  1. Calling it now maybe 10-20 years in advance but inb4 there's a character in a book named Sander and his son is mentioned in a similar context.
  2. I found out today that there's a B&N an hour away from me but NO that's too far to drive so I'm hoping Books a Million has it before class tomorrow or else I'll just have to keep reading an e-copy all day. I just want my physical book already, gosh. Look Brandon, I literally live under the poverty standard but I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU MY MONEY ALREADY. ;_;
  3. I completely forgot Kaladin dueling Adolin could be a thing. Man, Adolin is gonna get wrecked.
  4. US, Florida, Northwest "redneck" part.
  5. Hoid could have world-specific apprentices or teach some certain ones about the Cosmere. After all, somebody is teaching the 17th Sharders so Hoid would probably teach some of his own people.
  6. Only a year and a half. You lucky child.
  7. Nah, Sanderson isn't the type to give out false info. What he does do is give out so much info during interviews and Q&As and signings and the like that there's no way to remember everything. Seriously, we could fill an entire novel with what we know purely from non-book Word of God and we're maybe what, 15% into the Cosmere or not even that. TWENTY MORE YEARS OF THIS. WHEN WILL WE CRACK
  8. Gotta be a female viewpoint so gonna guess the obvious Jasnah or Shallan.
  9. I feel like the only sparring between Kaladin and Shallan would be bedroom PvP.
  10. Eesh, I was hoping I could get it for $20. I'd like to own the hardcover but I'm legitimately poor and I may as well find an e-copy sometime soon, then pick the book up once it decreases in price sometime. Blech.
  11. Now this all makes me wonder about the chronology even more. There is around ~300something years between Mistborn trilogy and Alloy, and iirc, Alloy and its future book(s) (if we get more than Shadows) takes place around the same time as Way of Kings (and I'm assuming the general time frame of the first SA half), so now I have to wonder will the gap between Arcs 1 and 2 be massive (hundreds of years) and if modern Mistborn will take place after the gap itself but during the events of Arc 2. Because if Alloy is already industrialized, I don't think it would be much longer to get to a modern era, maybe 100 years or so.
  12. Eesh, the only book store in my town is a BAM and I haven't called to see if they'll have it. I was really hoping to pick it up before class Tuesday. Otherwise, I could try various general stores like Wal-Mart or Target but I shouldn't get my hopes up. I'd order it online but I want it the day it comes out without having to pay extra. On that note, is it only ~$18-20 for the hardcover if I order online and around $30 if I actually go somewhere to buy it?
  13. Do we know ANY vague hint as to why we're having this gap? I know that >SA is supposed to be read/taken as two separate arcs >Modern Mistborn trilogy will be written during this time so I'm assuming that it will obviously take place chronologically around this time And that's all. But it really bugs me that I know nothing at all whatsoever and if we could pull some magic to find any possible reason (doesn't even have to be elaborate), I would be pleased since otherwise, no clue why until ~5 years from now. I'm bad with words so I know that there's a story reason behind it (I don't expect a full spoiler nor would I want one) although I'm sure Brandon wants the break from SA too. I'm guessing some large and important event occurs. I don't know. I'm rambling now.
  14. Future Mistborn trilogy is supposed to feature space travel and more overall Cosmere "convergence" which is the part I am rock hard for.
  15. Could also be another vision, too.
  16. I don't know who that is but I'll check it out after I obtain and read the book. I didn't know you could blacklist certain tags until yesterday when I complained to a friend about seeing Kill la Kill spoilers blogged but this book is infinitely more important so I'm taking no chances.
  17. I hope it stays that way.
  18. I refuse to believe there is a Tumblr following for SA because no matter what it discusses, it will ruin the series and I won't be having that nonsense.
  19. Y'all are killing me with this. I can't even come onto this forum anymore without getting goosebumps all along my neck, arms, and legs. I finally know true suffering.
  20. Bad news: We're over. Good news: I'll consider retracting my words if you and your crack team of cryptoanalysts pump out a huge list of "Cosmere references/reveals in WoR" sometime during March for dumbs like me.
  21. I don't want spoilers, obviously, but in the review, you mentioned that there are tons of reveals. From that, I figure that they're Cosmere-related but are they more Stormlight-specific or overall Cosmere? And if they're overall, are they BIG MAJOR things (which I doubt but I want to ask anyway)?
  22. Oh man, don't tease me with all the things being revealed leaving even more significant stuff in the future. ;_;
  23. More Cosmere and Adonalsium tidbits and information.
  24. Can I ask what intrigues you about the series, as an older adult? For some reason, it makes me incredibly sad to read that last line. I also worry about the author himself. Everybody needs to survive.
  25. I wonder if we would even see the "prime" evil of the Stormlight arc as soon as Book 2. Or if there will be different main evils in the first half versus the last half.
