No... Imagine if Ado was a tree and you pick a small sliver of wood to represent the spren, cut that tree into 16 parts, and the sliver of wood remains the same, but to the casual observer, it's now a sliver of wood from Honor. If you were to do these steps out of order, it would remain the same. Besides, all spren are slivers of Ado because it's the power of Ado you're splitting off anyway.

I lowkey hate LotR; Tolkien is kinda bad at writing. Great worldbuilder, though. Kinda my feelings on WoT... I really had to force myself through book 4. It was such a fever dream...

The investiture was re-assigned to them. Also, once they settled there it cycled through and most native investiture on roshar is Cultivation, Honor, or Odium. Some examples of Ado's investiture probably are still around.

Fair point. In the actual theory I was referring to them as parasites on ado, not in general. Yeah, he's using collective them, but still could mean each aether isn't equal to a shard.

It also just means non-gendered, which ancient beings of investiture could be. Not necessarily; it just needs to cause harm to the host, which draining the water out of them certainly is. Just because both sides benefit doesn't mean it's not parasitic; the water gained might outweigh the investiture expended. sp1 Technically a parasite is in a symbiotic relationship if we go by scientific definition. Symbiosis is just any relationship.

I know it's hard, I've done it myself a couple times (you can make a new post though, especially when you have something cool to say) Honestly, I understand every third word. But basically it's because fused are made voidlight, and anti void light cases them pain.

I'm pretty sure he means like each individual aether isn't as strong as a Shard. The lime between symbiotic and parasitic is very fine. Aethers could get much more out of the bargain and still technically be symbiotic, but I would list them as parasites, not in exact definition but it feels right. Yea this is the biggest issue with my theory, Brandon avoiding the question. We likely won't get the answer for a long time. Or really never.

Pretty much nothing from SA5 (Roshar is for a different post) ; the sp4 spoiler is just a new shard name, I mention the well know 16 vessels and some details of Yolen's worldbuilding (Like how Fain works on Yolen, which comes from DSP), but most of my details come from WOBs or the coppermind. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure on exactly where I got some of the info, but it should be mostly spoiler free. D
