    Quote

Rock held out his arms for an embrace. “Come. Give me farewell.”

Feeling like he was in a trance, Kaladin stood. “Will you return? If you can, after?”

Rock shook his head. “This thing I have done here with all of you, he is the end. When we meet again, I suspect it shall not be in this world. This life.”

Ahhh I was updating Rock’s page with his departure stuff, and it made me so sad. I guess I’ve never really stopped to wonder if Rock really will be executed. Sure, we are getting a Rock novella between RoW and KotW, but still, it could be his death at the end or something similar. Brandon might not, but he might.

  3. 1137 What time of day are you most active on the Shard, and why?
  4. I personally thing it will be less of a big shard-shard conflict, though there might be some of that. Spoilers for Sixth of the Dusk 2 reading:
  5. I think I’d be interested in doing one, on any continent.
  6. Art has been sparse lately, sorry, but I’m back with a little landscape to liven things up. Found some really cool reference pictures to model some landscapes after, definitely didn’t get distracted looking at sunset pictures… anyway I have one for you right now, with another one en route if it turns out well… Clouds are soooo fun
  7. Kiss Taln, marry Jorgen (Sorry Taln, but Jorgen is a sweet cinnamon roll+more my age), and kill Breeze Nedd, Rig, Jorgen
  8. Kiss Raoden, marry Wayne (easy), and kill Wax. MeLaan, Blushweaver, Adolin
  9. Hmm I’m not sure of a least favorite one. Cars 3? XD Ooh Lux, thats fun to see. I thought it was just okay, though thats partially because I’ve done so much coppermind work on it and thus listened to it 8 times. What is something that young-you thought would be fun when you were older, but turned out to be boring/awful?
  10. Hmm I think Ene is my favorite, or Kaymyth. Your favorite non-cosmere book?
  11. @caramel_ is the best Your favorite sharder on the shard?
  12. Vaxation? Idk what joke that is xD Favorite thread on the Shard?
  13. Just finished Reaper, the tenth book in the Cradle series by Will Wight. Finished it today while in English class Rangers Apprentice is sooo good Thaidikar. Reread? Or first time? What annoys you the most?
  14. Saaphir hobbled over, and showed her the messy wound.
  15. “Relatively speaking. I’m not injured ‘real bad’, comparitively, but as far as getting shot in the foot goes, its bad.”
  16. “Hey Grace.” Saaphir called, sliding down the rope and limping over. “Could you use your magic water to heal my foot? It got shot up real bad.”
  17. When you find your old wallet with $50 in it, and your first thought is “I can buy more Sanderson books with this”
  18. Yeah I think doing both at the same time will decrease the quality, its what I’ve been trying the past two months.
  19. Yeah so I’ve ended up in a bit of a pickle. Last year I published a comedy novella, and it was pretty popular among my grade and some other people. (I didn’t try and market it or anything, mostly wrote it for my friends.) I had written it with a pretty big sequel oppurtinity, where a magic artifact the sidekick uses starts to turn him evil, as seen in the epilogue of the book. So here’s the problem: I started on a sequel late last year, around October. It started off pretty slowly, but I got going. Then NaNoWriMo approached, and I decided to start something new for that, and put the novella sequel off until after NaNo. I soon fell in love with the plot/characters of the new NaNo story, as writers are want to do. I wrote 40K of it in November, but then continued with it, and I’m now at 50K. I got bogged down January/February, both with a research paper and general busniess. Now, I want to work on my Nano novel (which is a military epic fantasy, and its only 1/3 done). But 20-odd people are very eager for me to finish the novella sequel. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy writing it, but its going so slow and I’ve hit severe writer’s block with it. I decided to partially co-author my bigger Nano project with my best friend, who’s a aspiring author with some talent and a deep knowledge of the military and guns, where one of my POV’s is based a lot. So he’s writing 1/3 of the future POV’s, which takes some weight off my shoulders. But then the question remains: Should I continue to work on the bigger, more fun military epic, which is at an estimated 50K/140K words? Or should I work on the novella comedy sequel, which is 20k/50k? (Idk if any of that makes sense)
  20. Yes, Chaos, I did remember Theopolis
  21. Is Storms your favorite cosmere curse? What’s your favorite Brandon book? What’s your favorite non-Brandon book? If you could kill any cosmere character, who would it be?
  22. Eyyy nice! I got my own car about a month ago, its fun to stash candy in it I’m extraordinarily happy today, because I got super lucky, I don’t even know how. So when Rhythm of War came out, I bought a copy (unsigned). Now, it was brand new, perfect condition, first printing/first edition. I lent it to my friend when i finished, who I trusted enough with my shiny new hardcover. He takes forever to read it, and returns it to me, severely damaged (Painful to look at). He said he’d buy me a new one but never did. Last week I got tired of waiting and just bought a new one. I was bummed since the new one wouldn’t be a first printing like the damaged one. But the new copy came in from amazon and IT WAS FIRST PRINTING? What? I have no idea how, since RoW is on at least the 5th printing now. I can’t even figure out how it could be that I ended up with a first printing from amazon. It was 50% off too, so I got a book that’s worth $50-60 bucks for $17. As a semi-serious collector, it made me very happy.
