Szeth Pancakes

Allera spread their wings and blew a huge jet of fire at the assassin and away from Variance.

Allera snapped out of it. Brute force wasn’t going to work, then. Maybe… They jumped in front of Variance, cawing.

“Hells!” Allera’s eyes widened, and they stepped back, breathing hard.

Allera lunged for the woman, angling their palm towards her, then let loose another blast.

Allera stood frozen for a moment, then blasted a jet of flame at the woman’s chest.

Allera screamed.

"'Friend' doesn't quite mean the same thing when you're a wanted thief. Also--"

"Why do you think?"

"Tell Allera that if they ever need anything, I'm here." Kerin winked and walked out of the spaceship. As soon as they were gone, Allera opened the hatch, taking a deep breath. "Five Gales. Okay. That's over."

Kerin nodded.

"If you say so." Kerin shrugged. "Are you going to be okay?"

Same. I can't imagine living somewhere like Florida right now

Hoid crossed his arms stubbornly.

Some of it, yeah. TPBM has a pet currently sitting with them.

The new one’s In the Heights, I think.

Kerin turned to Ayia. “That’ll be two hundred sixty ilak. Free, if you tell me where Allera is.” @Channelknight Fadran

Kerin nodded. “This should be rather simple, then. Every day for the next month, you’ll need to sit between these stones for around twenty minutes. They should imbue you with enough Perception magic to last you through the day. Hopefully, you’ll become less dependent on it as time goes by, but without knowing more details of your curse, it’s hard to tell. “After a month, if you still need them, come back here and we can figure out a more permanent solution.”

“Hm. Was your mind the only thing confined to the planet?”

“I’m Kerin. A curse specialist. An… associate of Allera’s. “Now that you’re awake, can you tell me about your curse? Any details you know that might be important.”

Kerin put their finger through Variance’s forehead. “Hm. Well, at least you’re awake.”

Kerin took a canister filled with bright blue liquid from their bag, then daubed some of it on the rocks. “This should help. It’ll imbue your friend with extra Perception, which, if I’m right, will make them tangible again.” The rocks and the space between them began to glow, illuminating Variance’s face in purple light.

“…Thank you.” Kerin looked down at Variance. “Oh dear. Let’s see.” They touched their claw to his forehead, and it passed through. “…Perception…” they mumbled, taking out two purple rocks from their kit and placing them to either side of Variance’s head.
