Me, the English speaking American, is currently listening to music in Korean while doing homework in Spanish. This is interesting lol.
A friend recommended some k-pop so I thought I'd try it out! It's pretty good so far

Does anybody else feel like they're super high functioning on the outside, but an absolute mess on the inside.
Like why would I sleep when I could be watching a movie. Which is dumb but I still do it.
Or deliberately procrastinating homework that is due literally tomorrow.
I get mad at myself and then I don't fix it and it just keeps going. Ugh. I'll figure life out eventually

I went in a tour of BYU campus today with my friends from school!! It was pretty awesome
That's definitely where I want to go to school

Alright. Here's the deal
1. I am getting 2 pigs!
2. They are both girls
3. As they are pigs, they deserve wonderful names that are either very French or very German bc that's amazing
4. They are sisters so their names must sound good together
5. The current frontrunners for names are Hilda and Helga or Brunhilde and Gertrude.
6. I need suggestions!!! Whoever comes up with the best name/names for the pigs wins 5 million imaginary bacon points! And also there will be cute pig pictures when they arrive!!
Do what you will

1. Augustine (“venerable”) and Aubrey (“elf ruler”) ~both French~
I like these two because they start with the same letter and could have the nicknames August and Bree if desired.
2. Emery (“industrious”) and Elise (“pledged to God”) ~One German one French~
I just think they have a nice ring to it. I mean Emmie and Ellie are nickname options I suppose.
3. Luise (“famous warrior”) and Lucie (“light”) ~One German and one French~
They just seem so cute to me
Others not in the German or French category:
Katniss and Primrose - THE HUNGER GAMES!!!
Dilly and Dally - Cute in my opinion
Honey and Sugar - Sweet huh?
Regina and Cady - And none for Gretchen Weiners bye-
Midnight and Midday - I like it, dunno about you
Ebony and Ivory - hmm???
Peaches and Cream - I just love it!
June and July - So cute!!!
You came to the right woman. Hope that helped! I love names

YOU GUYS
I THINK I MIGHT BE GOING TO PERU
Does anyone know what the IB Diploma Program is? Bc I'm doing that for school and one of the requirements is a CAS (creativity, activity, service) project that's like a crazy in depth and long senior project.
And my friends in the program and I decided to go abroad for ours!! We're planning on Peru in June and I'm so crazy excited!! My parents haven't officially said I can go yet but they probably will and it's going to be awesome.
We'll be doing some service and some sightseeing, including Machu Pichu!!!
I've never even been to the other side of the US before and I'm so happy!!
Any sharders in Peru?

Vin! This one I don't have a good photo of but there's metal vials and things
Spensa!!
Marasi!! (Me) I also have a rifle but we don't have any good pictures with it
Wayne!
Steris!
And finally... Szeth Son Son Vallano, Truthless of Shinovar!!! (With obligatory facepalm)

Y'all... I love math. Math is fun. However today's math class absolutely melted my brain into goo.
Friggin eigenvectors and eigenvalues. We spent the entire 75-minute class period doing one problem from the book. 1!!!!! We didn't even get to today's assignment so my teacher had to push everything back a day!!
It was kinda fun but also sooooooo confusing. And just generally not great for my higher brain functions. I went to English afterwards to write a body paragraph for my literary analysis that I'm actually excited about and I got 2 sentences before all coherent thoughts just left

not great.
But hey! It was kinda fun to learn about it!

I loooove math but also refuse to do any career in a math field
not sure really why, that's just how my brain decides it would be lol. We're still on this unit but it's better now! The first days as just rough because the concept was weird and my teacher had to figure out how to teach it! It's much less confusing now though!

You guys... my parents just told me that I'm going to be taking a taekwondo test in a couple of weeks (to level up to 2nd degree black belt). The issues with this:
- I've kinda been hating taekwondo lately and I don't get a choice about doing this
- We've been going super inconsistently so I'm unprepared
- It's RIGHT AFTER A DAY LONG TAEKWONDO TOURNAMENT THAT I'M ALSO BEING FORCED TO GO TO. So that's a whole Saturday gone which is an issue because
- I have lots of homework for the fancy school program I'm doing. It's kinda like college classes; no work done in class, just lectures. Everything is homework
- I need to have $200 and a 2 page essay by this Saturday EVEN THOUGH I HAVE LIKE 8 HOURS OF HOMEWORK ALREADY
- I'm stressed. And tired. And I don't think my history teacher can grade things properly which is a problem
In short, this sucks and I'm super stressed
-
Hey it’s okay. We are here for you if you need anything. I am absolutely dead serious. Please PM if you need anything, to vent, advice, affirmation, or maybe help with some fancy class homework thinga-ma-jig. We can figure it out together. You’re not alone in this. We will carry this together. You got this.

I’m so sorry Morningtide. Being forced into things you don’t want is horrible. Keep breathing. We’re all here to listen to whatever you need to say, and we care. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep and food. You can’t get anything done if your physical needs aren’t met. Like Panda said, you got this.

Do y'all know those books that are just... melancholy? They feel like homesickness, like a memory, like an echo. They aren't sad, that's not what I'm saying. They just hit on a completely different level.
There's this yearning to them and a desperate sort of longing that you feel when you read them, especially as you finish them. Each book feels like a collection of Moments and you connect with them on an incredibly personal level.
I feel like these books would be different for everyone, but for me it's The Raven Cycle, The Scorpio Races, parts of Words of Radiance, Piranesi, and Ender's Shadow.
I recently saw a thing about liminal spaces and for some reason these books feel like liminal spaces. I don't have a clue why.
I just wondered if anyone could relate
-
Interesting. I think whenever I happen to pick up a Harry Potter book, I kind of get that weird feeling. They are connected to my past, since for a while I was pretty obsessed with the whole world of it and knew a lot of trivia and such. Now... I'm not the same person. That's something I'm coming to realize about myself now vs. how I was a few years ago. And so seeing the vaguely familiar words and sentences now just feels a little off.

I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday with my birthday gift cards! I got 3 books and put several on a list.
The first one I got was The Atlas Six, which I read last week and absolutely LOVED. It's very good dark academia.
The second was Piranesi, which I also read last week and adored. I don't even know how to describe this one but every single person should read it. It's wonderful.
The third was The Brothers Hawthorne, which is a companion to the Inheritance Games series, which was great. It just came out yesterday and I'm excited to read it!

I friggin love thunderstorms. They're the absolute best type of weather.
It's absolutely pouring here and there's some impressive thunder. It's amazing
-
I GOT A SKIRT TODAY!!!
it's the first skirt I've ever had that is long enough to touch the ground and still fit right around my waist!! I'm so happy!!!!
-
Hello fellow humans!!!
I've been at FSY this past week and it was officially the best week of my life. If you ever have the opportunity to go, you absolutely should!
In other news, I have finally seen Across the Spider-verse and I looooove it!!! Stellar sequel in every way and I can't wait for #3!
I got the hardcover Skyward Novella collection for my birthday!
-
Writers camp day one complete! On to day two!!
I'm currently sitting in front of a guy in the process of explaining the full story and lore of the Cosmere to his friend. It's an impressive undertaking
-
Also!!! Sorry for the second SU. You all need to read Vicious by V. E. Schwab!! It's utterly fantastic and very cool. All characters are somewhere in the morally grey range and also superpowers! Both good things.
Yumi and the Nightmare Painter is also crazy good and honestly super adorable
. So far it's my favorite secret project.

Anyway, have a good week everybody!! You are amazing and I hope you have fun
