before, so different from a Brando sando novel or anything. It was wonderful. 10/10 right there.
  4. Can we talk about Dune please? Holy cow that book's a masterpiece. I won't call it my favorite, but it is definitely worth ranting about, and since I only finished it a little while ago it's the book I can remember right now. 10/10
  5. I don't know if I could physically be more exited for this movie. Part 1 was so freaking good. As for the trailer, the white haired girl who's talking has to be the princess Irulan right?
  6. I'll take these questions one by one: -Bands of Mourning is a wonderful book, so that's a great option. One of my all time favorites for sure. -RoW (as far as I remember) doesn't make anything make that much more sense, the confusion that you run into from Era 2 of Mistborn all comes from complex Cosmere stuff that you kind of just pick up after spending a lot of time in the Cosmere. Then again, a lot of it you don't really need to understand in all its complexity, so I wouldn't worry too much. Still, I also love RoW, so you're welcome to go back to it. Brandon is pretty careful not to let anything spoil other series. -Don't read secret history until you're done with Bands of Mourning, but read it immediately following. I would read it before the Lost Metal if I were you. -You are correct Eleventh Metal is a prequel, read it whenever you desire. -Don't worry too much about Warbreaker and Elantris, although they're both fun reads I also waited until I'd read lots of stuff before diving into those. At the end of the day it's up to you, but you should just read whatever you're feeling is the most fun on the moment!
  7. I'm seeing some mixed reviews here, but I just absolutely loved the book. I thought the theme was nice, the story interesting, and the climax exiting. I really don't see hardly any downsides to this book. It was just so nice, and fun, and awesome. Probably just as good as Tress, or very close. I'm sorry some of y'all didn't have the same experience reading it as me.
  8. I liked the show way more then I am willing to admit, due to my unrivaled manliness. In all factuality though, it was a really good show. The actors were good, and I loved how it didn't try to overdramatize everything like every other show does.
  9. AAaaaaaaaaaaah!! I finally started Forgotten, and it is so freaking good. 2 episodes so far, and I'm hooked.
  10. I agree, I enjoyed both of those books. (Especially Starsight on the re-read.) I'm also going to say that I wish Brandon Sanderson would put less focus on the cytoverse, but that's okay.
  11. Dang, the music here has been really good recently. @Robin Sedai that's a great song.
  12. Octavarium, by dream theater. That song tells a story, and it's just freaking awesome, no questions asked. Yes it's long, but it's an experience! Best 24 minutes of my life.
  13. What a great series, I'm glad you've come across it. I have opinions about certain things, but I'll save those for later. Enjoy your reading!
  14. Those.^ Enough said. (Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 is also on my list, though I'm nervous about that one.)
  15. Hm, how sad. Interesting how some of the symbols changed across eras, that's why I didn't recognize the SoS leather-bound. Awesome stuff though.
  16. So something has been driving me crazy lately, and I don't see a topic for this. What is the allomantic metal on the Shadows of Self leather-bound. I can't find it on the chart, yet I KNOW I've seen it before and it will bother me forever if someone doesn't tell me. I know that the Final Empire leather-bound has Iron (assumedly because it's the metal Vin uses to pull the bands of mourning out of the Lord Ruler's arm) The Well of Ascension leather-bound has Steel, (Probably the most used metal, don't need a reason for this.) And the hero of Ages leather-bound has Tin on the cover. (Cause spook obviously.) But then the Alloy of Law has Pewter, which doesn't make a ton of sense given that there's only like one pewterarm in that book and I don't even remember his name, and I don't recognize the symbol on Shadows of Self leather-bound. So please, help me out here. Also let me be the first to say, the Mistborn leather-bounds, especially the new ones, are gorgeous. Possibly the most beautiful creations known to man. I am so happy I was able to get a signed and numbered one, and I am so exited to get that.
  17. I completely agree here, though I could see Andor as the setup to finding hope, which I think would work for me. I just feel like we need Cassian to actually start caring about something, and right now it feels like he doesn't if that makes sense.
  18. That's heartbreaking. At least we get Loki Season 2 next year though.
  19. The Dark Knight and The Prestige are my favorite CN movies, and both are very interesting—though they feel kind of like opposites in theme. And yes, the man is a genius of sorts.
  20. Yep that was great. Really looking forward to season 2.
  21. The gargantuan baby killer bunny built a castle out of mini m&ms and tasty chickens, but they exploded violently when eaten by Aragorn the Flatulent who was very hungry for someone chubby to eat, thus, Galdor dragons endeavored earnestly to eavesdrop on elastic food that's trying to prey on all evil bunnies but instead are turning illiterate because my unknown schemes.
  22. I morph into a unicorn which also doesn't exist, so abstractly me and Telrao are in the same place. I proceed to confiscate the sandwich. And cast a spell which protects me from monocles. Just in case.
  23. You are all arresting people without following the proper parliamentary procedure. Everyone who was arrested is now free due to my insane lawyer skills. I then obtain an arrest warrant, using probable cause and witness testimony, then I read Wandering Wizard his rights, and send an officer of the law to handcuff him. I take the sandwich and submit it to evidence. Little do the officers know, it was actually one of the decoy sandwiches from Primeval Chaos' transmogrifier, and I take the real sandwich for my own personal connection.
  24. I use selective and borderline magical magnets to pull you down from the sky using the metal in your body. I take the sandwich and escape via the night.
